I have a number of small breasted genetic girl friends...

Meaning all three of these women are an A cup.I thought

of myself as being small, wishing for alot bigger. Then,I see

the way those girls look at mine.It is akin to being my old

self and walking into a room, all the men would stand straighter

and suck in their guts. While the G women push out their breasts,

cup the girls and hope they look bigger.Let me tell you girls, that

really helps me appreciate my pretty little set of B's.When a gg looks

at my breasts as competition, means I look better than I thought.(grin)

Not all women are big breasted as we all know. There are the happy small

breasted women just as well.So if I have to stick with what I have been

given,I can be happy with with I got, ummhmm.

Hugs,

Angie

Angie---It seems totally natural for a woman to feel pride and joy about her breasts. For me having fully developed female breasts is almost central to my identity as a woman. Each time I put on a bra I am conscious that i am honoring my womanhood. My breasts are a wonderful blessing. That is the way I feel.

I'll share a recent personal experience. A close guy-friend of mine was over and we were talking openly and candidly about my feelings being a woman. It seemed natural and appropriate for me to take off my top and unsnap my bra and show him by breasts. He reached out to touch them in a totally non-sexual way. What i felt was total pride welling up inside of me as a woman. His response was just, "you really are a woman!"

I find that a little funny and a little scary. :D:huh:

I have so hoped that the mine is bigger than yours thing was basically a macho male thing.

(I mean I can see people noticing maybe a 3 or more size difference, but A-B? <sigh>)

I'm afraid the competitiveness is in women just as much as men. In fact, it's probably even worse in women when it comes to our bodies and is particularly worse in transwomen when it comes to our bodies, voices, fashion sense, etc.....

Frayed Knot, Sweetie! :) Size matters for both genders when it gets down to the basic biology of sexual attraction. (Guess you could take this a couple of ways and still be spot on.)

Chole,

There really is a big difference in size and shape between a A cup and a full B.

For one,as a full B,you can clearly see your girls shape under a tee or sweater, with or without a bra.

With an A cup,to see the girls clearly,a woman must wear a bra, unless she is comfy as she is and doesn't care that she is small breasted like my gg friends are with theirs.

I have a question, while on the topic of breasts.

My Mother has size DD, and I was like "Gosh darned! So with any luck I should be getting C's."

Then she told me the other day, she was actually a B cup until she got pregnant. Then with each pregnancy her breast size increased without going down.

My sister on my fathers side of the family has size C.

So, what should I be looking at?

Lord knows I'm so happy with my full B cup, it does make me feel very feminine. But my doctor started me back on progesterone a little over a month ago and my breast are starting to grow again, gotta love it.

Now on a more serious note I'm going for my first mammogram this afternoon as a female, had to have one as a man due to an duct infection about ten years ago. God knows that was real embarrassing. But we have to take care of our girls, we have a 30% higher chance of breast cancer due to the high estrogen dose.

Charlene,

Ouch! That would be a real bummer to grow breast only to have to have them surgically removed.

Charlene, while you're having your mammogram, you might ask about preventive measures we might all be able to take to help avoid breast cancer. One bright spot in all this is chances are now really low of us getting prostrate cancer.

Yeah, Rachel....

Funny, isn't it?

Life is full of trade offs...One thing for another!

I'm at a nice "A" right now and happy with where I'm at...I fully expect to end up a "B" and I be perfectly happy with that!

don't need DD's to be feminine!

Everyone has different expectations...if one doesn't end up with they want...there is always breast augmentation...

angie,

I 'own' several bras in different sizes, so I am aware of size differences. I was only sighing because of women worrying and/or lauding it over one another between two what I would consider normal or standard sizes. I mean, it's like in the other world, 5" or 6", who should really care, yet a lot, a really lot, do. I was hoping it would be different. <bigger sigh>.

