Would You Date A Transsexual?

I thought about this before, and I seriously considered the "No" answer. However... Some MTFs are REALLY hot ;P So, yes, I would date an MTF as long as they were on hormones and hopefully had electrolysis. Otherwise, if it was an FTM, or a pre-anything MTF, or a cis man, no... I could be close friends but as for a more physical relationship, showing affection and all that... It would feel too weird...

Actually ? (scratches head) I dunno. It started somewhere around the time I stopped reading lesbian ones. Ok, thats not exactly true  one didn't stop and the other IMMEDIATELY begin. I stopped reading the lesbian ones (when I still was "living amongst the lesbians") cuz their novels became ..........not boring per se....but "annoying" lol in a way.

yeah i can understand that...still dont get why you switched to gay novels though and not hetero ones, lol.

It was in the first response :) You missed it. Essentially, "too syrupy". Its for someone who wants to hear about "how he makes her heart palpitate" and from the perspective of a straight female. Now if a book really was going to be "ultimate" (and it might take for me to write it for myself **scratches head) It would be a guys book, writtten from the perspective of a man who likely would be trans, with an adventure, if theres sex its explicit, and not need to make that explicit sex "derogatory" in order for it to be acceptable that's being had in essentially a man's fantasy in order to "apologize" for that. He would not have to "have problems coping" because of his transness or go through any horrors because of being trans either. I essentially want to see an unafflicted, sound person, who enjoys the world, have a storyline, daring and with transmale bonding too (that actually is a big part- in gay novels at least they give guys same sex friends and have friend scenes, straight guys aren't too often written having the "buddy" moment) , and unashamed graphic with a woman and maybe -though he doesn't have to have a "relationship " like this- have the capacity to fall in love in his lifetime.

oh that's what you meant by "het", lol i couldnt figure that one out. ive never heard that before :P yeah so i misread, i thought that whole explanation was about lesbian novels and why you stopped reading them.

....because those books are geared towards women the same way porn is geared towards men - you can probably find something more what you are looking for but it will take a bit more more searching haha

There's this girl I like in my language class and I was thinking of maybe asking her out. She doesn't know I'm trans and I'm not sure if I want to tell her anytime soon. Somehow during the debate on whether or not I should ask her out I got myself on the subject of would I date someone who was transgender. I came to the conclusion that I wouldn't. Since I like girls I guess I would be going out with a MTF and I just couldn't see myself doing it. Especially if they hadn't gotten bottom surgery yet. It would just seem.... Weird. It's not that I would have anything against them it's just I don't think I could be physically attracted to them... If that makes sense.

So Guys would you date a MTF? And I guess for you MTFs, who I know like to lurk on our board, would you date a FTM?

To be honest, I would date anyone that had a nice personality and that I thought was hot. XD

I am fascinated with MTFs and FTMs and androgynes, anyway. I seem to be the only androgyne that I know, too, so it would be nice to meet some, and MTFs and FTMs. I love it all. XD I just need to find an area where that sort of population is larger than here so that I can meet some. I'm dying to meet new people! O_o

I would date most anyone who is gender fluid, it might be fun ;) .

However, I have a girlfriend of almost 4 years and I really need to tell her. (going to go post this on another topic now...)

I myself would date an FTM in a heartbeat. Just it would clear up all the confusing stuff that happens in every relationship I try to hold onto. Mostly I aim for bio females, but I don't descriminate on gender and associate with pansexual. I would date an MTF if her and I hit it off very well. I base more off of personality and just being able to realte is a definate plus.

Ah cool another Virginian. I live up in the Sterling area near Fairfax right down the street from the Potomac river. :D I like it but I think when it gets time to go in HRT and transition visibly I'll time it with the sale of my townhouse during my trade up to a single detached house. :D Just move on up towards the DC metro area. You live near a bunch military bases so if there are any fellow GID people out there most are probably stuck in the closet because of the don't ask don't tell policy lest they want to lose their jobs. The military isn't very tolerant unfortunately.

Regarding the topic what matters to me is the person's personality and compatibility but it wouldn't hurt if I thought the other person was a hottie. :D

Well, if you would have asked 15 to 20 years ago I would have said no. But that was only because I wanted children. Now I would definately say yes, and of course it all depends on personality. I'm still not sure weather I would be interested in a man or woman. I suppose I'll figure that out later. :P

Ah, I know where that is. One of my sister's friends moved there not to long ago.

So true. Not a lot of people are all that open minded out here. I'm lucky enough to have found friends that are all right with my androgyny. My mother, not so much, heh. My permit/license picture it looks like I'm a boy and she doesn't like it. She was like "Ugh, you look like a boy" I was like "Psh! No I don't!" but secretly I was smiling like "XD Heehee!" Militaryyyy, uggggh. That's so true.

I consider myself Pansexual, so I'd date an F2M or an M2F. I would also date a cisgendered person of either gender. I'd date a crossdresser. (My current bf isn't quite one but he is pretty feminine - even when I was trying to be female he still wore more makeup than me ;D )

This is a very interesting question. For me the answer is only a maybe. I don't want to sound hateful or anything, but I just have too many emotional problems to be with someone who has more than average stress and it wouldn't be fair to them. When someone loves me I love them 5 times as much back, but I need a good amount of attention. (Please don't think badly of me for this! I just really think it would be setting up a relationship for failure.)
