Hi all! Just wanted to post a recent photo I took the other day. I was about to go out shopping.  Hope everyone likes it!

Beautiful, @Emily Rose!  Cobalt blues are striking and the hair is just lovely. Happy shopping!

Thank you Audrey!  You are lovely also! Compliments mean so much!😊 I'm so happy with everyone here and how nice they are. I've been told that blue is my color so, and I do love that top. Got it at Goodwill too. Such a great source. Have a great day!😊😊

May you have many happy shopping experiences!

I remember my very first authentic shopping experience, at Macy's Herald Square in Manhattan. I was determined to find a LBD, a timeless piece that every woman should have in her closet. My heart was set on something like the famous one that Audrey Hepburn wore in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." I did not pass as well back in 2021 as I do today, so I was pretty nervous about the whole thing. Fortunately, I had a friend along to help me through. Much to my surprise, and later joy, there were no funny looks, no snickers, no shunning - not from customers, and not from employees. I tried on a few dresses in the women's fitting room and knew right away when it was the right dress. I did not have the courage to wear it out of the store, but I found it hours later in a nearby restaurant. There was no looking back after that day!

Love,

~Audrey.

Thank you. That's sweet of you to say. While I love that wig, and it gave me the confidence to actually show myself, my hair has now grown to the length where I rarely wear the wig. I've gone au natural. 🙂

It must have been so much fun to get out and to feel accepted. I am so happy for you!!

What a great story Audrey! And what  must have been so fulfilling an  experience! I tell you there's nothing like that kind of validation! Being accepted for me is so important.  I love the feeling! And being checked out by men also thrills me! One of the more validating experiences for me! 🤩🤩 Love,Emily.

Yes April Marie it was and always thrills me as much as it did the first time! Being validated like that is the best. Oh you are so lucky to be able to wear your real hair. I'm so happy for you and any girl who can! More power to you! 😊😊 Wishing you the best, Emily

You look great Emily Rose and I'd say you pass very well in public. You look female all over so well done,

My preference for the colour blue as a male seems to be transitioning with me to my female identity. There is a lot of blue in the clothes I've bought so far!!t's largely in a floral setting though so not boyish blue at all I guess! Of course I'm buying pink as well along with the lighter colours that I wouldn't have worn as a male.

I would actually fear being checked out by a male.God forbid that he would try to chat me up.That would be a tricky situation to deal with!

Thank you Keera! It is nice to be able to transition what we liked as males to our female persona. After all isn't that the way it should be? We don't have to leave our likes behind....just transition them. I love it! More than once I've been checked out by men. And I think that my confidence showed through to them. So as I didn't feel threatened.  That made me feel so great! I love having doors held open for me too! Once a guy was behind me as I was leaving a store and I held open the door for him. After he said thank you I said your welcome in a slightly modified voice and he didn't even blink! So it can be done. Thank for your positive thoughts.  We all need them from each other!😊😊 Love, Emily.

Thank you April.  I strive for that! We all need to have that inner feeling. I believe it makes us stronger. Navigating this journey,  this walk we are on is so challenging.  Having others by our sides helps so much. My hope is that we all can have that!😊😊❤️

Good morning   well its big bike week this week American/Canadian made. Followed almost immediately with metric bike week.  And let’s not forget the Myrtle Beach Classic golf tournament last week.  Our business has been very busy. So much so I need to leave earlier to make certain I get my work done before I have too many people in the tpstore and can’t get it done.   Hi ho silver and away   Willow

I guess this was commonplace in females. But if your prostate gland is still in place this can contribute to urinal difficulties too.

https://www.hrw.org/news/2024/05/15/peru-chooses-bigotry-medical-services     The Health Ministry tried to put the best face on this unscientific gibberish of a decree, but it won't diminish the harm it will do to the Pervian trans community.  They undoubtedly already suffer from severe discrimination and bigotry in a very macho-opriented society.   Carolyn Marie

I'd never heard of it until reading this.  From the thread title I thought it had something to do with the state of Idaho.  But perhaps combined with something about Hobbits, which seemed odd.  My brain goes in weird directions.

I had my surgery 11 years ago, and yes, I too find it much more of an urgent thing than it ever was before.  One possible culprit is going to be T blockers if you are still on them, also the urethral sphincter which holds the pee back is closer to the urethral opening now and more subject to stimulation. When we gotta go we gotta goooooo!!

I notice that the Wikipedia article does not mention the U.S.A. which I can understand a bit.  The entire month of June here is Pride Month for all the organizations and is tied to the 1969 Stonewall Inn riots in New York and also our medical authorities are also not tied as thoroughly to the WHO as they are to the American Psychological and American Psychiatric Associations which write the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health which is generally in line with the WHO which does not play as big a part in our medical practices here.  The WHO does not impact us the way it does the other world countries which is why we are in the dark about the day.  Ironically though, one of the U.S. States is named Idaho which sadly is one of the most conservative and frustrating to the U.S. LGBTQ Community.   The day is international though in the sense of other European and Southern Hemisphere countries it seems.

Hmm. Must have been that pesky 'International' word which made me assume that it was well known! I only became aware of it myself last year.   Brief history: May 17th is the day IDAHOBIT is acknowledged as it is the anniversary of when in 1990 the World Health Organization declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder. It was conceived in 2004 and first celebrated in 2005. It has gone on to include trans folk in 2009 and bi folk in 2015.   International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia - Wikipedia

A year and a half post op. I've noticed that once the urge to pee hits, I can only hold it for about 15 minutes or so until it gets to the point where I feel like I'm going to piss myself. I used to be able to hold it a lot longer (as I  remember it).  I know my urethra is a bit shorter now, but I don't think it is enough to account for this. Am I imagining it?

What a great moment @Vidanjali! It's always so cool knowing people are reading you in a way you want to be seen.

It's also networking.  Sometimes jobs come along because someone knows someone else - these older people might know someone.  "Hey, Ashley," someone might say,"My nephew is looking for love. He likes tall women. Whatcha think? Can he call you?"   Don't discount their ability to match make.  It is about networking.

He is simply doing to get more votes. He held a Trump for trans during his first run and found out the majority of his voters were against us so he simply followed the crowd.

The sad part is I'm the third oldest member. One is in their 60's and the other is past 70's. I'm even older than the president lol. It's a younger crowd that's for sure. I like to come here to feel young again lol.
