How to pee in the woods?

DawnD

Recommended Posts

Okay so this is going to be one of those questions that popped into my head and quite honestly I have thought about it way more than I probably should be. But I have no idea the answer.  But now I just need to know.

When a girl has to pee in the woods(just pee) they pull down their underwear and squat. What I am wondering is do they lean forward and pee behind them or lean backwards and pee in front of them.

I have never had the opportunity to watch and growing up with male genitals I always assumed peeing in front. I am now curious.

Thanks and happy Tuesday

Dawn

Can't say much, still having my original plumbing.  But I was married a long time, and have 6 daughters.  It never seemed to be an issue.

The big thing was to watch out for poison ivy.

Forwards and back, though I pull to the side, so it's a bit more challenging. Deep squat though to minimize the splash zone.

Mine goes whichever direction it wants!  The big thing it to plant your feet far enough apart that you don't pee on your shoes.

Exactly. Wide-stance. Squat low.

I have original female equipment, and I'm frequently outdoors.  The first question is....pants on, or tossed to the side?  Pantsless is easier...just stand with legs wide apart and mind the flow.  Even better if there's a crevice or depression in the ground you can straddle.

With pants/shorts around your ankles, there's sort of a weird squatting/shuffling, leaning backwards thing you do.  Clothes are obnoxious.

Dawn, this is on of those rare occasions when the title of the post "How to Pee in the Woods" was just too much for me to ignore.  As attention getters go, this one couldn't be ignored.  I just had to check out this post.

I'm here, but I really don't have much to offer since my plumbing, much like Jandi, is still the plumbing I was born with.  When peeing in the woods with boy-parts, the only real concern is to avoid your shoes and don't pee on an electric fence.

I can't stop chuckling.  Thanks so much for the lighthearted question.

😔If only it were just pulling pants down. You kinda have to hold your pants forward as you squat, sticking your but out as far as possible leaning forward cuz of splatter. Always carry extra tissues.

@Sally Stoneand I are here for the same reason. I just had to look. Now I'm reminded of a quote I read from another trans friend. "Use It until you loose It." while out in the woods, on the farm, or in a private bathroom. In a public bathroom turn around and squat.

Always mind the wind, splash, and dry, before tucking back.

I will never forget watching my wife pee before wee were married.  I quickly understood the advantage a wide bottomed skirt provided for its ease and the privacy it provided.  Pants don't quite work the Safeway.

Omergerd. Yep the title got my attention. My many and varied girlfriends and partners mostly used Mx.Drago method. Though one had a 'she-wee' and loved it. Tried to do the boy thing and spray me she did .. LOL

LOL! I never thought of this and still have yet to experience it. Does peeing in a Japanese squat toilet count? In that case, I go with the leaning back method. Everything down to the ankles, grab the pipe or something in front of you (a tree if you're outside?), and lean back.

Oh, my God! I laughed at all the answers. And, it just brought to mind several memories.

When I was in the Army, we would take Air Force recruiting posters and hang them above the urinals - "Aim High!"

And then I thought of those fake book titles from when I was young like "Wet sneakers" by I. P. Standing. "Yellow River" by I. P. Daily. And, of course, "How To Fall Off a Cliff" by Eileen Dover.

You all crack me up!!

Pre-op here (most likely non-op).  I tried squatting outside once just… because.  Between trying to keep my balance, and not hitting my clothes (skirt), it didn't go well.  I have to admit, the old plumbing is useful sometimes.

Agreed Ivy.  Sometimes the little hose is beneficial.🤭

I will also admit the title drew me in. In the service, they taught us to use our e-tool to dig something called a "cat hole" to do our business in the field. Think of it as a DIY squat toilet and you get the idea.

That saird, I think the best word to use to answer the question is "carefully. Very carefully." 😂

I have to admit that this question plays a part in my decision to stick with (some of) the original equipment. My considerations for deciding yes or no on what the cis call THE OPERATION I'd rank this way 1) realizing the transition from straight male to lesbian didn't call for such a thing 2) the risks of any operation especially as you get older and 3) hiking often in the woods!

On a hike the other day a woman talked about how she made sure that she always had some tissues for just such a situation and thought it should be suggested for anyone out there taking a long walk.

