Hi @Bdolfan1964! and Welcome!
As April said - You are not alone - and you will discover the more you explore.

Many of us here (me included) started with the well-being created by cross-dressing.  Whether a lifelong endeavor (or re-discovery), or something you just realized - it can be either the fulfillment you've been looking for, or just the first step in a longer journey destination.  Everybody's unique.

Regardless ... Happy you have joined us!

Welcome Dilly

Sometimes we find that it's more than crossdressing.

Thanks!  Are you a CD?

I’m new to cross dressing, and just really love the feeling.

Welcome, Dilly!! I think that what @Ivy was saying is that many of us who are trans found crossdressing as a way to physically express ourselves (male or female) early on before we gained an understanding of our real gender identities. I know that was the case for me. I assumed I was a CD - which is perfectly wonderful -  but found over time that dressing was just the bandage over top of the real issue and that I needed to find myself beyond the clothes. But, I still love the look of a pretty outfit and shoes. 🙂

We are so glad you found us. There is a wealth of information here and so many amazing people. Each of us is unique, yet we share much in common.

Jump in where you are comfortable.

Yeah, like April Marie said, I first "crossdressed" in my late 60's, and that was when my egg cracked.  It only took about a week for me to realize I was actually transgender.  I had been in denial - refusing to accept her - for most of my life.

But I realize that's not everyone's experience.

Thank you both for your comments!  I’m very new to this.  I’m only able to present female rarely, but get such a thrill and feel exhilarated every time I do.  I wish I could more often.  I feel like I’m female most of the time, but not sure that I could fully transition, although I do fantasize about it.

Late 60s for me too Ivy but prior to that moment I hadn't a notion of what was coming.Looking back I can see a lot of little things pointing in that direction.

Welcome Bdolfan and Dilly.I hope journey is kind to you

There were people that had suspicions.  But I was in denial, big time.

Now at age 53, I see a lot of threads winding their way through my whole life... didn't really see it as such along the way... now it makes more sense...

Breadcrumbs, breadcrumbs...

It seems like I'll be in denial forever, yet here I am.

I'm 61, I've always cross dressed since I was little but always in private,  no one knows of this, I thought I was over it when I met my current partner 12 years ago, I never done it or thought about it once, but this year I have got the bug back, big style,  I dress pretty much as a girl all the time when I'm on my own as I live on my own, not with my partner. I've even started to go out as a woman on my own to the shops, to the park and to the seaside. I'm beginning to think im gender Fluid as when I'm with my partner and my family I'm OK being a man but I can't wait to be a woman as soon as possible, so your not alone. Enjoy

Thank you, I'm still finding my way around this forum,  never done this before. I'm still a closet transgender woman and have no one close I can talk to it about, so just doing this is a bit of a relief. How do you post your story on the introduction page?
