I have a new friend and mentor in my life

I have a new friend and mentor in my life.Her name is Selena and we met last night.Selena is transgender like me,came out and started her transition last year.It was after the divorce was final she came out from knowing she was transgender for a long time.She has two sons whom are 15 and 17 that have adjusted to the changes and see she is happy.Had her FFS and trachea shave done in December.Like me,she is not going to have the GRS.So far she has encouraged me and knows what I am going through my transition.We plan on meeting up this weekend at her place.Selena is a 45 year old heavy equipment mechanic at a John Deere dealership,her coworkers and boss have been good to her.We are going to tell our stories and we both agree having no regrets.I am glad she is in my life.Cool thing is she has a great boyfriend that has been good to  her that she started dating.Told her I have one too,her boyfriend knows my boyfriend as well.Both are good friends and possibly a double date sometime.

I am glad she understands what I am going through.Selena,she is doing good with support from her friends and other family members.Never got to come out to her parents both passed away.Good thing is she has her younger sister in her life that has been supportive too.

That's a great thing to have such a friend and confidant.  I'm really happy for you, @Adrianna Danielle.  The young lady who was part of my transition team at work, and who later did Trans 101 training for my co-workers, became my good friend and was an invaluable resource.
