On Tucking

Ok so I use 3M Transpore medical tape ...A little sticky but if pulled off slowly it comes off easy.

I also use 3M Micropore tape or any sports tape. Micropore is a paper tape

I look for the kind that is perforated so that it breaths.

Any tape will tear if you are to rough with it but I have found the clear Transpore and white paper micropore are pretty tough tapes.

And Jodygirl. That sounds like a cool thing to look forward to

Did HRT do that ?

Well, no matter how gentle either my wife or I was with removing that tape/gauze, it was ugly.

When i read this forum i have to admit that other than pushing things down, back and centered i do little to hide my bulge. I am perhaps not so well endowed but i am still male down there. Perhaps hiding that bulge is one reason i prefer skirts even if i'm the only woman in a room with a skirt on.

I don't think i could be persuaded to tape things in place. Way too many ouches.

Charlize

Always always always take the time to remove tape ONLY in the shower. And ONLY after VERY liberal applicationS of soapy water. This may take a little more time but it will save you so much pain.

Thanks Carla thats good advice.

Although I've never had much trouble pulling the tape off, I do it very slowly and using water and soap would be a better way to do it.

Also. using a little vegtable oil will help remove tape or glue without any pain or tearing of skin.

I must admit I briefly looked toward tape but decided it would be far too messy and if it were to stick Ok the chances are that it would be hard to get off (I have sensitive skin).

During the winter I have just, as Ashley mentioned, used panties with tights underneath my skinny jeans or jeggings. With leggings I usually wear a skirt so its less of an issue. When the situation is a bit more stringent I have used support underwear but as I am slightly tubby I find it a little tight on the tum for general wear lol

My approach is to be as natural as possible as it tends to be more comfortable and less prone to problems.

If I were ever to present, it would most likely be in skirts or dresses, for no other reason than I truly love them. I think I have a couple pairs of shorts but no pants. Not true, I do have leggins, :poster_oops:

TMI follows :) Things do shrink, thank goodness for E, tucking is not the chore it used to be, still you know it's there, sometimes rubbing when exercising, which is a real pain and reminder. I am just so tired of this, and dreams do come true....

Ever since I began suffering from low T (bad genetics I guess), all three items have shrunk a LOT!!

^_^I have to add my thought's on this subject

First, I appreciate that post's like this one are here to find.

Would never have thought to talk about it and If I did, would likely have bin to shy to bring it up.

I still feel like, kinda new here so, I keep searching the forums and the more I read the more I find

I have in common with you all. So very comforting for me to no I am not so strange :) At least here I just feel normal!

Seems kinda nuts (that's a pun!) that I never made some of these silly connections in my head (another pun!) before. LOL

My first tuck , Hmmm well that was like the first time that I tried on a pair of panties, age 5 or 6 I think. Tried most of the methods talked about in this post at one time or another over my life, I'm 58 now, so that's a long time.

I haven't openly dressed out in public , but I have always felt the need to fix things in that area to look and feel more natural and right. After reading this thread I can say there isn't much I haven't tried at some point. Kinda depends on how obsessed I am about my needs and my needs can take on a life of their own! I dislike anything having to do with tape. My favorite is pushing the testis up into the abdomen, seems very natural and with the boy down there rolled over and under. Sometimes If the panty liner is open and I can fit him in there as it's kinda like a sleeve I'll slide it in. Works great and there is the added security and confidence that things won't slip around.

Had to laugh !!!! A couple of weeks ago the wife was checkin me out as I modeled a new pair of tight jeans and we had just picked up and she noticed and asked "What did I do with him" I told Her that I tucked him away. She seemed a little puzzled for a moment and then asked does it hurt? I laughed and said no but arousal can be a problem at times ^_^

Thanks for the topic all!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 2 cents .

Lara

OMG! Rushing through this thread I realized something.

I don´t have a problem with the abdominal way of tucking but reading here it came to me when I must have started to lose myself to being borught up like a boy. There is a class photo from my 1st or 2nd year in school showing me standing so differently than than other boys. I now remember that I often secretely tucked away "everything" then, just because I felt comfortable looking like this.

Sadly I can't tuck easily due to a childhood operation to correct an undescended testicle. The right-hand inguinal canal is sewn shut so there's nowhere for it to go. Hopefully once I'm on hormones and there's been some shrinkage there'll be enough room for it to fit.

Please consider joining us, even if it's just for a few minutes to see what the meetings are like. I've learned so much, had so much fun and gained confidence in myself just by being a part of this amazing group of people. It's a low key, no pressure, non-judgmental chance to just be among people who are supportive, understanding and affirming of each other.    I'm travelling out of state and still planning on dropping in for awhile.    Come see what it's like!!

Thank you, Susan!! It was such an amazing experience for me. I can't remember if I even talked about it on a Zoom meeting.   Here is the link to the post I made about it. And, again, thank you for helping to give me the courage to do it.

Good morning coffees   This probably doesn’t exactly apply to me because you wouldn’t have found a more shy and conservative person than me.  I was perhaps less shy before my sister started complaining about me doing things that were hers to do. And I would become embarrassed and that was the end of that.   upstairs unit got their typical weekend visitors in the middle of the night last night.  They woke me up.  They have little consideration for being in a condo community and the neighbors being in such close proximity.   @awkward-yet-sweet , how goes the job with your husband’s boss?  I don’t recall you saying much about it this week, but I could have missed a post along the way.  If I recall you were supposed to meet with him last Monday.   @KymmieL I hope you are feeling better.     Yes, I find it to be wrong that just because a car part says Ford or Chevrolet on the box that same part with Lincoln or Cadillac on the box cost a lot.more.  I know there are differences in the upscale brands such as the engine and drivetrain in the Caddy and of course the interior fit and finish.  But it’s the same body with things crammed in the same way under the hood.     well, time to finish my coffee, fix my hair and made my way across the street to work.    willow

I read about her this morning. What a shame! She was beautiful and it seems she had a strong support system in place and could have had a wonderful life all to have it end like this. Such a waste. I truly hope the monster that killed her gets everything he deserves.

I am so glad you enjoy them as well. The help things “stay put” so well. It got me through some of my most dysphoric times.   Wow, I hadn’t heard this at last week’s Zoom meeting if you had mentioned it. That is a huge milestone April Marie.I have no doubt that this confidence will only grow in time. The freedom of being yourself, especially in public, is a wonderful feeling. I am truly happy for you.😘   *Big Congratulatory Hug* Susan R🌷
