Do not Despair

Young one, why are you crying? Is it that you're trapped?

Are you really? Or are you waiting?

You have a gift, at least I'd say. You are troubled, but that will go away.

Those who are troubled, but given a light, nurture and cherish it, it doesn't leave their sight.

Those who have never seen trouble, take that light, and they take it for granted.

They are the ones who are not brought joy from the light, because they haven't seen darkness, they haven't seen night.

So do not cry, young one. Instead, look ahead,

To the joy of the light, the bright shining sun.

For soon, little one, it will be day.

I see so much angst with our young people. They are starting a journey so many of us have been on for a lifetime, but their prospects are so much brighter. I wish everyone good fortune and more importantly, continued sanity, on their journey.

This poem says that same thing, wery well.

I keep a positive outlook because happiness is one of the two best feelings I've ever felt, as well as being the easiest to achieve of the two ^^
