Well... I'm just going to state the obvious. Practice. I know it not be much but to save money and time, especially for the lesson coming up it's best to practice. The next lesson that's coming up is only for 3 days and I suggest you use that time wisely now to do what you can do and ask questions there later, therefore benefiting more from it. Even I'm back to practicing to make sure I'm perfect, especially because I have no vocal coach.

Use this-http://www.lauras-playground.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4765

-Try doing the Falsetto (Mickey Mouse)

-Try puttiing your tongue on upper back teeth

-Try sighing

-Try EVERYTHING

-If you need help just post a question on the topic.

-And of course take a break 2-3 days before doing the lesson starting on the 08/20. Soooo... 08/17.

What if i don't have an adam's apple how do i check and press on it ?

And since one of the Youtubers i hired is a great voice actor we just voice act different gaming characters, so instead of Mickey Mouse we would do something like Evelyn or Ahri from League of Legends

Other then that i will try using these tips >.> But really no adam's apple here what to do

Everyone has an Adam's apple, some are just not as pronounced. Good tips though, tho for smokers, just stop. Same with milk and or dairy products, they cause a thickening of mucous prior to speech so it comes out differently. Drink water before.

You don't need an Adam's apple. It just helps you a little. Did you try sticking your tongue on the roof of your mouth behind your top teeth?

Is their a problem with me asking a question to better understand how a certain tip helps improve my speech?? I think not!! Guess asking questions comes natural me being a reserve sherif's deputy. If i want to ask how a certain procedure fits into the process, I will ask, anyone doesn't like it, come talk to me.

What is the point of sticking your tounge at the roof of ur mouth?

Don't trust me on this, but from what I can feel when I do this, that produces a similar effect to raising your voice box. Shortening the distance from the voice box to the mouth is often key to having a female sounding voice. You don't want to be sticking your tongue to the roof of your mouth while speaking ( :P ), but you will want to try to raise your voice box. Sticking your tongue there will give you an idea of which muscles to use to do this and how it should feel.

Again, I don't know for certain, so I might be just spreading a bunch of ... stuff.

Ok, please chill, it's like Newton's third law. The response you give is merited an equal response. You asked in a snarky tone and got one back. I only mention it because the OP is actually offering tips to help people. Google often helps with any questions we might have. The tongue trick is helpful in gaining a certain tone, not only that, it helps the muscles adapt, like in odd situations such as if some how you are forced to talk with your mouth full of food, or louder tones, whatever kind of scenario. We can't always rely on having just one way, if we cough and have to adjust, if we sneeze etc. There are so many variables when it comes to getting that female voice.

OK, enough of that. The Moderators can judge what is over the line and what isn't. Thank you both.

I would find it interesting that such a post of mine was misconstrued as trying to do anyone's job. Frankly I find trying to find work and keeping up a feminine appearance work enough. I am not sure how anyone finds time to do both. I certainly find such time management frustrating, but that is just me. Inspirational! I keep being inspired by the posts here everyday! :D

If you do this, you get a very similar feeling to talkin like a girl. When you do this your pitch gets higher and sometimes if your lucky you'll get your girl voice almost right away. I found this out when I was trying to teach someone who couldn't do falsetto. So i thought... How am I going to make this work? As soon as I did my falsetto I found out my tongue was kinda reaching the top of my mouth. After I told her about it she found her voice straight away.

Ya I think so. O.o Something about muscles and feelings. This sounds about right about right. But yes. I would say stick tongue to roof of mouth and behind teeth. Talk and record. See what you need to fix. THEN on the 20th ask her if what your doing is sounding right. Even I and everyone else seems to think I sound like a girl. BUT to be exactly perfect, there are still stuff that probably needs to be improved that I don't know about.

You don't do that permanently. O.o Let go. Put your tongue back in position. Stop thinking about your tongue so much and focus on your neck/throat. XD If you noticed your neck/changed position or is a bit strained. If it isn't your not pushing hard enough.

