I saved the world today and conflicting feelings

I love Eurythmics's "I saved the world today". it soothes me and I love the lyrics because the song is sad in tone but the lyrics are not really sad, quite positive in fact. When I ear this song I think about the fact that the last 2 years have been the best for me but I triggered "mournings" for many of my loved ones (mourning of the man I was). Sometimes it does feel sad, like a sad song is playing and I'm like "the bad things gone away, the good thing's here to stay, yay!!" lol

That's the thing about transition. Some aspects of the old life is gone and the new one is beckoning. It's also the uncertainty of what lies ahead. I'm sure that you are happy where you are at the moment.

I know that feeling of mourning the man lost. He was a decent guy (once he was sober). I do remember that he is still inside me. I'm a mixture and certainly carry a great deal of him in my activities and personality.
