Ok I know there are a wide range of girl styles. I'm curious where in this spectrum you place yourself.

For reference I place myself in the tom-boy, gamer girl category. But I do have my girlie moments ;)

Someone might be a girlie girl idk.

So where do you fall?

^^/

(This is not a poll so as not to forget anyone)

Oh my, that is so hard to decide. When it comes to things like shopping or what to wear, I tend to go girly. But I do like video games still as Andrea... Hm, so, I guess, girly, with some non-girly hobbies ;)

I place myself smack dab in the tom boy group, i like wearing capris a nice blouse and a pair of Reeboks or sandles, working in the yard or garden i will wear a pair of shorts, a tank top and an old pair if his New Balance just so i do not ruin my Reeboks.

To be fair and impartial, I would have to go with what my female friends (who know nothing of my ancient medical history) tell me: definitely the all-round woman, from sweet, to mischievous, to little-girly, to passionate, too motherly, to The Dragon Lady.

Who'd'a thunk so many women would admire this ol' country gal.

I swing between genders and fit comfortably in the outdoor sports world and as a fem into the fashion doesn't mean anything it is how the clothes make you feel world,,,,,

*high five* I swear I think we are twins. Although I would add sci-fi chick to that list as well. From Stargate to PS3, a geeky girl is the way to be! Woot woot! ;)

Ok, maybe I understated myself.

I am deeper into the tom-boy land and gamer's land. I geeked out the other day when I got my dungeons and dragons 4th edition book set and dungeon master screen. Yeah I understated myself a bit. Um BTW I am making a few thank you video for LP. Check out the other topic I am making for details.

I'm kind of weird I guess, lol. I'm a very analytical person (I love mathematics, science, and strategic things in general) and at the same time I can be very abstract and artsy (love drawing, painting, singing). I guess a lot of people would consider the kind of girl who likes math and science sort of tom-boyish, but I don't see why that should be the case. I also enjoy playing video games every now and then, especially in the sense that you can be someone else and escape reality for a short while. Reading does a good job of providing the same effect. All the same, I would consider myself a girly girl in my choice of appearance (I love to appear super feminine). But in terms of activities, I'm in some gray area.

That was a bit long winded :P. So in short, girly girl with maybe "less than girly" inclinations. Whatever, I'm just me :D.

I am sort of an old fashioned lady who dresses more for comfort these days and is out to prove that testosterone has nothing whatsever to do with screaming high notes on a trumpet! :D

Love ya,

oh I'm by far a major girly girl. I'm the princess in this house by far. However, I wish I could pull off the dark gothic look, but I just don't think I could do it.

I am about as girly girl as one of us can get without wearing dresses and heels all the time.

But a very feminine woman with a steel backbone that takes no guff from man or woman.

Someone on another group pointed out how many of us that were formerly hyper masculine,

turn out to be so feminine. While the ones given heck for being femme in their old life, turn

out to be tomboys.I don't know how true this is,but it sure makes one think.

Hi Jannelle

I am definitely the computer geek type (not the gamer type, I build them, repair them that sort of thing) but I am very girly inside I love to wear silk and satin, it feels so nice and definitely lean towards my feminine side in my mind.

wel i used to think of myself as a tomboy gamer girl. but i kinda lost interest in games, I do still play them from time to time, but after an hour I'm tired of it already...

and the tomboy thing, well i dress rather androgynous (mostly because it's easier than suddenly dressing really girly) and am not that fond of make-up, but beside that I'm rather feminin

so I'm not sure what I am :P

I'm not a girly-girl, I just like to be me! If that means a dress and heels, so be it!

Usually, I just like jeans or capri's with a blouse or tank top. Just a touch of makeup - but I love my accessories! :)

My clothing is pretty girlie, but other than that I'm not much of a girlie girl.

I play video games, watch some UFC, and do tech support for my people, all in a dress no less.

Can't really think of one definitive way to describe myself, though. I'm girlie, geeky, and a bit "sporty" all at the same time.

