Excuses For Leg Shaveing.

I'm a bit like Megan except that my hair is a very light blonde and

was hardly noticed before I started shaving my legs. After that I

simply began shaving my chest and underarms. I also keep my

arm hair trimmed to appear more feminine.

This was about two years ago and, as it often is for those of us

older folk, I simply don't have to shave my legs anymore at all.

Aging and genetics have their positive side!

I have shaved my legs about five years now and, I love it.The most fem feeling.I think one more thing to help me pass. I wear shorts at work and people have noticed, made snide little remarks. If one pursues it ,I'll tell them I have a skin disorder and read on the internet shaving helps prevent the problem. Don't know if its true but I have nothing to loose by shaving.

I went from being hairy all over to being smooth all over almost a year ago and to date, no one has noticed. Once I did it I started checking out other men's legs more and many have little or no hair. It's not that unusual.

Also I don't know if you have seen the ads from a razor company that now has a blade specifically designed for shaving men's body hair. If you were the only one doing it do you think they would have a market big enough target a product for?

If you need an excuse (which you don't, it is none of their business) but swimmers, bikers, and body builders are among some of the athletes who often shave their bodies. Pick on and say you are getting into it or just say the ladies prefer it. ;-)

I think I am just crass enough that if someone gave me that trash, I would openly question them about why they are staring at my legs and ask them if it is related to a closet fetish they may have. Give them back the embarrassment. Giggle. This risky tongue in cheek solution does not come with a warranty expressed or implied. :doh1: Just thinking out loud. Hug. JodyAnn

ONE person asked me this, I told them that I didn't like the way my sweat smelled and dont want to wear deodorant.

You smell alot better with no body hair.

Cyclists do it to reduce wind resistance and to reduce rubbing on the legs. Great excuse, if you need one. I have a mild skin condition that has stripped the hair from the outer parts of my lower legs, so that would be a good excuse. I just don't go out, so there wouldn't be much point in doing it.

Hi,

If asked, and I don't think I ever was, I was going to use the truth. " I don't like hairy legs". Plain and simple and no need to elaborate.

I agree with the others. The best reason is because you want to. That's what I tell people when they ask me. I think if more men tried it and realized how good it felt, more would do it. It's one of those ridiculous outdated social standards, that only women shave their legs. If you want to do it, do it. If for no other reason than you want to. Just my humble opinion.

I started shaving my groin area a long time ago, on and off, and now full time because the wife likes it as much as I do. Since no one is likely to see it, no problem.

I began shaving my chest a couple months ago and I asked my wife, how do I explain this. She had a great idea, I have this medication that I have to rub onto my chest everyday. If anyone asks, I tell them that the medication seems to work better on the bare skin.

I've thought about the legs and pits, but the wife was a bit uncomfortable with that, at least at this point. She's being real awesome with all this, so one step at a time. However, I like 'excuses' for the legs.

Me? frankly, if I ever 'noticed' it on someone else, I'd likely never say anything as it's none of my business, but that's just me...
