Can we please change the description of androgyny in the thread title to include people who are androgynous but instead of having a "non gendered" or "gender-neutral" appearance/presentation/identity are like very gendered but just both masc and fem, man and woman at the same time? We exist and it's really hard that everywhere we go we're basically invisible and all we find is like kind of the opposite of who we are

I can get a word in for ya, though "Gender-neutral" is the word I believe you are looking for, which is already on there.

"Gender Neutral: suitable for, applicable to, or common to both male and female genders."

Meaning both, like you are asking for, but correct me if I am wrong/misunderstanding.

It's not so much the definition but the way it's used.

Like when people say gender neutral what they are saying is either non gendered or inclusive of all genders. And in general when it's used in trans and especially nonbinary communities it tends to either be gender avoidant or explicitly not gendered. And it's just, people like me seem to be a minority in the nonbinary community which is in a lot of places a minority in the trans community. And some more explicit recognition would be nice especially when I feel like us multigender people get drowned out by the much larger demigender and agender parts of the overall community is all.

So the difference is at best gender neutral means any gender, or in a more binary way it means M and or F. And I'm more talking about M and F without the implication or possibility of the "or" part. Sorry I'm tired and not always great with words at the best of times.

And I'm sorry if I came off grumpy so to say. I've spent considerable efforts in the past trying to find more appropriate neopronouns for how I feel. And I've just spent hours looking for information on nonbinary transition related topics. And like with pronouns I've quite literally only found information on the exact opposite of what I want. Which is kind of the the point I'm trying to make here but not in the best way possible and I'm sorry for that.

Ohh, are you asking for a Bigender forum specifically?

No need to apologize!! You are just asking a question, which you are 100% allowed and I encourage asking questions :DD

Also when I think of gender neutral, I think, in the middle,

and of course with non-binary and such I think of neither in specific. y'know?

Link to comment

Yeah I know. There's just a lot more ways people can be nonbinary than in the middle, none, or nonspecific. Some nonbinary identities can be extremely specific, skewed in one way or the other, or more I guess I'm closer to all than to the middle.

I'm a metalhead and play guitar so I'm going to use an analogy that's like terrible, cliché, and awesome all at the same time.

I'm nonbinary but instead of having all the gender knobs at like 5 all mine are jammed at 11 and this thing only goes up to 10.

Oh I missed you asking me if I wanted a bigender forum specifically and can't figure out how to edit.

Like most of us multigender people consider ourselves nonbinary. It'd be nice but not any more nessecary to one for like any of the other more specific nonbinary identities like agender or demigender.

But yeah I guess this is the androgyne not androgynous forum. I am androgyne but like in the sense that I'm both masc and fem. A large part of it is yeah I'm both a man and a woman, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'm masc and fem. It's like a parallel but separate identity to bigender for me. I'm like complicated lol.

But when I was first learning about all this the two identities that made me go yeah that's me were androgyne and bigender, and suffice it to say I just like kinda ended up going with both. Which seems to be a common theme with me where gender is concerned lol

Sure I could ask, so would the forum be called "Multigender Forum"? Or do you have something else in mind?

Link to comment

I honestly don't even know. Multigender is probably good because there's like bigender, trigender, like I'll just go to n-gender, omnigender, pangender, and a lot of genderfluid people either under the multigender umbrella or heavily overlapping it.

I can see the issue with the forum explanation as it tried to define the term 'Androgyne'. This does tend to restrict the scope somewhat but, taking another view, the terminology of similar things has now got so convoluted that I honestly don't really think about it any more. There are lots and lots of terms meaning slightly different things. Some of the terms used tend to have slighly different meanings at times too. That is why I stick with Androgyne as it is the one term which many of the general public can handle and has foundation.

The best description I have seen, and which I use from time to time, is 'Androgyne people are both male and female or neither' (I might not be quoting exact as it was a long time ago I read it online somewhere). This, in effect, would cover things.

