I had basically the same experience, and I don't know if it's a danger or not, but to be honest, I didn't particularly care if I damaged those particular items. It stopped being uncomfortable after a while and eventually I could keep things neatly in place with little to no effort. I usually don't bother anymore though, since things are less noticeable down there with the HRT. I only tuck if I'm wearing skinny jeans.

I have tried it Brenda's way it works wonders with the two pairs of underwear, it works and it is the most comfortable espeically if you are sitting down for a half an hour!!!

Just my two cents on the subject

I found that this particular brand of stretch cotton panties which are cotton and spandex have a double layer in the crotch which is not sewn down in the front thus leaving a pouch. I found that after pushing those two little annoying things back where they came from I could then push my penis into the pouch in the crotch of the panties and pull them up. Huh, instant tuck and all day comfort without things moving around even while working. I have often wondered did the manufacturer of these panties have us in mind when they designed them? Even if they didn't I like them and they work wonders for me especially when having to use a public restroom because it is a no fuss way of tucking. Thanks have a wonderful day.

J. Marie

I noticed that to, but have never used it for an all day tuck, actually hardly ever. But I do know their thongs have the same :3

I can also add large ... hands ... are noticeable without an abdominal tuck :(

I made the pantyhose gaff from the youtube video on the first page. It works great and I think it looks great too. Definitely helps to give the impression that I have the body that I want.

so i've been reading around...long term tucking does lead to a significant sperm count drop, but are there other effects?? there's not much info pertaining to the topic, so i thought i'd inquire here. from the scraps i've picked up, i've read that long term tucking, like 24/7 for several months causes the testicles to atrophy, in which the effects... here's the quote from another testimony...

"Actually quite a lot of research has been done. In adolescents it is known as cryptochidism. Or more generically undescended testes.

As you all know the testes must be maintained between 90-92 degrees F for proper functioning. If they are kept at body temperature by being kept within the body and not allowed to thermoregulate by residing in the scrotum, the germ cells will not produce sperm and the leydig cells will not produce testosterone.

The result is testicular atrophy. Testicular atrophy can lead to loss of muscle mass, gynomastia, and depression. It can be permanent and irreversible if not corrected. In adolescents if uncorrected there is a greater chance of testicular cancer.

Additionally there will be decreased or eliminated libido, difficulty in attaining or maintaining an erection, loss of spontaneous and morning erections, and difficult and less satisfying orgasms and reduced ejaculations.

Feminization takes quite a long time. Gynomastia may take months to show any appreciable increase in bust size. Realize your level of estrogen will not increase. The amount your body produces in the adrenal gland will not increase to make up for the loss of testosterone. What will change is the *ratio* of estrogen/testosterone. Less testosterone will allow the body to respond to the estrogen. This is all highly simplified of course and probably wrong in some respects. I am not a doctor, though I played doctor when I was younger... (now I want to be the nurse).:P

I have been using taping to keep my testes permanently tucked in my body for the last month. I can attest to the symptoms of low testosterone I have most of them now. Though no real feminization. YMMV I don't consider the loss of my masculinity a loss at all.:D I anticipate starting HRT in the next couple of months and much of these same symptoms will occur with the utilization of the testosterone blockers and estrogen therapy.:D"

found this on a crossdresser's forum... so any thoughts folks? experience, studies??...

I've been tucking well over a year now and my private parts are used to it and now I don't even have to worry much that it will spring back. All I do is wear a couple pairs of panties or bikinis. The outer layer has to fight tight enough so nothing sticks out, not just the penis.

@Leela, I wish I would have known this years ago and I would have started much sooner.

I've been tucking for over 10 years. I can attest to the testicular atrophy (not enough) and the decrease in semen production. It hasn't had any effect on my libido. My husband / SO is happy about that. :) Early on, I used a gaff made from a pair of pantyhose. I haven't needed that or anything else for a long time. Everything stays put just fine. Still no substitute for surgery but that is still on hold for other medical issues. :(

Just a note, yesterday at a trans group I did use the taping method, firstly because it was only an hour and a quarter I needed to tuck for, and also because at the moment it's the best option I have. I wouldn't say it's particularly likely to cause you the harm described in the original post, at least not how I did it. I put a small piece of paper against it so that the tape wasn't in direct contact with my genitals. What I would say though is it is not very practical. Aside from going to the toilet (which I did just before I changed anyway), you can actually hear it when you walk. Unless I used the wrong kind or did it wrong.

