I've been trying to get this started for 30 plus years

I'm Denise, I'm 57 transgender  and I have tried 4 other times in 30 odd years to transition.  The first time I tried I was doing physical harm to myself and the doctors wanted to keep me in the hospital  under observation that was 34 years ago..

The one time I was going to start I got my first shot of estrogen and my therapist  went to Canada with a patient  who was getting bottom surgery. She said well continue when she came back. Well the patient  never made the surgery appointment  and it affected my therapist  to where she closed her therapy down this was 27 years ago.and if she didn't close her practice  I would be Denise full time.

Interesting thing was she proposed  an experiment  the surgeon she worked with about getting  the first uterus transplant done on a mtf transgender/transsexual and I volunteered  i was going to try it .the success rate was against me but it was worth trying .

Well since that  time I made myself so busy that I didn't think about transition again.id have dreams while sleeping but none when I was awake.

So that brings me to 3 years ago. My wife and daughter bought a bigger house because my sister inlaw with 3 kids lost their home and my wife and daughter  did what you do for family. Well I was a second thought at that time and I lost my full time job and Denise came back.I sought out a therapist  and she got me to talk about my issues and she did say she'd write my letter when it was time.Well my wife found out and got so upset I was told to make a choice. Well I'm still in male form but now I have a medical problem.

I went to my endocrinologist last week and my primary. My primary felt a swollen thyroid  and talked with my endo the endocrinologist is now sending me for an ultrasound. She felt the lump and asked it it hurt to swallow (yes) I've had heart burn for 8 months which I never had heartburn.im at the point I don't want to eat because it hurts.

Well after she made this ultrasound appointment  she asked me if I still wanted to transition and I told her yes.my blood work she said is at a females level and testosterone is just about non existent. So I'm waiting for the ultrasound  results and it looks like I'll finally be on my way to womenhood.

Thank you ,the only regret is I didn't continue to transition  27 years ago ,I was already living as a women for a year when my therapist closed he practice after her patient committed suicide.

And 27 years ago we didn't have as many therapist to see as we do today  .today though I feel trapped where I can't do what I can to make myself happy ,been married 21 year and when I got married  I met a woman who made me happy but since my full-time job made me unemployed I don't like myself

Hi @Denise savulski, Welcome to our forum. It’s interesting how we all have such unique journeys. With some luck, we all hope to find a way to get where we need to be. You are finally on your way. I know it seems like you’ve wasted all those years but in reality, you’ve become a stronger woman because of it. You’ve overcome much in that time to get to where you are today. Look at the good things that happened during those 27 years that you may have missed if you had transitioned earlier.

In therapy, I came to terms with my not completing transition in my early 20’s but I have come to realize I would have missed all my blessings—my wonderful wife, three beautiful daughters and my priceless grandkids. As difficult as it is to focus on the positive, it does help to realize the timing of your life had a purpose and it’s that purpose made you who you are.

Warmest Regards,

Susan R?

I do both. I bought a tiny spray bottle for home use. I change the (distilled) water in this daily. The first month after surgery, I used it religiously and it was like a portable bidet. Then as @VickySGV mentioned...simply blotting myself with a wad of toilet paper right after taking a leak.”

I always carry wet wipes in my purse for when I’m out and about which these days is not too often.

I also wear ‘pure cotton’ (my personal preference) pads during the day to keep the area dry. I was told by my surgeon...dryness promotes faster healing and reduces infection transmission. It’s been a few months now so I wear the smallest size pads at this point.

This is my regimen and I am very cautious, clean and try to avoid any chance of infections down there.

But how or where do I start i don't want to hurt anyone

I have to assume your referring to ‘transition in general’ and not my quote from 10 days before this thread was even started. Somehow it got inserted here by some system glitch into your post above.

If that’s the case then I’ll say...You have to accept the fact that you can’t please everyone with your choices. They are simply people out there that you will never convince that transition is the best choice for you. They may not be able to understand and they may become angry or hurt. You just try your best to live your life for you not the pleasure of others. You can start by making choices that affirm the true you.

My Best,

Susan R?

