It has become a large thing with Andrea, and consequently, myself, to get more feminine clothes. Problems being, I have no cash. Two dollars. And if those two bucks could by me clothes- parents, another problem. So, I have formulated the best possible plan, and being completely undramatic, part of it might be life threatening.

Every year our entire neighborhood has a two day long yardsale, that is, every household havign their own yardsale, averaging about 30 yardsales. I should be all alone that day, and my plan is to ask for money from my parents to buy things, and then hopefully fins soem clothes. Andrea... feels quite...i don't know the exact words, but she only has 3 possible outfits, and they are all meant for older women, not new styles our age, or, even for more older women (liek in their thirties and forties), they are kind of boring. There have been a couple days where she didn't want to come out even, becuase she didn't want to wear what we have (or anythign mom has in her closet).

So, in shorter words, its become an imperative to get new clothes. My concern? Delaign with the people I'm buyign from. After all, imagine Joe sixpack's surprise when some kid is buyign all his daughters clothing? Or when a girl running the sale is there, an instance such as "Why are you interested in buying my old clothes?", would be hard to explain. also, lets say at the most i got 20 bucks from my parents (thats a lot of cash in yardsale world), and its all gone, and my parents see no hoards of junk? *sigh*

I really hope I could find a wig while shopping...that would be such a great find...

Anyhow, the real part that is dangerous. Around the same time, a large sale, like a bunch of people that put their junk together to sell in one unit, is over, and they have massive free stuff to give away. I remember I went there with my dad last year, we picked up some quality junk that was pretty useful. But, my god, there was quite a selection of female stuff, so much I would have just thrown it all in a bag and took it all home. It was a scavenger's heaven.

Problem for that is, I would have to travel at least a mile, maybe two, I would have to cross a VERY busy Route, where there is only little traffic at the dead of night, and, of course, nobody would know at all where I went to. I swear, in order to cross that, you have to stand, waiting for at least ten minutes for a brief break in cars, then sprint to the other side. There's no cross walk.

It's pretty dangerous. There are so many variables there that I don't know at all...

Well, I'm just wondering if you all have any advice.

You could try looking at the ads in your local paper, they list sizes and so on. That would be a more efficient method.

Another possibility would be to shop at second hand clothing stores, you can try on the clothes before you buy.

Yardsales are too hit and miss.

Good Luck with your shopping.

You need a "beard"- a girl who is your friend who can accompany you that you can say its all "for". Why is she buying these things at a yard sale? Her folks are real strict and she wants to get some stuff she likes.

As for explaining to your folks "where it all went" (**racks brain for the lie I would have told if I were still a teenager......) I would borrow some computer games from a friend (you really only need two or three) for "visual evidence" and then say "I bought some games". A) games are pretty expensive so even at a yard sale your parents (not being teens themselves and having little idea of what would be a reasonable price at yardsales) would buy that the 20 was taken up on that, and b ) most moms (your dad's interest would be something you are the one to gage) have no freakin interest in keeping up with your games, she isn't going to look for those titles later.

P.S. I loved the title of your thread :) the whole fighter pilot type image.

I have money i can spend on my own tomorrow, no questions from parents about it or anything. I can't really try your idea Evan, my dad would likely say 'Cool that game looks awesome I want to try it some time!"

I have no friends that are girls that would help, well, at least, that I know of that would help. Nobody I know in RL knows about Andrea. I am just going to hope that I will be able to buy things and hope that in a busy-ish day the owner will not have time to worry about a single person's purchase. I just am not currently sure what I would answer if somebody asked "Why are you buying that?". Well, I will have to go to sleep soon, I'm quite tired and should get up kinds early.

Ciao,

I like Rachael's idea - Goodwill stores or something like them. You can find some pretty nice stuff there, at

really inexpensive prices. I recall Ashlee saying a few weeks ago that she found a wedding dress that

fit her perfectly at a Goodwill store. You never know what you're gonna find (apologies to Forrest Gump).

