Hello I was wondering if anyone on here is being seen at the martinsburg va med center, if so maybe you can give me a little insight on how to get started with introducing my inner self and navigate my way thru their system.

Have you first enrolled with that VA? Next step is getting PCP appointment and request a referral toa endocrinologist. You might have some counselling sessions. I had like three or four I can't remember. The endocrinologist is going to first talk to you about the steps and do a physical body examination. Next labs to check hormone levels and a few others. Later you get to discuss with your endocrinologist and go over the lab results. You might be able to start HRT or at least I was. It's important to know that things are going to take time. You won't feel better automatically. You might get the placebo effect when you get your estrogen. That part alone is a big step. Again, this is my experience with my VA which I'm thinking there's some standardization at all the VAs. Good luck and look forward to your future posts.
