I'm honestly really confused on this topic and would like to hear your views.

Not sure what you mean.  I'm AFAB, living in my boy form.  Definitely not a woman.  A couple of my friends are AMAB and living in girl form.  Can't exactly wrap my brain about being AFAB and trans female... explain?

Good evening Mars,

I’m a bit confused by your question. AFAB trans women?
Short answer is yes AFAB can be transgender nonbinary or transman.
You could also be intersex AFAB, be nonbinary or transman.

I have inherent issues with questioning whether any other person is "valid".  And I'm disappointed moderation doesn't share a similar outlook.

First we'd have to understand what was meant by the word before taking offense its use.  I'm thinking we're not all using language in the same way in this topic.  And at the moment, I don't see us getting closer to clarification.  🥴

AFAB --Assigned female sex at birth, and by social convention and most frequent use, defined as a girl by society.

AMAB -- Assigned male sex at birth and  by social convention and most frequent use, defined as a boy by society.

In neither of those scenarios is genetic Karyotyping done to determine actual chromosomal structure of the individual, and the assignments are made on the basis of what the commonly accepted genital structures seen by attending medical staff at the time of birth.  IE: if "outty" its a boy, If an "inny" it is a girl.  If the medical staff cannot be sure of what the genitalia are because they do not follow male or female stereotypes, then it is an Intersex person who is neither girl or boy based on the common wisdom.  No early life MRI to check on brain structure will be performed to see which conflated sex/gender the person may become.

We do not have a designation for AWKAB, -- Assigned Who Knows At Birth--  In the past parents and medical personnel have gotten together to assign such a person to one of the BIG TWO and shove the inconvenient AWKAB into a dark and often hidden past.

The trouble is that ALL of these people are validly human beings.  TRANS means "opposite of" as far as the Big Two gender/sex conflations  (AFAB, AMAB) so by logic an AFAB person cannot be a Trans Woman and AMAB cannot be a Trans Man.  Any of the three above though can be Non Binary which is the "opposite" of a Binary individual which is actually not binary at all, since there are Trans Female B and Trans Male B, so in one sense NB would really be NQ for Non Quaternary.  It is a quagmire to be sure.  I will not debate anyone's professed identity.
