My wife is stressed, of course, but coping.  Our lovely neighbours are helping her with stuff like starting the generator and so on.  We are both hanging in.  She, at least, has kitties.

Update: no surgery, no trip to the city.  I still need it, but they can’t find a vehicle to transport me.  A collapsed lung is too low on the triage scale to warrant an ambulance, so I have to wait here until no one else wants one.

 

Man, this sucks.

I am considerably less grumpy today.  My ride arrived, and I am now in the big city hospital.  I have been seen by all the nurses, and the resident doctor.  I’ll know more about the surgery soon.

They took me by ambulance.  I had to wait because there is a chronic shortage of ambulances, because the ERs are backed up, etc., etc..  Anyway, I am here now.
