Anybody who knows an older Trans MTF or gay Youtube Vlogger?

My problem with you tubers is most of them come off as suffering from narcissistic personality disorder.

All they do is constantly talk about themselves and show off fancy cars or homes they own.

Some actually do things that are interesting so I will watch those from time to time.

There is a lot of crap on there.  But there is some interesting stuff as well.

I like some of the ones that look at historical events.  There are some good channels of military history that I find interesting.  And I also enjoy some on vintage and historical clothing.

Well the range of videos I watch is stuff that has with creative things to do, and beauty care is also an important topic for me now. I am not into politics and such, but I can watch some videos about architecture, mostly elevators though.  Also I am curious to see how others live their daily life. Sometimes they are funny, do fun experiment with household stuff or beauty products. (I don't care what brand their car is, it's probably just loan to be "covertly advertised", I see all cars as just a mode of transportation and other obvious advertisement, if I am not into Fila's colothes I am just skipping it...). I like it when they talk about others, recommend or refer to other Youtubers as well. I don't believe much in talking too much about oneself in Youtube, even though many seem to do that, but I guess viewers should be the people who should feel important, the viewer should be the one who has the attention. There were some HBTQ+ Youtubers who inspired me somewhat. For example what do you like James Carles videos? In my country there is a similar person who I got inspired by, "Thomas Sekelius". And now I have got some more in my own age to watch thanks to you ?

So if I understand right, in order to make videos, be creative and get views, one has to "pander"? I am not a dishonnest person but I am very creative and people say filming and uploading to Youtube is a very good way to be creative.

If you want a lot of views/make money off it, yes you need to pander. YouTube is basically an attention economy, and most people that make channels will get nowhere with it as they compete with the media giants that are already capturing everyone's attention. I watched YouTube in the beginning, before it was bought by Google and before it had ads. It was nice back then. Now it is a pile of trash mostly consisting of click bait and ad-riddled videos. Sort of like a major source for bad opinions and home made infomercials. I don't really bother with it much anymore and certainly don't "follow" anyone.

I have two you tube accounts.  One is my (Lauren's) account.  I follow several nice trans people there, including our own Jackie Rabbit.  I also follow a couple of trans councilors that usually give good advice.  So far I haven't found any makeup channels I can connect with.  Most all of them are cute young things with unlined faces.  Not old ladies like me with a face like a road map.

The other account is my techie account.  Computers, flying, old missile silo tours, lock picking, LEGO, machining, people showing off science, you name it.  I must follow about 50 channels there.  I'm always adding more as anything interesting pops up.  I must be driving Google crazy.

What I don't follow from either account is any channel that is a about some person, either the channel operator or some celebrity.  I don't follow news, music, entertainment, politics, people selling things.  I am constantly rejecting suggested channels.  I'm now sure how much that affects Google's algorithm.  I still manage to get a lot of bad suggestion.

I think people are very different, there are different kind of youtubers and different kind of viewers. Take "Dieselducy" for example. How can he have so many views when he mostly rides around in towns and filming elevators? Also why I got interested, I think Youtube needs people in our age doing what those "young things" are doing with themselves. I have asked a network company and they said "infomercial" type vlogging is going up in ages, older people are doing it too more and more. I asked them because I was very depressed about seeing only younger people. Talking to them lightened my heart ? Why I am talking about this is because I have a burning interest in doing videos, but I have no good idea of what to film about, and I would really like to help awareness of  LGBT+,  plus in order to transist I might need to be able to pay for some of the part of the transition I need to be doing, for example beard removal. But it is not an absolute requirement.

  • VickySGV changed the title to Anybody who knows an older Trans MTF or gay Youtube Vlogger?

One YT channel I have watched from its beginning is called Life Uncontained.

Its about a young couple that bought two shipping containers and are building their own house out of them.

I have learned a lot just watching them.

Another channel I watch is called Anvil which is basically about old classic firearms and the gunsmith that fixes them.

I enjoy building firearms from surplus kits and find it very relaxing.

I think the first one rung a bell, it was pretty interesting to watch, I remember I watched some of it Xmas 2019. Two stories I believe ther nice home made house was. Two containers... Could be that video you saw...

No just one story but the section joining the two sections is higher and has windows to let light in.

They are doing a great job on the house and have added a water capturing system and pump house plus more solar panels.

They just about have all the wall board up inside the house now too.

For not knowing anything about building those two have done the research and learned a lot not to mention worked their butts off.

That still sounds interesting. I know I also watched an episode or two about a transsexual woman building a workshop shed from scratch on Youtube, I watched most because her ways of training her voice was quite unique.

There is lots of entertaining stuff on You Tube as well as educational stuff.

