Anyone else excited for Bumblebee?

Ever since I was young, I loved the Transformers cartoons and toys. I remember watching Armada and Cybertron when I got home from school (I don't remember Energon and in all honesty, I'm glad I don't).

 

When I heard they were making a live action transformers movie that was going to be faithful to the original cartoon from the 80's, I was cautious but excited. After seeing the trailers and reading the reviews, I'm convinced that I absolutely need to see this movie.

 

I only hope the decepticons aren't just there to die and the story actually makes coherent sense for once.

They were a bit after my time as my son played with those toys. I found them very interesting mechanically, but must admit I preferred his Turtles and Power Rangers, as well as those programs.

The original animated movie was a staple - even the power ballad was fantastic!  The films have been okay so far but just not as enjoyable as the older cartoons for me. I atch them all though, because I'm an optimist at heart!   https://youtu.be/A52--FKUQgU

OK, it turns out that Bumblebee is hands down the best recent Transformers film, obviously made by a fan.  It even had a few nods for us folk that liked the original, and my kids loved it too!

I’m nostalgic about 80’s cartoons and thing like transformers or voltron were constantly on even with the girls. I’m so tempted to get the t-shirt from Walmart because it has a rainbow on it ?. My little pony was also a favorite show. (Care Bears etc)

 

Ok, getting sidetracked, is bumblebee in theaters? This is the first I’ve heard of it.