So i wrote this question after a hike in the woods. I was experimenting with taping and tucking. I got a hold of some really good(Aparently) medical tape and secured myself nice and flat. I left a spot so pee could dribble out. I tested peeing in the toilet, and blotted the drips.Threw on some panties with my man attire over it. Then grabed some TP, my camelback for water, and hit the trail. Well after a while(a few miles)and a lot of water(I was excited to NEED to squat)nature's call came in force. I found a secluded spot. Dropped my shorts and panties and went down. Unfortunately I dropped my shorts and panties to my ankles and I could not figure out how to get my bottom either in front or behind them to not pee on them and maintain balance. My hiking boots were too big to take them off and the pressure was intense for relief.  I clawed and the tape but like I said "it was really good tape" I was stuck. I was thinking I was going to have to pee myself, when I saw a fallen log just right to hang my butt over. Wow..... most satisfying pee ever...

I am not much for porn, I feel it is harmful in many ways to both girls an guys. But like they say you can find anything on the internet. Including videos of girls peeing it nature. I now get it..... if I pull my stuff down to my knees not my ankles,  my bottom is then the lowest point. Just that little detail makes a huge difference. In all the comments not one person mentioned it as it is such an tiny automatic thing you don't think about it.

Historically, women did not wear panties, which was convenient.  And when they started wearing "drawers," they were usually split, so they didn't need to be removed in that situation.

Of course now days most wear pants or shorts a lot of the time.  But toilets are generally available - except in the woods.

And to be fair, most of the park toilets I've run across you'd want to squat over anyway.

Sometimes it's hard to find a toilet you can use (unless you're a customer) in the cities too.

I keep a "Pee Jar" in my car for those times when I'm not comfortable with certain facilities.

Yes, that just about covers it. In my case with pants on you "really" have to "pee slow" or the stream might jump forward into your pants as well. But my genitals are different than the typical female, or males for that matter.

https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/mississippi-passes-bill-allowing?r=k5hac&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web   This part could be pretty bad-   "Lastly, it offers a “private right of action” that appears to be targeted at transgender people, allowing cisgender people to sue to prevent transgender people from using bathrooms aligned with their gender identity…"   I can see a potential for bathroom "vigilantes" to use this.  Just paying legal fees to defend yourself can ruin you, regardless of the outcome of the case.

It's all well and good, but the facts on the street will always be different than what is written on paper. It takes a very long time for an EEOC or OSHA complaint to get attention. For most people, the length of time between filing a complaint and something actually getting done means just finding a different job.

As a transgender male often I feel as if I'm not viewed as man enough especially around other biological males. I often also feel as if I'm not enough in general not good enough to have the things that I have because I ruin everything and I feel like a phony when trying to pass. I look in the mirror and my outside appearance doesn't match the way I want to look and appear and my mom prevents me from reaching my maximum male potential and around my mom I'm always mis-genderd and she tells me that Im not a man and never will be one which plays into me feeling not man enough because I feel like I never will me the man I know I am. I don't know what to do with these feelings and thoughts.

I was really lucky when I gave up smoking. I just decided one morning that I just didn't want to smoke anymore. That was back in 1996. The silly thing was, I still had a couple of packets left I and used them up! After that I only 'borrowed' less than a handful in the months after that and I haven't missed them since.

Our Maltese daughter-in-law makes a very mean Bolognese sauce, which we combine with spiral pasta. We pulled some leftovers out of the freezer for tonight's meal.   Tomorrow night will be chicken Kiev, with potato segments baked in the same dish, accompanied with boiled peas and broccolini.

I suspect some of these people are not primarily LGBTQ+ but primarily get their kicks by publicly shocking other people.  They take advantage of the parade and think they can get away with it year after year, and sometimes do.  Not just the parade, but sometimes other events that provide cover for them to act this way. They do a great deal of damage to perceptions by the public and by the legislators against us.

I used to smoke many years ago.  Now it makes me sick on my stomach which I consider a plus.

I use a electric kettle and a French press.   I am not a fan of Starbucks.  I sometimes go to a local coffeeshop, but am satisfied with your basic coffee and a scone.

Many "red" or "blue" states are not monolithic.  NC splits something like 49-51.  Actually, about 1/3 Rep, 1/3 Dem, and 1/3 nonaffiliated.     Since the legislature makes the districts, they favor the Rep to a 1 vote super majority.  Our Governor is Dem, and Dems can win statewide elections.   Of course you'd never know that with what is coming out of the statehouse lately. My point is that the "shifting" is not really shifting, it only reflects the actual population of the state.   When I was growing up I used to hear it said that "changing her mind was a woman's prerogative."  I embrace that.  I am fine with changing my mind when I want to.  Things change, sometimes we need to change as well.  I don't consider that as "unstable" - just not dead yet.
