Hi another newbie appears

Hi my name is Tengu259. I've been part of the queer community since my teens, but haven't really considered myself trans or even thought of questioning my gender until recently. Several of my friends have begun transitioning, and while I wouldn't consider myself trans, I can't deny I don't really identify as male or female myself. More like a range of both that wanders one end of a spectrum to another, but never to an extreme. Maybe 80% male/20% female at most, and the inverse as well. It changes over time, throughout the day. Not sure what I am, and after talking to an agender friend and some trans friends, I decided to explore this part of myself more fully. 

 

Anyway that's why I'm here. Undoubtedly I'll be reading quite a bit at first, I don't really have much more to say at this point.

Welcome to the community. No matter where you are in you journey or your identity, there is a lot of great info and access to resources and people who have or are making their own journeys.

Honestly with where I was raised I didn't even consider that gender identity and bio sex could be seperate things until I starting meeting trans ppl when I was 19-20ish. Until recently, within the last 2-3 years, I never even had fantasies about being different genders. Now my personal gender identity seems to drift between mostly male to mostly female, but I don't really feel any discomfort with my body or how I look. Was hoping someone here had had similar experiences.

Welcome to the Forums. We have members here that will be talking about that in time.  I know people in your situation as well, and the term they use is Gender Fluid.  Their needs are safe spaces where their fluidity is accepted and they can be themselves without discomfort to anyone.

Thanks again. I suppose in RL I'm fairly well-off in terms of support, at least half my social network consists of queer ppl. Already spoken to my spouse and friends about it, one of whom is transistioning. No one in my social circles is going to be bothered by this. 

My primary concerns were exploring my own identity, and hearing about the experiences of others. I'd eventual like to try out dressing more as a woman, but I wouldn't know where to start.

Welcome @Tengu259! Glad you're here! While my closet ventures never left the house, they were probably more along the lines of fetish, IDK, over the top. But after finding this forum, accepting this really is me & it's okay then starting the journey of exploring, androgynous was a comfortable first step for me. Today I dress as other women around where I live dress.