If I have a car repair or house repair I have never done I will watch a few YT videos on the subject and have a better understanding how to make the repair. A very useful platform.

I find the two of them unintentionally hilarious, if that says anything.

The kind of blogs I love to watch that I find just entertaining and sometimes funny, and also informative is those made by men with a female style, or some women. The best of them have all those elements, including lots of creativity, and when they are funny, they are indeed unintenionally funny ? Especially one guy who had the word "doggie" on his tongue when he was supposed to say "getting a family with a doggie, Dodge and house" and did a blooper that made a car brand mix up with "doggie", would probably translate to "Dodgie" in English. But it is sad these people are not older, but perhaps there is a trend coming with older vloggers, I see there is a business growing. Anyway it got me  interested in vlogging and I found a couple of female vloggers I am going to watch through. I love getting inspired by them.

I need to be my nest, but its freezing in here!  And GF is all curled up...she's gonna have to un-curl herself, because I'm gonna shiver to death without snuggles

"A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the fool's back.  Do not answer a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him."    Proverbs 26:4-5.....  possibly the first advice about spending time online

Not of people usually, but places have a "color sense" to me.  Not exactly visual, but like a feeling.  Almost a taste or sometimes tactile.    My home, and the temple of my faith community both have a strong feeling of "silver."  A tasteable, nearly tactile radiance...it means safety, and I seek it out.  It kind of transfers to people associated with those places, like my husband.  I knew he was good the moment I met him.  Some places have a color sense like fire, a combination of red and orange.  As you might expect, it is an exciting or dangerous feeling.  Attractive in a way.  Part of me is drawn toward it, another part of me is skittish of it.  Other places have a blue/green color sense, which can be iridescent toward purple-ish.  Its peaceful and calm.    What I really don't like is a sickly, greenish-gray color.  I can't even describe it fully.  The sense is slimy, slick, cold and revolting.  To me, it is a feeling of intense danger about a place or a person.  I'm usually more oblivious to the other color senses, but this one grabs my attention.  To me, it is associated with pure evil.    One of my strongest impressions of the evil color it happened at a natural spring in a state park near where I live.  I was walking around with a friend and I felt it, and she thought I was totally crazy.  I wanted to leave so bad, just terrified.  Thankfully she followed me out.  I only found out later that a murderer had escaped from prison and was recaptured there...he had been living near the spring, and we were maybe within 200 yards of him.  My color sense probably saved our lives.

Not exactly.  Me alone - I'm helpless and can hardly do anything.  But with my partners I'm protected and supported, and a lot more things are possible for me.    My husband teaches a lesson to his kids when they fight, I've seen him do this a couple of times.  He'll hand them a bundle of sticks tied together, and tell the kids to try to break it.  Of course, it doesn't work.  Then he takes the bundle apart, and tells them to break the sticks one by one.  One person alone is easily overwhelmed or broken.  Two or more people together can stand firm against adversity.

When I joined it was purely a play on Maybe. Mae happens to have a couple letters in common with my given name and I started using it when introducing myself to strangers. Since then, actually yesterday, when I caught up with an old friend and told her about my transition she thought she heard "Maeve" when I said "Mae". I could still use Mae as a nickname, it works well with my mother's name as a middle name (she died in 2019 and I love the idea of connecting with her memory more), and my initials wouldn't change if I change my name. So, Maeve it will likely be unless something better comes along. ;)

I've not had a lot of involuntary action in that department and I'm 6mo in. After 3mo. my T was under 30. My doc wanted labs mid-cycle (3-4 days after my shot) oddly, but I am going to insist on getting trough numbers to determine if T is pushing back when serum E is low. I almost felt like I was going to have MW yesterday morning when I woke up (day of my shot), so I get where your thoughts are on the subject. It would be good to know how long that suppression lasts, not that T&E levels are complete indicators--my doctor doesn't seem to have any plans to check for the broader spectrum of metrics I see a lot on forums like SHBG, etc.

Take two   blood letting is complete it took two of them pesky little mosquitoes.   our dog came to us mostly potty trained. She had a few “I can’t wait” moments but for the most part she was good.  She learned to ask th be let out. We had a bell on the door and taught her to ring the bell.  Then she learned how to open the door herself.  As long as it wasn’t locked out she’d go.  We had her trained to a hidden fence and collar she would go to the limit and sit and wait for us to tell her it was ok. She has always responded to verbal commands or my whistles.   Oh and there are obvious negatives about a dog knowing how to open doors.  She would disappear and we’d suddenly see her out the window.  Or we’ would let her out and suddenly realize she was sitting with us.  She never learned to close the doors, only open then.
