LOL! I wear a pair of briefs, compression shorts to hold my packer and spandex shorts, my binder pulled down over top. If I wear a tight belt, there's no way I'm getting exposed. And I didn't say I was gonna Shower. :P I go 3 days without showering on a regular basis and I can do a week! XD

Lewis,

Go get 'em!!

Showering is your friend, Lewis. I smell pretty funky if I skip showering for a weekend.

Not taking a shower is not cool. like Ainsley said showing is your friend.

Any way seems like you've got you mind made up, just wanted to point out some concerns to ya, again think about it Lewis it's really a big step and i wouldn't want you to be outed or hurt in anyway just looking out for ya little guy.

In the end, you'll do what you have to do. I must say though...a daily shower isn't a bad thing. If you go to camp and need to skip it, that's one thing. However, don't confuse being dirty with being manly. The most manly people I know shower daily. DAILY.

Ummm not for nothing... but Lewis is right on the showering issue.

When boy scouts are on a weekend hike and camp... no one showers. On these occasions, boy scouts march all day on Saturday to the next base camp to enjoy chow and setting up tents and getting even dirtier than on the march. Sitting around the fire at night playing jokes on one another. Which of course requires more dirt. Getting up on Sunday. Saying prayers. Marching again all day to the camp you started from on Saturday. The glory was that you were dirtier than you ever thought possible!!

Glory days!!!

Lewis you are right on!!

Thanks bernii, someone else also pointed that out too I think. :) I'm glad SOMEONE has my back on this! :P I appreciate everyone's concern, truly. But I am a "Smart Kid". I go into things knowing what to expect, a lot of the concerns other guys express, are concerns I also think of right off the bat. "Pantsing" I saw that on TV of course... I didn't see that as an issue because I don't wear loose pants, and in general with my binder, and spandex and underwear all tucked in, it wouldn't be an issue. Swimming, that's not hard to cover. I have a couple options. I can get the swim compression shirt from underworks, or for that matter a regular one like that, and just put it on over my binder. I have stretchmarks, and I'm fat, I'm not sure I'd feel completely comfortable being topless without having chesticles. and a lot of guys don't feel comfortable taking their shirt off. If they wanna see me topless so bad, I can make a comment about them being gay. :P I can wear a rash guard shirt over top of my binder, though I wonder about it cause it's clingy. If questions arise, I plan to have one of those binders with the compression only in the chest, I can say I'm wearing an undershirt, like the compression kind, and a spandex shirt, which helps support my back. "Back Brace" has always been the excuse I thought to use before. For bathroom stuff, when I go to camp, I'll have my STP in place 24/7. I'll wear them with a jock strap, the shaft going out of a hole. I can squat and go in the woods, without exposing anything, if I have to. and I can pee standing up. I might have to order a different STP, from DJs, cause I don't think Mango will deliver in time...

Meh, but I'm rambling again... anyway, ain't nothing gonna hold me back.

I wish you well but I suspect this isnt going to end well. Teenage lads will not accept I don't want to take my top of because I am fat, they will rip it off or just torment you they are not sensitive souls. Not showering when your doning heavy excercise is vile and not manly at all its also unhealthy.

Lewis, it isn't that I don't have your back. It's that I am making sure you've thought about everything because I care what happens to you. This is what older people do. We tell you things you probably already know. Once in a while we'll say something you haven't thought of. Most of the time we probably won't. Just bear with us.

If you can get your doctor to fill out your paperwork, you probably can take care of yourself at camp. After all, I've heard that there were FTM's who served in the Civil War.

Check it

The article talks about women fighting as men, but I think these people were actually FTM's from back in the day.

Anyway, my point is that these guys stayed safe without store bought binders or STP's, without T, and without the internet. That's pretty cool.

Lewis, I believe in you, but I still worry.

