Yes I thought it was good. The capitol was exactly how I imagined it, and I think they did a good job of being faithful to the book while making exceptions to satisfy a manageable run-time (Though it's still really long).

I didn't read the book, but I did like the movie. Not great, but pretty good. Very predictable plot, unfortunately, and too much like "The Truman Show."

I was truly disappointed with the movie. It really felt like they went out of their way to appease the ratings people so that it could get a PG-13 rating in order to get the teenie-bopper crowd. In practice, this makes good business sense. But I must say, I felt terribly let down by the piece. Maybe I'm just odd (well, I know I am) but the book just felt so much darker to me.

I loved the first book and the second, but skipped most of the third book. The movie was fantastic. I thought they did everything great to match to the book. I don't know why it is though I didn't like the casting for Gale. Woody Harrelson was perfect as Haymich.