You are spot on here ... but also it seems like such a rigged game for the average person that it's hard to invest energy into the political arena -- too much big money controlling too many people/organizations/narratives for the common person to fee; heard...   In general, why we in America accept either candidate is baffling... for all our innovation as a nation, we can't do better than these two bozos?    The problem is, the political arena is such a sham -- again with large money controlling all aspects of the system -- that a common-sense, love-your-neighbor, make-reasonable-compromises, roll-up-your-sleeves-and-get-to-work candidate will never make it anywhere above the local level (if even there)...    Everything is a reality show, and boring ol' decision makers that try to benefit the most people don't generate enough clicks, views and retweets...  I am not sure it is so much about celebrity as it is about party politics at all costs - "my side must always be viewed as right and your side must always be viewed as wrong!" kind of thinking... there is no consensus building anymore because that will get used against you in campaign ads... When Obama took office and then Hilary ran again, it was like all Republicans want to do was to find someone loud enough to put them in their place. Forget issues, forget character, just win a debate and rally the base.    To get back to your original point, not enough of us care about politics ... and in some ways we've become fat, happy and entitled as a nation. The yearning to achieve the "American dream", which drove my parents and their parents before them to work their tails off and sacrifice and save, is now just "give me the American dream for free while I sit here on my phone and watch tiktok..."

I am about 5 weeks ahead of you ... best wishes to you! For me it has been subtle changes at most so far (if any) ... but I am also on the "beginner's" level of patch, lol ...    Easy

Oh, another comment.   I am a conservative evangelical with strong Republican leanings. So is my wife, my friends, my family. I disagree with a good amount of what the Republicans are doing, but there it is.  I understand the mindset, I think, a lot better than those who are outside it do.   When you insult Republicans you insult me, my friends, my family.   People like me can struggle with trans issues.   Please consider that in posting.

      Then you are in despair.

I found this as well. No playacting, they just appear: the finger waggle wave; bracing my elbow on my other arm that's folded across my chest, wrist in the air half-cocked; walking a bit more fiercely... All that. My wife thought I was mocking her at one point!

I find my lack of time to read the thing frustrating, and I will not really comment until I have read it.  This is a wholly inadequate response.   1.  I think there are some legitimate concern.   2. Thoroughly discussing this will consume many threads.   3. I disagree partially with @MaeBe but there is partial agreement.   4. The context includes what is happening in society that the authors are observing.  It is not an isolated document.   5. Trump, if elected, is as likely to spend his energies going after political opponents as he is to implementing something like this.    6. I reject critical theory, which is based on Marxism.  Marxism has never worked and never will.  Critical theory has problems which would need time to go into, which I do not have.   7. There are groups who have declared war on the nuclear family as problematically patriarchal, and a lot of other terms. They are easy to find on the internet.  This document is reacting to that (see #4 above).   8.  Much of this would have to be legislated, and this is a policy documented.  Implementation would  be most likely different, but that does not mean criticism is unwarranted.

Sort of bracing myself for flipping, because I am wearing f and of course I wear f and it is natural to wear f and what else would I wear?  The  novelty is long gone out on this.  I wore a bra most of yesterday but we had a Zoom call and I took the bra off because I was concerned about the straps showing.  I missed it.    My body is saying "I am female!  Treat me that way!"   In the past it has screamed about this activity that  I have done to it.

This is what I'm scared of.  And it's quite possible. Apparently Chicken Little was right.

Finally I  am back online   I had to use the help of the contact form (not proud  of that, I always feel embarrassed and shy about contacting people), but here I am   missed all of you
    • atlantis63
I'm not happy to admit this, but I usually scream or break things.   Breaking things became a bit of a no no, because It was always a cd or something I liked and it got very expensive to replace stuff

Probably amusement parks. I've never been to one sadly, but I think I could talk for an hour about them without any problem
