Hmm, I'm not sure how I'd describe myself, but I guess I'm just a regular geeky/dorky girl :P I have a small amount of frilly lil skirt, non elaborate tops and dark rimmed glasses. Like bad movies, a lil anime, comics, and other stuff in that realm. So yeah *shrug* there ya have it ^_^

I'm not actually girly at all, but like to camouflage my age with girly outfits, a wig and make-up. To dress up from head to toe requires plenty of free time alone, so sometimes when I only have a short time I'll put tights and a kilt/skirt on, which gives me the required buzz, but can be removed without trace very quickly

I am about as girly girl as one of us can get without wearing dresses and heels all the time.

But a very feminine woman with a steel backbone that takes no guff from man or woman.

Someone on another group pointed out how many of us that were formerly hyper masculine,

turn out to be so feminine. While the ones given heck for being femme in their old life, turn

out to be tomboys.I don't know how true this is,but it sure makes one think.

Hugs,

Angie

I'm a femme. Was as a boy, was as a girl, am as a woman. Sounds so plain among such colorful sisters.

I'm kind of weird I guess, lol. I'm a very analytical person (I love mathematics, science, and strategic things in general) and at the same time I can be very abstract and artsy (love drawing, painting, singing). I guess a lot of people would consider the kind of girl who likes math and science sort of tom-boyish, but I don't see why that should be the case. I also enjoy playing video games every now and then, especially in the sense that you can be someone else and escape reality for a short while. Reading does a good job of providing the same effect. All the same, I would consider myself a girly girl in my choice of appearance (I love to appear super feminine). But in terms of activities, I'm in some gray area.

That was a bit long winded :P. So in short, girly girl with maybe "less than girly" inclinations. Whatever, I'm just me :D.

Thanks a lot! You just said a cunch of stuff I was about to and saved me a ton of typing! Haha.

I'd like to make a few clarifications though:

As far as being girly in my appearance, that only applies when I'm by myself as only one person knows that I'm trans.

Also (except for my VERY rebellious streak) my personality is pretty submissive (I know, it contradicts, but when you get to know me it makes sense :) ) which I guess could be considered girly. (I LOVE the idea of being a rebel girl, too! It's SOooo much fun! ;) )

I also LOVE hugs, ooh and shiny things!

I am most definitely a girly girl. Even my partner has told me this on a number of occasions. I'm the kind of girl that almost always wears skirts or dresses and high heels until the weather just gets too cold to have my legs exposed. I can't stand to be without a manicure and polish on my finger and toe nails.

The only time I go out of the house without makeup is to mow the lawn or wash my car. Period!

I don't like to play video games and would rather use my time to shop.

I'm a gamer girl, into sports who has a very girly aesthetic when it comes to clothing (though working in a hot kitchen leaves me dressing all boyish, yuck!) I like movies for their own sake, so I'm completely gender neutral when it comes to them. I cry at the drop of a hat over, well, the drop of a hat. I'm a hopeless romantic, but honestly I've known enough really butch straight boys that were that way too, so I don't know how that factors in.

Every since White Wolf came out with Vampire TM, Gaming has been nearly 50-50 male/female ratio.... Almost every gamer group I've been in has been abot half girls, to slightly more girls to slightly more boys. Out here in Taiwan, though, my group only has one other girl, sometimes two or three, but they were just temporary guests... which is weird and oh-so old-fashioned

Okay, I've said this elsewhere, but me too! Me too! Most groups I've been in have been mostly male. My characters I base entirely on what I think of as a good concept. When I first came out, I tried to always play female characters, but felt silly since I never had a problem playing either/or before.

I like to think of myself as a "mysterious and volatile" girl, but I guess I'm really just kind of average, in between uber-girlie and tom-boy. Perhaps a mix of the two.

Pretty much girly-girl.... with one or two semi-exceptions. I like to run, and while there are a lot of girls who run, it's not really always thought of as a girl-sport. I like to snow-board rather than ski, and that's more male too. But by-and-large, I'm pretty all girly.

Gosh, missed Monday again.   Did you know that Producer Keith Oslen was distraught because the duo his recorded Buckingham-Nicks first album went nowhere? In walked Mick Fleetwood also distraught because once again Flleetwood Mac lost a guitarist in Bob Welsh and he was at least going studio shopping and came to Sound City in LA because he'd heard the drum sound they got there was incredible. He asked Oslen to play something recorded there. Olsen played some of Buckingham-Nicks and Fleetwood loved the sound of the guitarist and wanted Buckingham. Olsen said he comes with Nicks because Olsen managed both. Fleetwood didn't want Nicks but eventually the remaining Mac members said okay and next thing you know - the Fleetwood Mac that scored a huge following was born. Sadly right after the "Fleetwood Mac" album and before "rumours" was recorded, the band got huge headed and got rid of Oslen so they didn't have to play him a lot of music they wanted to keep. Olsen did ok after by recording Ozzy Osbourne, the Grateful Dead, Whitesnake, Pat Benatar, Heart, Santana, Saga, Foreigner, Scorpions, Journey, The Babys, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Joe Walsh, 38 Special, and Eric Burdon & the Animals, among others. BTW - Olsen was also a members in 1967 of a band called Music Machine (not the James Taylor one) that scored a huge hit with the song "Talk Talk"

Still on contentment high from Sunday.
    • Heather Shay
CONTENTMENT The relentless pursuit of happiness often overshadows the more subtle yet profound emotional state of contentment. While happiness may be a fleeting high, contentment is the gentle hum of satisfaction that resonates through the soul, offering a sustainable path to life satisfaction. Oscar Wilde's poignant observation encapsulates this truth: "True contentment is not having everything, but in being satisfied with everything you have."

I've been looking forward to the legitimate medical groups coming out strongly against Cass' biased and one sided report, so I'm really glad to see the article you posted, @Davie.  Unfortunately, it won't get nearly the coverage that Cass has gotten.  She has done her dirty work.  Hopefully the pushback and investigative reports on her and her support network will result in her work being shown for what it is.  She is a fraud, and sooner or later all frauds are found out.   Carolyn Marie

CONGRATULATIONS, Jessica!!  That's really BIG! I myself did not experience a huge emotional roller coaster.  It was more like a smooth slide into emotional comfort.  The biggest effect I felt is when my Dr put me on T-blockers first.  I felt a bit 'empty' for a couple of months, but then realized it was just because the 'T-monster' was no longer running around inside of me.  Then I felt it was my new 'normal'. I feel like the estradiol was the 'frosting' on my transition affirmation.  It's been only positives.  I do cry a lot more, but it's only because I finally feel free to allow my emotions to come out.  To me it's not 'hormonal' ... it's FREEDOM!   Everybody is different but it sounds like you are under great care.  I hope you have a beautiful first year in transition on HRT (keep us updated if you can).
