I have used that L A Colors black and liked it pretty well.  I mostly use Sinful Colors stuff that I pick up at the grocery store.  Usually a couple of coats topped with a clearcoat.  The clearcoat seems to help a lot.

I'll probably go with the black and a Goth Hag look for Pride Month.  Could be fun.

Not matte, but the clearcoat really does the trick - especially if you use 2 coats of it.  Looks like glass.

Actually, I never met a brand I didn't like, especially if the brand isn't expensive.  I buy mostly for the shade and don't pay much attention to the brand.  And based my experience, less expensive brands work just as well as the high-priced ones.

I am quite fond of very shiny nails, so I always use high-shine gloss coat over the color coat.  My go to gloss coats are Revlon Ultimate Shine Top Coat and CND Top Coat.  Both provide a long-lasting wet look.

There is something empowering about the color red, right Sam?

I treat myself to gels at the salon at month + intervals.  I've kinda just floated into a dark red.  If i trim my fingers as the nails grow the gels almost act as an armor, keeping splitting to a minimum.  Pedicures are a must as my worn hips no longer let me reach my toes.

The salon uses OPI i believe.

Your comments are perfect.

Toe nails just have to be red.

Unless whimsy strikes ha ha

Isn’t it great to be a girl?

I fall into the same thoughts as @CharlizeI treat myself at a local nail salon once a month, or the day before we're attending a function. The pedicure works out to be every three months or so unless sandals are the foot wear of choice then I'll have the nails touched up.

Three years ago my wife suggested we go to a couples spa resort, and I should get a mani/pedi too so we could spend the entire time together. She had no idea of the mani/pedi addiction she opened up in me. Since I still work in a metal fabrication shop from time to time, it's important that my nails are durable. I've found that Dip Coatings work best for my finger nails, and gel coats on my toes. I started with mat colors that are close to a natural look on my finger nails, and a little more adventurist on my toe colors. Now that I'm out and most of the people I care about, know about me. I keep my finger nails as shinny as I can get them. My toes are a light purple right now and my sandals really show them off. I never cut my nails. I only file them back into shape.

Shine on, in your favorite color,

@Charlize my knee problems make it difficult for me - coupled with bad eyesight. Pedicures are fantastic.

I have only dabbled using Sally Hansen instant dry from the supermarket in Mulbarry and Pink.

I did consider using masking tape aound mails for the crisp edge lol

I lover the photos. Good shade. Loved pedicures - but dry time always seems to leave smears anyway. Maybe Sally Hansen instant dry worth a shot as pro care is pretty costly in my neck of the woods.

Good for you Hannah!  I've started using the gel polish and UV nail dryer unit myself recently too.  This combination works better than the other polish did for me as it doesn't wear quite as quicky, because in my barista job it's pretty hard on my nails.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either

so, a close friend wants to cook for me   the issue is, she is a vegitarian and won't handle meat- I, on the other hand, won't handle vegetables- hate the things   every time she goes out to the shop, she comes back with something.. a cake, a fruit smoothie, a coffee, I won't eat any of it. please help me think of something that she could make for me that I'll actually eat   disclaimer: you are talking to the most pickiest eater in the world. good luck

I think there is some truth in this.  They intend to implement Project 2025, whether or not he spends his energies persecuting the Democrats who have been persecuting him (in his view, a debatable point) and does nothing else.   I have seen numerous accusations that the document is about "Trumpism", whatever that is, and is merely a vehicle for him to become dictator.  From what I have read so far, that is the same sort of truth as the Steele Dossier, denying the validity of a certain laptop, Schiff's non-existence evidence of collaboration and a host of other things, many directly from Biden, that are simply not true.   I will continue reading it.

      Who, precisely, are "they"?

Wife of mine pointed out that not getting a haircut for a month looks hideous - weird bald patches.  So back to super- short buzz cut.  This morning I braced, looking in the mirror.  I look like a woman trying to pass as a a guy, maybe  a small-breasted woman with enough T treatment to grow a mustache.    I would not believe me if I read what I write about me.  This is nuts.   White t-shirt: that they sell in the back of WM so you can tie-dye them or otherwise decorate them. They are thick and long lasting and slightly fitted, so that they could be a man's.  I like them.   Jeans, flip flops.   I will no longer point out these are women's.  What else would I wear?

Quite right mate! I have been letting my hair grow out again (I cut it all off when I was 18).    I'll never look this good:    But I'll aspire to look my best! ☺️
