9 Months on HRT Check In

It's been 9 months.  Lately I've been trying to come to terms with where my sex life is headed.  I've been living alone for 4 years since my last partner died (I'm currently 52 years old).  I purposely got an erection a couple weeks ago.  I think I've only tried one other time in the last 7 months.  It was very painful and distressing.  I still find myself attracted to women more than men, although I am more attracted to men than I was.  But being aroused and having an erection is a no go for me at this point.  For me, I feel that I must have a surgery to have sexual activity, or really any arousing activity.

 

As for the rest of it, things are peachy.  I'm more social.  I actually enjoy going out in public now for the first time in my life.  It's obvious now that I've been trying to hide my femininity my whole life.  I didn't ever take that to extremes, but it has been working behind the scenes.  I wore my black mini-dress and cardigan to work yesterday and enjoyed stroking my smooth legs during a meeting.  I then went downtown like that after work and felt like a million bucks.

 

Things are going great and if I never have sex again, it's still a great deal for me.  Surgery is not on the horizon, but I'm confident that it will happen one day.  OK, time to get another cup of coffee and go to work!

I am also 52... pleased to meet you ... does HRT change your attractions? One of the things I can say about myself is that I have always been VERY attracted to females (had crushes on cute girls in second grade, etc.). I am just enamored with the female body and have never had any attraction to the male species (a lot of male sexuality kind of grosses me out, actually). Just curious what impact HRT has on that...

 

Glad things are going great for you... impressed by your confidence... and I too love the feeling of smooth legs... have been shaving since 2015...

I'm still only really attracted to females and the female form. That's cool. As my gender specialist says, 'well you're a lesbian then.'