So just my two cents on that - I wouldn't recommend it, for those reasons.

ok, i read like half of all of this and i even looked at the graphics which helped alot. I tryed it a little. BUT lol.....as i tryed it out i got all nauseas. didnt hurt, though. is that normal? or am i doing something wrong? never done it before,.

Than that with the dangers is a little scary but i also been told to not keep my contacts in for more than the period they are made for and i stil go over two months with it. In other words everyone has to determen for themselfs what to ris, i guess.

kinda looking forward to wrapp it all up and see the results..... hoping i dont get nausea again......

I have always used the abdomen method, and have found that if you use a form control undergarment like SPANX or something similar, it will keep you tucked even during heavy lifting or awkward stretching. Not only this but it makes your rear look a much more lady-like, and after a while your tummy and waist will get a much more hourglass shape too. Try and go a size smaller than you would normaly wear too, as that seems to help a bit. :)

Im confused on this subject because, I can put the testes in their cave, and thats fine. but they dont stay put. they loosen and com eback down on their own, it coul dbe that i dont use tight enough underwear, but im not fond of gaffs or thongs, jocks.. and all that. and i react allergicly to stuff on my skin, very sensative. so tape is out of the question. im not sure what else to try, i put the testes in the cavity and carefully place the penis under, no pain whatso ever. and im blessed with not being so big in that department anyway, but at the same time nothing stays put, its frustrating =( any ideas?

I really hope HRT helps me with this because I can't for the life of me figure out tucking. I have a ways to go yet before it is an issue, but it is NOT comfortable in any way.

For all of you who seem to have difficulty or are still having discomfort, just keep practicing :)

You will find what works for you. There really is no one way to tuck. As you practice, you will find it easier and easier.

One day, you will be tucking without even thinking about it.

Remember, tucking should be seamless and painless. Keep practicing, but don't hurt youselves..OK?

You'll get there. I promise :) I struggled too in the beginning.

Love.

I used the pantyhose gaff for a while, it works well but I don't like the waistband much as it always twisted up like rope and was visible through my normal panties. now I just wear a size smaller and my normal size, and all is good!

i have been tucking for about a year now and after a few tries i got the testicles into the cavity with no pain. i ve found that tight fitting panties hold the penis under the body between the legs. the overall effect is quite good . i think it has to be said it does depend on things like your body type, and testicle size ect. there is no standard testicle size so if you have biggish testicles then they might not go where someone with small ones can get them. i find mine feel normal tucked up now to the point where if i dont tuck but wear tight clothing they end up up there anyway. if you want to remain fertile then if you tuck it can reduce that ability. for me since i was snipped many years ago and only want female bit then if they stop working then ive lost nothing. if its painful or really uncomfortable then stop, its your body's way of saying somethings wrong. i find that even a partial erection can get uncomfortable if tucked tight and as i am not on any hrt yet this is something that can happen.(wish so much it wouldnt it a stupid thing lol) so i have to be aware of it. common sense has to top of the list as you can do serious damage if things are to tight for too long, the blood has to feed these bits or your in trouble. remember your trying to put your body into a position it is not really intended to be especially for any length of time.

I can't actually seem to find the cavity, let alone push the testes up there. Is there any possibility of explaining the exact location?

P.S. Sorry, that post may have sounded slightly wrong in some way. I'm not the most efficient communicator, so I tend to keep things as short as possible to avoid confusing people with paragraphs of uninteligible babble.

I saw the beginning of this topic about using nylons /stockings. But I have another problem and I want to test it out this week. Due age and being a bit more fat and knowing a time of heavy recumbent biking being not a bit overweight, I have problems with the fat distributing with the female hormones on that place : Errrrrr Oh yes, that place you won't like to have FAT there. That means after 6 years HRT, my penis get smaller and the testicles are . . . much smaller ::: But I cannot tuck the FAT-bulb under the pubic hairs away. If you have a jeans with a zipper, you know the jeans is also thicker there and after wearing a jeans for a week, the jeans bend aournd the pubic area. It is not really super feminine you see, nor I have the Army in my pants how some ?real? man passing the street to make a girl hot.