Every since White Wolf came out with Vampire TM, Gaming has been nearly 50-50 male/female ratio.... Almost every gamer group I've been in has been abot half girls, to slightly more girls to slightly more boys. Out here in Taiwan, though, my group only has one other girl, sometimes two or three, but they were just temporary guests... which is weird and oh-so old-fashioned

Thank you, I'm glad to be here. :)   I have been in therapy for 9 years but still can't seem to accept myself. I think it has to do with growing up trans in a world that hates us, especially in the south. I mean I was discriminated against by adults and ostracized as a kid/teen due to being trans. My family is accepting, but the rest of the world is not. I realize now a lot of people are accepting (even unexpectedly, like my partner's conservative republican Trump-loving parents lol), but it feels like my brain is still in survival mode every time I exit the door. I am a very fearful person.   My body still may change over time, but it feels like I haven't met the same 'quota' (don't know the right word) that a majority of other trans guys have on far less time on T. Most trans guys pass easily 1-3yrs on T, I'm double that and still don't pass well except my voice.

Thank you. I am just used to seeing trans guys who pass at like... 6 months to 1 year, at the most 3 years. And I just don't meet the mark, all the way at 6 years. It is possible with time I will masculinize more, but it's frustrating when I'm "behind" and may never catch up. It threatens my mental health mostly, possibly my physical health if I'm visibly trans (though I don't ever go out alone).

Boss is happy with everything with me and said I will be the only one that works on one customer's truck. This customer saw me clean a small grease spot in the inter of his Kenworh last week,on the steering wheel.A new customer too,saw me walk out with my tub o' towels wiping that grease stain off. This one,he cannot stand a grease spot in the interior.

Yeah, I am grieving the man I "should" have been. He will never exist, especially not in my youth. But I don't know how to healthily go about it instead of fixating on the life that could have been.

Going to the conventions has been one of my ways to deal with this stuff.

Sorry it took me a while to respond!    I would like to get to know you. :) I only have mental disabilities. Schizoaffective disorder, depression, and anxiety. The last two are severe and very treatment-resistant. I did have physical problems for some time, but it was caused by an antipsychotic medication (Invega). It basically crippled me, muscle weakness/fatigue, basically could barely walk (used mobility devices) and doctors were useless since they didn't suspect the medication I was on! I've finally ditched antipsychotics (hopefully for good, unless my symptoms come back). I usually don't share like this, especially in person, but hey, I'm anonymous. :)   I'm not expecting reciprocation at all btw, these things are personal. There is more to us than disabilities, so tell me about yourself if you still wanna talk!

thanks for the insight ... good to know things are being well thought-out ... it is no easy topic for sure, as many of us on here have been wrestling with this stuff for years and decades...

@KymmieLWOW! He is absolutely horrible! Definitely one of the worst boss's.
    • KymmieL
Well the boss is at it again. They misplaced a work order thinking I was the last one who had it, yesterday morning. I know where it is. Last thing I did with it was put it back on the counter. He accused me a couple times of having it last and put it somewhere. Come to find out, the other boss (his wife) had taken it. she put the work order paper in the recycle box.   Has he apologized about the accusations. He!! no. I am waiting for hadies to get frost bit.   So that was my morning.  But it is finally warming up here. currently 63 and windy.   Hugs, Kymmie

I am gender fluid, leaning heavily towards trans masc. My eldest is male and despite all the "stuff" we deal with with him (autism, speech delay, etc) I found him to be easy to raise. When my middle kid (female) was born, literally the first words out of my mouth were "I don't know how to raise a girl!" And I really felt I didn't know. She showed me. She's still showing me how to exist as comfortable and completely secure in her gender expression. It is entirely awe inspiring to see all three of them feel so settled in their bodies in ways that I never, ever felt or feel to this day.
    • Ashley0616
That sounded like an awesome opportunity to dress as your actual self. I have to say I'm a little jealous lol. I never got compliments from people and definitely haven't been kissed. I can imagine that part was still really nice and boosted your confidence.

Welcome what kind of gaming do you like?

I've been absent so much lately I feel as if I'll never catch up. Too much going on in our lives that's kept me away from the keyboard. and limited my time as "me."   I am so looking forward to your post on how you arrange your life. I know that I won't ever be able to fully transition so finding some happy balance is crucial for me.

Mae, you are so sweet for making this comment.   Desert Fox, you are so right.  I always knew that even though I was part-time, my motivation was way more complicated than a simple desire to wear women's clothes.   Your question is a timely one because in my next post, I am going to talk about how compartmentalized my life is, and the short answer is yes.  I have friends who only know Sally, friends who only my male persona, and a rare few that know both.
