Funnily enough I enjoyed that episode. It's been going downhill for some time for me as I never was impressed with the female character for the doctor. Interestingly the only time when I really noticed the trans angle was with the bit with the Meep. The rest, I didn't really notice. This was maybe the first time they have introduced such controvertial characters and not pushed them to the extent of making me cringe with their political correctness. They even got someone in a wheelchair who was not pushed in your face. Can we hope that the 'non white' doctor will not be running an alternate crusade and just integrate?

I watched it with my son who is possibly transgender, it was certainly a good episode and introducing Rose was I thought done very well.

It actually lead to an enlightening conversation between us.

The whole thing seemed to give my son a boost I'm sure it did for others as well.

Excellent. I enjoyed watching Yasmin Finney in Heartstopper on Netflix. Dr. Who has always been progressive and adapted to issues of modern times. I read another article about conservatives complaining about Dr. Who being woke. But surprise surprise, Dr. Who has been "woke" for 60 years.