I am at the moment irritated, even not talk about this to people in general : Cause you know what people say : " Take a vagina and all is solved ". Yes, they try to sell us a vagina, even this is not my FIRST choice and it makes me NOT feeling 'a real woman' then. So I have a Ying/Yang : Cause I am a rebel and in a soft way they may see I am a transsexual. I solved much in my life myself : Let say solving much non-standard (helpdesk) problems in real big solutions, in what we here do too . . . Yeah, we must be a problem solver in a way . . .

http://www.trendvertise.com/media/catalog/product/s/l/slim-ice.jpg

So I ordered 'Slim Ice' and it must arrived sometime this week. I have to sport more, what I did but having a knee problem now, but some nasty areas needs a slim trick 'as seen on TV'. To melt some FAT away, cause there is no real excercise for.

Lara.

In the forward I learn that transgenderism is bad, and somewhere else that transgender ideology is bad.  I have not yet read a definition of either in the document.  I assume they are the same.  I know Focus on a Family has a definition of transgenderism on their website, or did, but I am not sure this is the same as that.  I might agree that transgenderism is bad if they use a definition I condemn (e.g. transgenderism means you always pour ketchup in your shoes before you put them on - I could not agree to that).  Is someone who believes in transgenderism, whatever it is, a transgenderist? I never see that term.  There may be other definitions out there, but I don't think there is an Official Definition that we all agree to.

They are thinking of Loudon.  The problem there was the girls were not protected from a known predator, who was moved from one school to another instead being effectively disciplined.  Outlaw school administrators? <sarc>

How ironic.  I agree with the governor "“You cannot change your gender; you cannot pick your gender…there is a confused group of people that somehow think you can,”    - we are what we are, we are fighting the fact we CANNOT change our gender, which we did not pick.  Many if not all of us would not have picked a trans condition and have sought to evade, deny or move out or resolve it anyway we can.  Those who are confused on this issue are not trans folk.  They want us to change our gender but they deny we can.  Confusion.

@FinnyFinsterHH no one can satisfy your questions about what will the future hold. But I can advise you to slow your mind down as much as you're able. Take it slow and one moment at a time. This advice goes beyond the practical reality that that's truly all you can do - further, try to enjoy each moment. It's clear you have a lot of aspirations regarding transition. But it's best to try to accept the bounds of your life circumstances at present because if you develop worries or even resentments about them, that will only make you bitter and more anxious. Instead, try to focus on anything you find affirming. Practice positive self-talk and give yourself affirmations too. Try to let go of expectations of your family members - they can only deal with change to the capacity they're able due to their own life conditions. Allow them grace as you wish they would allow you. Practice patience.   Try this exercise - read through your post and make one list of the positive developments and another of things you cannot control (including the future). If you have a sense of spirituality, offer the second list as a sacrifice to however you understand a higher power - leave it in their hands. If you're not spiritual, then offer it up to hope. Then throw that list away. Keep the list of positives and leave some room on it because guaranteed you'll have more and more to add. Look forward to that, but don't let your mind think it can rush things. Try to enjoy the ride.

I still have not read much of this.  Very little of this document pertains to trans folk.  Some of the statements are more than problematic concerning trans folk.   It certainly was not written just to get us.   " those with gender dysphoria should be expelled from military service."  and "Reverse policies that allow transgender individuals to serve in the military. Gender dysphoria is incompatible with the demands of military service,"  https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_CHAPTER-04.pdf are two lines out of hundreds if not thousands regarding the Department of Defense, targeting trans folk in an almost off-hand manner.    So if a fighter pilot, say, or a ship's captain, highly experienced and trained at enormous expense, is determined to be transgender (method unknown) the US loses someone badly needed due to the personnel shortage who is ready, willing and able to perform their duties.  Many trans folk have served well and transitioned later.  I don't think this point is well thought out.    A number of policy recommendations I would disagree with.  I am not sure there is a method to discuss those with the authors; I am attempting to find out.  I have good conservative creds.    They are fully intending to implement this, regardless of who the president is, as long as that president is conservative. It is not Trump centered.  I don't think he had anything to do with it.

I wear a Delimira Mastectomy sleep bra with Vollence sleep rated breast forms. The form fit inside pockets so they don't touch your skin. I bought the bras on Amazon and found the forms on eBay. They were much less expensive than buying through the other sources.