That does get you the 'starting point' for cup size, but manufacturers, style, breast shape, etc... will effect the results.    Step one is of course finding the proper band fit, then figuring out the approximate cup size with the calculations. Of course you need to try on a few styles after that in different cup sizes close to your measured result until you get the perfect fit.    I have bras in a DD that fit just like my bras in DDD both from Torrid but different styles.    I have some DDD's that fit awesome and some that are a bit loose, but I measure a 46G. It's not wonder that 80% of women are wearing them wrong bra.

I firmly believe I drank entirely to much for about 25 years. Got drunk every day. This was my coping mechanism to keep hiding deep inside that I was a woman. I miss a lot of signs over the years. Now I drink mabye 1 or 2 beers a day don't even get a buzz anymore. totally accept myself and on regret is that I hide that part of my self which  truly makes me happy being violet 💜. I wasted a lot of time before  being self destructive and had no clue I was just hiding th real me

Well it not morning and I haven’t been on her for a while but it’s nice to be back.  Did some catching up on everyone.  I do have a question, how is Toronto Canada for a get away? Is it a safe and friendly area for us to go.  The wife and I are looking for some where to go to allow me to be my true self.     thanks in advance

Hey, everyone. my life is going down the tubes. at least I think. So, today. A customer called about his car, I told him that the oil change was done. The parts to fix the check engine light are ordered. He can come and get it. For the weekend if he wants. Customer says I didn't want an oil change. it was check the engine light and check for an oil leak. Checking the work order says oil change. The boss wrote the vehicle up. checking with the customer on services wanted.   Being that I wrote down the appointment in the book. and clearly states oil leak. She is complaining because she can't read my small ish writing. It seems she read oil and assumed it as an oil change. It seems like she is blaming me.  She wound up going home because she was too upset. She is stressing about an eye problem she has, she has to get eye surgery it seems she has a tear in her eye.    I feel that I am short for this job. because of the BS they are blaming me on. Plus I am still upset about the trust issue. If either one of the bosses start their Shite tomorrow. I am walking out.

"I love you so much,"  Lois said.  They met in the driveway. "I could not live without you." "Neither could I." "What are we going to do?" "Find another counselor?" "No. I think we need to solve this ourselves." "Do you think we can?" "I don't know.  But what I know is that I don't want to go through that again.  I think we have to hope we can find a solution." "Otherwise, despair." "Yeah.   Truce?" "Okay,  truce." And they hugged.   "When we know what we want we can figure out how to get there."   That began six years of angry battles, with Odie insisted he could dress as he pleased and Lois insisting it did not please her at all.  He told her she was not going to control him and she replied that she still had rights as a wife to a husband. Neither was willing to give in, neither was willing to quit, and their heated arguments ended in hugs and more.   They went to a Crossdressers' Club, where they hoped to meet other couples with the same problems, the same conflicts, and the same answers, if anyone had any.  It took them four tries before they settled on a group that they were both willing to participate in.  This was four couples their own age, each with a cross dressing husband and a wife who was dealing with it.  They met monthly.  It was led by a 'mediator' who wanted people to express how they felt about the situation.  Odie and Lois, as newcomers, got the floor, and the meeting was finally dismissed at 1:30 in the morning - it was supposed to be over at 10 - and everyone knew how they felt about the situation.   There was silence in the car on the way home.   "We aren't the only ones dealing with this." Odie finally said.   "Who would have thought that?  You are right."   "Somebody out there has a solution." "I hope you are right."   "I hope in hope, not in despair."   "That's my Odie."

The counseling session was heated, if you could call it a counseling session.  Sometimes Lois felt he was on Odie's side, and sometimes on hers.  When he was on her side, Odie got defensive. She found herself being defensive when it seemed they were ganging up on each other.   "This is not working," Lois said angrily, and walked out.  "Never again. I want my husband back. Dr. Smith you are complicit in this."   "What?" said Odie.   The counselor looked at him.  "You will have to learn some listening skills."   "That is it? Listening skills?  You just destroyed my marriage, and you told me I need to learn listening skills?"   Dr. Smith said calmly,"I think you both need to cool off."   Odie looked at him and walked out, saying "And you call yourself a counselor."   "Wait a minute."   "No."