I'm reminded of an old WRKP episode where the milquetoast newsman met the blond,6'3" construction worker stud that was dating the receptionist. The stud said, "I think a man's name reflects his personality. My name's Steele, what's yours". And the newsman blinked and said, "Les, Les Nesman."

Oh, and just don't look at my hands.

I'm all about some Full B, Donna Jean. Any bigger than that and they'll sag more than they perk. ;)

I'm getting a progesterone, along with my estrogen and anti-androgen, to help me grow my breasts faster.

Well, I hope to be about a C because I am well over 6 feet tall and I think that really small breast would make people wonder and really large would draw more attention than I want so with any good luck at all (and it really is just about time for some) I can manage a C cup and no more.

Love ya,

Chloë,

I LOVED "WKRP"! When I was a kid, I wanted to be Loni Anderson... or "Bailey (the other girl)". :D

Now Ms. Anderson's bra size was so big that she had to get 'em surgically reduced. . . .

Well, I don't think that Progesterone makes it happen faster...It has to do with helping them fill out better...

My doctor added that to my "mix" ....

Without it we have a possibility of having a condition called "tubular breasts"...and I guarantee you no one wants

to have that....

Good Luck

Thanks for the info; sounds like a progesterone IS needed then. I'm either getting "Delalutin (an injectable)" or "Microgest (taken orally)". I prefer the injection to keep my liver from having to deal with the detoxifying the oral, but "Microgest" actually HELPS aging bones.

Well, the jury is still out on that!

Some doctors make it a part of our regimen while others don't believe that it does anything at all....

I have no idea if it works or not...the girls seem more sore since I started on it so something is going on there!

It is thought that estrogens should be taken along with a progestin (a chemical with effects similar to progesterone) such as Provera (medroxyprogesterone). A progestin will tend to maximize breast development due to enlargement of the milk sacs themselves (as opposed to breast fatty tissue) and will approximate more closely the natural female hormone balance. A more natural hormone balance may provide some shielding against some of the hazards mentioned previously. Also progestins greatly reduce male sex drive. I could find no agreement in the literature as to the recommended dosage but higher dosages seem to pose no known risk.

REAL progesterone in the form of capsules is now available, but rather expensive ($1.25 to $5.00 per daily dose). Real progesterone is available as an injection also, at a very low price - the disadvantage is that the effects last only 3-4 days, so an injection twice a week might be called for. Real progesterone has ALL the benefits of progesterone, instead of only some of them as with progestins. Most doctors who give injections use Delalutin (hydroxyprogesterone caproate) instead of real progesterone, but the TS giving herself her own injections might consider using real progesterone instead, because of the reduced costs.

Micronized progesterone is natural progesterone that has been broken down -- or micronized -- to enable your body to metabolize it more easily. Before this process was discovered, women couldn’t take natural progesterone orally because it was absorbed badly and became inactive when swallowed. But now it’s easily available, allowing you to get the benefits of natural progesterone in the ease of a pill. Most often, you get micronized progesterone at a compounding pharmacy -- a pharmacy that formulates its own drugs according to a doctor’s prescription. But in 1998, a micronized natural progesterone called Microgest (Miccronized Progesterone) put out by the large pharmaceutical company Schering, became available, which is good news for women who found it difficult to find a compounding pharmacy in their area. The big advantage of natural Microgest (micronized progesterone) is the lack of side effects. It’s often prescribed to women who have had bad luck with progestins. In addition, it doesn’t inhibit estrogen’s raising of good cholesterol and may help build bone. All of this, plus the normal protective benefits of adding progesterone to your HRT, makes Microgest a good choice.

Use:

Microgest (Micronized Progesterone) is usually taken orally, however it can also be used as a vaginal suppository. In the latter case, the capsule is inserted directly in the vagina.