That does get you the 'starting point' for cup size, but manufacturers, style, breast shape, etc... will effect the results.    Step one is of course finding the proper band fit, then figuring out the approximate cup size with the calculations. Of course you need to try on a few styles after that in different cup sizes close to your measured result until you get the perfect fit.    I have bras in a DD that fit just like my bras in DDD both from Torrid but different styles.    I have some DDD's that fit awesome and some that are a bit loose, but I measure a 46G. It's not wonder that 80% of women are wearing them wrong bra.

I firmly believe I drank entirely to much for about 25 years. Got drunk every day. This was my coping mechanism to keep hiding deep inside that I was a woman. I miss a lot of signs over the years. Now I drink mabye 1 or 2 beers a day don't even get a buzz anymore. totally accept myself and on regret is that I hide that part of my self which  truly makes me happy being violet 💜. I wasted a lot of time before  being self destructive and had no clue I was just hiding th real me

Well it not morning and I haven’t been on her for a while but it’s nice to be back.  Did some catching up on everyone.  I do have a question, how is Toronto Canada for a get away? Is it a safe and friendly area for us to go.  The wife and I are looking for some where to go to allow me to be my true self.     thanks in advance

Hey, everyone. my life is going down the tubes. at least I think. So, today. A customer called about his car, I told him that the oil change was done. The parts to fix the check engine light are ordered. He can come and get it. For the weekend if he wants. Customer says I didn't want an oil change. it was check the engine light and check for an oil leak. Checking the work order says oil change. The boss wrote the vehicle up. checking with the customer on services wanted.   Being that I wrote down the appointment in the book. and clearly states oil leak. She is complaining because she can't read my small ish writing. It seems she read oil and assumed it as an oil change. It seems like she is blaming me.  She wound up going home because she was too upset. She is stressing about an eye problem she has, she has to get eye surgery it seems she has a tear in her eye.    I feel that I am short for this job. because of the BS they are blaming me on. Plus I am still upset about the trust issue. If either one of the bosses start their Shite tomorrow. I am walking out.

"I love you so much,"  Lois said.  They met in the driveway. "I could not live without you." "Neither could I." "What are we going to do?" "Find another counselor?" "No. I think we need to solve this ourselves." "Do you think we can?" "I don't know.  But what I know is that I don't want to go through that again.  I think we have to hope we can find a solution." "Otherwise, despair." "Yeah.   Truce?" "Okay,  truce." And they hugged.   "When we know what we want we can figure out how to get there."   That began six years of angry battles, with Odie insisted he could dress as he pleased and Lois insisting it did not please her at all.  He told her she was not going to control him and she replied that she still had rights as a wife to a husband. Neither was willing to give in, neither was willing to quit, and their heated arguments ended in hugs and more.   They went to a Crossdressers' Club, where they hoped to meet other couples with the same problems, the same conflicts, and the same answers, if anyone had any.  It took them four tries before they settled on a group that they were both willing to participate in.  This was four couples their own age, each with a cross dressing husband and a wife who was dealing with it.  They met monthly.  It was led by a 'mediator' who wanted people to express how they felt about the situation.  Odie and Lois, as newcomers, got the floor, and the meeting was finally dismissed at 1:30 in the morning - it was supposed to be over at 10 - and everyone knew how they felt about the situation.   There was silence in the car on the way home.   "We aren't the only ones dealing with this." Odie finally said.   "Who would have thought that?  You are right."   "Somebody out there has a solution." "I hope you are right."   "I hope in hope, not in despair."   "That's my Odie."

The counseling session was heated, if you could call it a counseling session.  Sometimes Lois felt he was on Odie's side, and sometimes on hers.  When he was on her side, Odie got defensive. She found herself being defensive when it seemed they were ganging up on each other.   "This is not working," Lois said angrily, and walked out.  "Never again. I want my husband back. Dr. Smith you are complicit in this."   "What?" said Odie.   The counselor looked at him.  "You will have to learn some listening skills."   "That is it? Listening skills?  You just destroyed my marriage, and you told me I need to learn listening skills?"   Dr. Smith said calmly,"I think you both need to cool off."   Odie looked at him and walked out, saying "And you call yourself a counselor."   "Wait a minute."   "No."