So, I went shopping today, and I must say it was quite an experience.

I went around almost the entire neighborhood, and thats almost a full thirty houses. i had first come to a few places with good looking clothes, but i passed them up, saying in my head that I couldn't spend now when I didn't know what I could find later, but really the reason was I was nervous. And, this continued, when I got to a house that had a good amount of girls clothing, and a good amount of panties :o. I swear my heart skipped a beat (or seven) but i was too nervous. So i kept going.

When finally, this was the turning point. I got to a house that had a really great selection I thought. And I saw, in a huge pile of clothes, a strapless longwire (I think?) Bra. i have always seen pictures of those and always wanted one. So, after some hesitation, I took it, walked up to the guy and asked the price. He told me, I payed, asked how business was going, then left.

No sirens, no sudden stopping of everybody's browsing to turn and stare at me. just.... I bought the bra.

This exhilarated me, and I continued up the hill. I saw a few more places, both of them where clothes from girls my age, but there was no way they were my size. NO way. Not only are they tiny skinny girls, they liked to wear tight clothing. So yeah.

I get home, take the bra out of the package- dang I should have checked the size better. It was 32B, the smallest size I have is 36C. *sigh* Well, after much struggling, I decided it would actually be okay to put on if I could just get it hooked, but i did not have the steady fingers for that, nor the bra fillings for that smaller size. So, if I ever see strap extenders, I'll be sure to buy them. But, I knew it was time to get back out there.

So, I went back down all the way to the house with those panties and clothing I mentioned. I found some really nice sweatpants type pants (like sweatpants, but a softer material...kinda like pajama pants but intended for day wear) I also found this a long sleeve, tight fitting shirt, made out of some silky-like material, and it was so pretty, I don't know how to explain it...its just...wow...I'm really lucky to have it!

After that? Panties. Had to. 5 pairs, cotton briefs I believe. Made for somebody my age. I was so thrilled. It took that lady forever to get change, and then i seemed to have dropped a five dollar bill, or she was going to hand it to me and she forgot...the point is, I unfortunately lost five dollars.

Now I went back to the place where the I bought the bra, and after searching through the clothes pile again, found a really nice red dress, thin straps, really long, made out of a material thats like silk but more rough. Then I got a realyl nice skirt made out of 100% silk (unfortunately I have no top really that goes with it) and I believe, two, camisoles...might be wrong on that but I am quite sure I am right. Haggled a bit with the lady (a new person tending the sale, so it was no repeatedness with the other guy), she seemed friendly enough.

Finally, I make my way back up to my next door neighbors, we know them quite well. bought two books fro mthem...then 3 pairs of pantyhose. I told her what my items were worth, and she seemed liek she wanted to look at them to make sure, but I think she saw I had the pantyhose, and decided to just assume I was right. Or, it could have been my complete imagination. They had a nice dress for a dollar I also should have bought... oh well.

So, then I bought a computer set for a dollar. It seems nice, i still have to play around with it more.

Anyway, sos, I tried everything on.

Panties are a slightly bit tight, but its barely tight at all, just when putting them on. Except for three of the pairs, they seem larger and fit perfectly.

The red dress, tough to get on, BUT I REALIZED ITS MEANT TO BE TIGHT FITTING, it is one of those dresses that sticks close to a womans body, and it was just fine sticking to mine, and i could move around super freely in it.

The camisoles? I couldn't get them on, thought they are a perfectly good size. I can't get them over my shoulders when putting them on, well, I probably could if i tried more, which, I will.

The pants and the amazing long sleeve shirt? Pants fit perfectly, extremely comfy, the shirt I have to be careful putting on but it fits, and is meant to be tight and is just tight to the skin not to the body- perfect!

The pantyhose, were a dark red pair, a regular old brownish pair that had some type of band at the top like panties, ad then a dark brown one, nearly black, with the top being shiny/almost like a pair of panties.