Possible Side Effects of Depo-Provera:

70% of women of use Depo Provera gain weight. Almost half of the women using Depo Provera gain more than 5 pounds after one year of use. Many women gain more than 10 pounds. Irregular, heavy, or no bleeding are common side effects of Depo Provera. After a year of use, many women stop having periods. Lack of a period becomes increasingly common with longer use. Other side effects of Depo Provera can include headaches, nervousness, mood changes, bloating, hot flashes, decreased interest in sex, breast tenderness, acne, hair loss, and back ache. After the last shot of Depo Provera, it can take over 6 months for the drug to leave the body. Side effects may linger until the drug is completely gone.

My condolences to the people of WA.  A huge warning about that type of politician though, those who broadcast the Anti-Trans message rarely if ever attend to any important legislative issues to benefit their constituency.  They are mostly single trick dogs, whose trick is to empty their food bowl and whine for more food.

This sort of stuff makes my blood boil. A prospective state politician has gained approval from his party's state council to run in their state election next year.   He once stated that the + part of LGBTQIA+ is where pedophiles are categorized.   For clarity, in Australia the Liberal party is our main conservative party. They have lurched further to the right over the past 10 years or so. Our main progressive, union backed party is Labor.   WA Liberal party approves Dr Thomas Brough, candidate who linked LGBTQIA+ community with paedophiles - ABC News

Happy Mother’s Day    I have to be at church earlier than normal for a mic check.  I have been going over what I am to say, both silently reading and reading it aloud.  My concern is that my voice will freeze as it sometimes does.     I felt I was honored very highly yesterday by my minister and supporter on my journey.  He and another minister are Standing together to become the next co-moderators of the Presbyterian Church (USA).  They included me to receive an advance copy of their initial submission.  I was one of only 6 people listed on the email to receive this.  Later this week it will go out to all the voting commissioners that will be in Salt Lake City for the meeting.  I have asked to be allowed to attend the meeting to support him and Rev CeeCee Armstrong, whom he is standing with.    We’ll time to get ready .   Willow

Nup. Not an option. You need to keep going and keep us all in the loop, and we need to keep seeing your beautiful smile!   Party, schmarty. I'm 61 and haven't had a birthday party since I was 30. Even that was just a crummy meal at the pub with a few friends who we have since lost contact with. Don't sweat it.

But there is one thing you might have neglected to say at the end, and that is, "And they all lived happily ever after!" ❤️   Reno sounds like a pretty good place to call home. I understand the attraction of living in a place that is not too big but not too small.   I look forward to reading your subsequent posts about specific aspects of your journey.

Hi and welcome. A few things...   1. You're right, you can't trust your friends w/r/t the question of passing. How would they even know if you pass or not? My sister used to do the same thing, telling me that no-one knew I was trans and that to her I just looked like a cis woman. I still don't know if she was serious or just trying to make me feel good, but I learned to not listen to her on that topic.   2. Buuuut, having said that, I thought I looked good, and I think that is all she was really trying to tell me, that she liked how I looked as a woman. Maybe this is obvious, but I feel it gets overlooked: passing and looking good are not the same thing, not even remotely. Your friends (I presume) are trying to tell you that you look good as you are.   3. Having said all that, I think non-passing transmascs have a harder time than us non-passing transfemmes. All I have to do to get gendered correctly 95% of the time is wear a dress and makeup and only a few seriously ignorant folks and diehard transphobes misgender me. For you, it's much harder to find signifiers powerful enough to send the same message.   So in short, I don't have any answers, except that you're right, it sucks, and I hope the situation improves over time. But passing isn't everything. Maybe you're right, and in a less conservative state it wouldn't happen so often, because you'd have more people like you surrounding you. I know that where I chose to live while transitioning has been a big part of making the process a positive experience. I'd hate to be in Texas atm.
    • Mirrabooka
Thank you, ladies.   At the time I went from euphoric (my normal state) to not euphoric in an instant, and the lingering thought was one of self-doubt, manifesting itself with the unsolved question that maybe I never really felt like I had the soul of a woman, I just thought I did. I know I'm not the only one to ever feel this way. All part of the ride on this roller coaster I guess.   Yep, and yep. Makes sense now.
