Recommended Posts

Hi my mum has took me shopping for clothes for a few times now and she said she would she would but me some make up. So what i am asking is what make up should I get? Also i am 14 so what would be best suited for my age.

You are young dear so you probably don't need much makeup. Try not to overdue anything. Your mom may be your best guide and critic as well. I know mom's who make there your daughters was up before going out. Do you have any cis girlfriends? Many young women develop an understanding of makeup through relationships with other girls of their age. As an 'older" woman i have much different problems of complexion etc. Most of all try things at home and be prepared for a learning curve. It is fun to develop a style of your own.

Charlie

At fourteen, your biggest item at the cosmetics counter will actually be skin care products in general. There are concealers for blemishes that comes with the teen years. This will have a tiny bit of foundation color in it that will even out your complexion, but not hide your skin like the older stuff does. Have mom take you to a store where there is a make up demonstration counter, and have the sales person try a number of things on you. That is fun, and they have fun too.

I agree with Vicky your best bet will be to pick up on what the other girls your age are doing, and figure out what styles you like. Going to the makeup counter is also great advice I recently had the girls in Sephora match some foundation to my skintone and I'm suuuper happy with what I ended up with as a result. They are usually really really helpful if you go to a boutique that specializes in cosmetics, Ive pretty much got my everyday look down but I still go in and experiment with different eyeliners and lipsticks and such to find out what I do and don't like. So really just experiment and have fun with it. :)

Hugs,

Sarah

Definitely get a makeover at Sephora.

You'll want to start with the basics: Foundation, powder, blush, bronzer, a simple palette of eye shadow that goes with your eye color, a couple shades of not-clown-red lipstick, basic mascara, etc.:lol:

When I first started playing with makeup I bought a cheap ELF palette with like 30 colors of shadow, 6 blushes/bronzers, and some lipstick in pots. I bought a set of brushes from Amazon and every day when I got home from work I'd try a new color combination to see what it looked like. I'd recommend doing the same or similar. Practice makes perfect! B)

I just feel like i am crazy... i keep doubting myself constently. I think i am trans, but everyone says no.  Maybe i am just confused and lost in a sea of raw emotions.  I keep feeling like i am trans, but i dont honestly know anymore. Maybe i am just confused myself, or just delusional.   Maybe i should just stop and expect me beginning so uncomfortable in my own skin.    Sorry for the vent. I just feel like it the only place i can express myself, i guess.   Thanks for reading. Sorry for the vent.

Thanks Vicky,  I know I have a long way to go, just started this a few weeks ago. I am just so damn happy that it came together as well as it did. Far from perfect, but that’s just me. It’s amazing the amount of relief and happiness I’m feeling right now. And the wife seems to approve so that helps. 😁😁😁

      Hi! and Welcome!

A word of hope and dread, I began my Transition 20 years ago as a CD, which lasted 12 years, and FULL TIME with all the the work 8 years ago, and I am still not finished.  Don't worry about it though, you are living your truth and that is the most important.  A happy, friendly attitude with people will more than offset any little defects we have, but that is the same for all our life.

For the first time I actually put everything together. From the gaff and false boobies 😁 to all the makeup. I’ve got to be honest I saw  my body profile and almost cried. Still need more practice with the makeup but it wasn’t to bad for my first attempt. Also need to grow my hair more or get a wig.

Gooseberries grow best up north.  In fact, a bush won't grow berries, if it there wasn't at least one hard freeze over the winter time.

Ive never heard of Gooseberries, I must try them now.

Eeeek, Nettle in the nethers! No bueno!   One thing men and women have in common, is they both have need to squat then #2 is involved.

We have heat, and a wide variation. all within a 20min drive. =). In the winter, you can play at the beach, drive 20-30 mins inland and play in the snow =).

Ace of Base did a cover of Bananarama's song "Cruel Summer." in 1998. The Original song from Bananarama came out in 1984, which dates me back to 18yrs old when it was in the "Karate Kid." Lots of nostalgia for me .

That sounds so perfect I bet you could make a lot of nice desserts with all the fresh fruit!

Except for the sun it sounds good over there. Here we live with a wide variation, but I like the heat better than most. I'm loving it here at the moment picking Loganberries directly off the bush as a snack between meals lol. The redcurrents are at their prime too! A short while ago it was Gooseberries and soon be time for doing the same with blackberries. I love to pick things direct rather than buying at the supermarket.   Tracy
