It is becoming apparent that even though we get a lot of noise thrown at us, it is all from a limited number of sources who are going to do what they are going to do.  Our close friends and neighbors who know us and see us daily recognize us for who we are and as wonderful people.  My personal rule is that if you are not is a mail code within 20 miles of me that your opinions of me are of no value in my life.  It can be scary at first, but someone from the other side of the world has other problems they need to deal with, not me.

Since an event like choosing a homecoming queen is typically focused on students' votes, I'm not sure how rational folks can blame the school for this one....but it seems to be happening.  Can't let pesky details get in the way of a good outrage, I guess.