Red one- Too small. Oh well, its only 10 cents lost.

Brown one- I have to be very careful when putting them on. But when I do, they are great, and the stitching on the front and the back makes it feel like I'm wearing a thong almost....I wonder if they meant to do that?

Dark ones- Really pretty. They fit fine, I just have to be careful putting them on.

So, overall? A great day. And now I want to lose weight. But, I doubt thats going to happen, I wouldn't' even know where to begin with that, especially since its only Andrea who is really concerned with it.. And, I got some nice things that will be really great! Oh, and I will need to make some smaller breast form type thing. Hopefully, I will be able to find something at the free stuff either Sunday or on... whenever the other sale I talked about was, which I still need more info and luck for.

Best wishes all,

~Andrea/Steve

Having been buying women's clothes for many years, I can say this... I have never been hassled in any way by any cashier about what I am buying. Without exception, they all simply ask cash or charge and if I have the store's card. Clothes are bought, bagged, I walk out of the store, no problem. I remember the first time I used one of my credit cards to buy clothes and later that day the credit card company called me inquiring if the recent charges were fraudulent (since they assumed my gender). I gladly replied no.. they were my charges! I have since purchased thousands of dollars worth of women's clothes on that same credit card. Guess what?.... no phone calls :D

Wow, what a great shopping excursion. Does everyone in your neighborhood have garage sales on the same day? lol

Congrats on a successful outing.

Thanks dear, and yes, they do every year, for two days, its some big thing they always do, and it attracts a lot of people!

Thats an interesting story there Brenda, though I'd, if I was a credit card person, would expect at first it was fro a wife or girlfriend or something like that, its really interesting and your input gives me even more confidence!

Dangittt i really want to dress badly right now, but since its the weekend, both parents are home x_x.

I didn't use makeup even in my girl form.  And certainly not now in my boy form.  I don't even like sunscreen...it just feels greasy.  I've always disliked putting stuff on myself.  Partly because of the physical feeling, and partly because I don't want to pretend to anybody.    My partners are mostly the same...makeup isn't really a thing for our faith.  But my GF and husband have one particular vanity - covering up gray hair.  IDK if I will feel differently when I start getting some of my own, eventually.

I'm ftm but I still wear makeup on occasion to cover up my rosacea. Just primer and sunscreen usually. Sometimes I'll fill in my eyebrows too

I have the Pierre by New York Toy Collective, I think I bought it from a different online store but it is that brand. The size recommendations will say that the four-inch shaft (the small Pierre) is for people 5' tall and under. I am 5'8" and it is fine for me. The larger (regular) Pierre shaft size is way too big to wear regularly, but it is a great packer to have around for gender affirming play at home. So even if you are taller than 5', if you aren't sure and you want something easy to wear, go with the small. It is a silicone packer.

Yes, resilient, for sure.  Ours were elementary/middle school age when their father died.  The girl took it really hard, losing her father.  My husband has been there as friend, counselor, and stepfather.  He was a dear friend of their father, and he has put in a lot of effort to raise them.  The eldest son is now his secretary, aide, and driver at work.   Since I'm young-ish and not their primary parent(s), I have the role of being an older friend to them.  They don't seem to have any issues with my gender.  I'm just Jen, and everybody knows that Jen is a little different.

If you're looking for a millennial female who might be interested, maybe contact Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez? Y'all might have some things in common, and I think she and her partner are doing the "childless" thing.      Interesting that your wife did concrete work.  My GF spent some time laying concrete for her own projects....while 6 months pregnant.   She's a very stubborn girl.  Probably the exact opposite of the millennial female you're looking for, since she's a mother of 5 (and wished she could have more.)  Interesting how folks can have similar origins, but come to opposite conclusions.  My GF grew up in dire poverty, stealing to eat and take care of her little sister.  As a young adult, she spent several years living in a commune, and was a member of an armed communist political movement.  Now she's probably the most fervent anti-leftist, anti-government person you could ever find.  Experiences really shape who we are.    The lesson I draw from this is that globalism is not the right solution, and even the USA is too large a nation for everybody to agree.  Time to downsize voluntarily, before a civil war does it for us.  Some folks suggest that the USA could become between 4 and 7 different nations.  The way the world is going, I suspect you'll get your "depopulation" wish....but it will come about through war, plagues, and famine.