On the subject of STP's, I don't think you will EVER get stuff you ordered from Mango. They are, as they say, "kaput". Lots of people are complaining about Mango right now. DJ ships pretty quickly. He's in Canada, so it takes a bit....but I think he usually mails stuff right away. If I were you, I'd also make sure I had a "plan B". You are such a handy fellow. Maybe try making an STP? Judging from YouTube videos I've seen, it isn't too hard once you get the materials. There's one video posted that's really good.

Boy Scouts of America membership controversies

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boy_Scouts_of...p_controversies

"The Supreme Court of the United States has affirmed that as a private organization, the BSA can set its own membership standards."

Do understand that given these restrictions it is unlikley they would accept a Transgender person knowingly especially without chest surgery. In addition boys will be expected to take their shirts off for certain sporting activities. Transgenders are often perceived to be gay no matter what their real orientation really is.

Do I wish the facts were different? Yes I do. I know what this means to you. You could consider legal options but the odds are steep.

Do keep in mind that you would be falsifying a legal document to go. That is generally frowned upon by most organizations. That's something that can get you in serious trouble.

Gosh, missed Monday again.   Did you know that Producer Keith Oslen was distraught because the duo his recorded Buckingham-Nicks first album went nowhere? In walked Mick Fleetwood also distraught because once again Flleetwood Mac lost a guitarist in Bob Welsh and he was at least going studio shopping and came to Sound City in LA because he'd heard the drum sound they got there was incredible. He asked Oslen to play something recorded there. Olsen played some of Buckingham-Nicks and Fleetwood loved the sound of the guitarist and wanted Buckingham. Olsen said he comes with Nicks because Olsen managed both. Fleetwood didn't want Nicks but eventually the remaining Mac members said okay and next thing you know - the Fleetwood Mac that scored a huge following was born. Sadly right after the "Fleetwood Mac" album and before "rumours" was recorded, the band got huge headed and got rid of Oslen so they didn't have to play him a lot of music they wanted to keep. Olsen did ok after by recording Ozzy Osbourne, the Grateful Dead, Whitesnake, Pat Benatar, Heart, Santana, Saga, Foreigner, Scorpions, Journey, The Babys, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Joe Walsh, 38 Special, and Eric Burdon & the Animals, among others. BTW - Olsen was also a members in 1967 of a band called Music Machine (not the James Taylor one) that scored a huge hit with the song "Talk Talk"

Still on contentment high from Sunday.
    • Heather Shay
CONTENTMENT The relentless pursuit of happiness often overshadows the more subtle yet profound emotional state of contentment. While happiness may be a fleeting high, contentment is the gentle hum of satisfaction that resonates through the soul, offering a sustainable path to life satisfaction. Oscar Wilde's poignant observation encapsulates this truth: "True contentment is not having everything, but in being satisfied with everything you have."

I've been looking forward to the legitimate medical groups coming out strongly against Cass' biased and one sided report, so I'm really glad to see the article you posted, @Davie.  Unfortunately, it won't get nearly the coverage that Cass has gotten.  She has done her dirty work.  Hopefully the pushback and investigative reports on her and her support network will result in her work being shown for what it is.  She is a fraud, and sooner or later all frauds are found out.   Carolyn Marie

CONGRATULATIONS, Jessica!!  That's really BIG! I myself did not experience a huge emotional roller coaster.  It was more like a smooth slide into emotional comfort.  The biggest effect I felt is when my Dr put me on T-blockers first.  I felt a bit 'empty' for a couple of months, but then realized it was just because the 'T-monster' was no longer running around inside of me.  Then I felt it was my new 'normal'. I feel like the estradiol was the 'frosting' on my transition affirmation.  It's been only positives.  I do cry a lot more, but it's only because I finally feel free to allow my emotions to come out.  To me it's not 'hormonal' ... it's FREEDOM!   Everybody is different but it sounds like you are under great care.  I hope you have a beautiful first year in transition on HRT (keep us updated if you can).