I made apple pies, since we have apple trees here.  A classic, simple recipe, everything made from scratch.  We can make just about any kind of pie here - pecan, apple, pear, peach, blackberry....    I think the 6-burner stove came from an old diner.  So, technically a restaurant stove, just a small one.  It probably came from an auction, as my partner usually has an eye for deals.    This stove has 8 burners:   https://www.lowes.com/pd/FORNO-48-in-4-32-cu-ft-2-26-cu-ft-Steam-cleaning-Double-Oven-Convection-Gas-Range-Stainless-steel/1003096398?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-app-_-ggl-_-PLA_APP_186_Cooking-_-1003096398-_-online-_-0-_-0&ds_rl=1286890&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIj86BiPj3hQMVeTbUAR2m5wexEAQYASABEgI9tvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds   This one is the one I would love to have...it has 10:   https://www.lowes.com/pd/FORNO-Galiano-Gold-Professional-60-inch-Freestanding-Gas-Range/5013821825?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-app-_-ggl-_-PLA_APP_186_Cooking-_-5013821825-_-online-_-0-_-0&ds_rl=1286890&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIj86BiPj3hQMVeTbUAR2m5wexEAQYDSABEgIt__D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Not to bump this up or anything, but I just want to put one more note on the end of this...   Thank you for allowing me to post this here and thank you for all who have responded.  This step has been a huge help to me on my political journey.  I've made several key decisions in the last few days that allow me to run a better campaign for the next 4 years.  I worked my way off of the streets 20 years ago by writing math and computer programming on paper.  10 years later I was able to buy a house with the software engineering work that I was doing.  Now 20 years after getting off of the streets and having two failed bids for US Representative and likely another failed bid in the next couple weeks, I've come to the point of selling my house to run a very frugal campaign for vice-president (it's a thing even though it is an appointed position) for the next 4 years, all on the money I have earned from that work I did on the streets.   My policy going forward is that I'm not going to ask for money and I'm not going to ask for people's votes.  The vice-presidency is an appointed position.  I'm also not going to run for legislative offices anymore.  I'm simply going to tour the country on my own dime looking for good people and a strong millennial female who sees my logic and would like to be president.   I have reached out to tens of thousands of people on my own dime in the last 7 years.  Famous people, ultra-famous people, business leaders, civil engineers, random people, news people, educators, unions, politicians.  I certainly got less than 5 emails from those efforts.  Actually, I only really remember one person.  He is an educator and we had a good Zoom meeting.   I'm not bitter.  I'm not complaining.  Those of you who have followed me on this site know I like to keep things positive and talk about cooking and living healthy.  I hope that this post doesn't get buried.  I think the title is strong and my message is clear.  I don't want to bog this site down with the details of the whole thing.  I simply want people to know that there is a transwoman working to be vice-president.  Notice that I didn't title this a-transwoman-as-us-respresentative.  My politics are executive level.  I'm a whistleblower, not a complainer.  I aim to educate and inspire.

Society is preserved by passing on proper roles for people, which works for the 90+ percent that it works for.   We were all taught from an early age that breaking out of the classification was a shameful thing, even when, actually, it is not.

I've seen this on a lot of forums tbh. That's how a lot of content ends up on internet archives. You've got loads of bots scanning the site at all times and archiving it. Forums are actually nice (in comparison to social media) in that the guest count gives you a pretty good idea of how actively the site's content is being archived. Basically just don't post anything you don't want archived.
