Only if its to a girl and you're tryin to come off as "sweet" in her opinion ;)

lol... I think he said he got it from a bakery? but sshhhh don't tell him I told you lol.

cuz if I didn't you wouldn't want it LOL

Don't get it mistaken. I can "cook" -in that "jesus, you better do something or you'll die way"- and arguably feed a woman if we both need me to or she's on the "try to impress with how evolved you are but you know you're not " list, but I don't "bake"-anytime a pan and the oven is involved =DANGER.

But mostly I get a lot of mercy :P Yep, women make me meals. And those who are friends and get a real view of what I can and cannot do for myself typically say "you? actually need a wife" LOL.

The place cooking holds? My gramma will tell you...in fact I'll just go ahead and quote something she actually did say once and it was about a girl I went out with that she was "unsure" about :"hell, once I found out she couldn't cook I didn't worry about her, I knew she could never hold my grandbaby. :P

I'm a pretty fair cook actually. Baking, not so much, but I have a few decent meals that I can make. Enough to sufficiently impress a girl, anyway. Which is 80% of the reason to learn to cook, with the other half being to feed yourself

I will admit that a guy that can cook is a big turn on, but a guy who will do the dishes after I cook is an even bigger turn on!

Why is it I always feel like women are always "impressed" with stuff that takes jobs off their hands? LOL I have YET to hear a girl say she's gonna go kill some mice to "do something nice" for a guy.

Clean the trash up in the alley around the bin? How bout knock the wasps nests down?

In the end, she wants him to do "his" jobs AND hers <_<

THATS why I don't like "modern" women. To me? It just spells LAZY.

haha... I'll have to keep that in mind when I am hungry!

I can do all that :D*

(don't read the disclaimer next to the asterisk - who does that nowadays anyways? :P)

*Does it count as cooking if you use a cookbook, or is that cheating? I like to do things by the books, and that includes cooking and baking. But take the book away and I can't stay on my own two feet. lol.

Really? Ok caveman, this is why....us "modern women" have a job that pays us to work and then we come home and have to clean the house, wash, dry and fold and put away everyones clothes, cook, take care of the kid(s).....as in make sure they are clean, feed, entertained, out of trouble, homework if there is any done, gotten to and from an activies safety and on time..... pick up after YOU guys (cuz we all know that if might kill you guys to put stuff away or at least put the dirty clothes in a basket instead of the bathroom or bedroom floor), make sure any pets are taken care of and then we the kid(s) are finally in bed and asleep and we are about to pass out in bed you guys decide that we should want to have sex with you!

So you want us to do something nice for YOU, like put out, then do us a favor and lighten our load and we just might find some energy for you.

THANK GOD I have a man who understands this and helps out!

And for those of you who keep it once you are with a man, and make equal or even more pay which you put into the pot along side his (as opposed to keeping for your "shopping" money) I salute you , but far too many of your sisters "Suddenly" are unable to stay at that "horrible" job where they treat her horrible/ don't appreciate her/ cause her to not be able to spend the time with the kids she says she wants to/ any one of 99999 other reasons I've heard as soon as Mr I-think-I-see-a-dollar-bill-hangin-out-of-his-pockets moves in.

REALLY? This must be the parallel universe where y'all don't START OUT washing, drying and cookiing only to swiftly determine that you might do yours and the kids stuff but you see no good reason why a "grown person" (its always about what he should be able to do cuz he's grown....) shouldn't be able to "do these things for himself. " And thats those of you who even have skill in the matter. I've seen far too many self-proclaimed domestic-wonderwomen who's laundry skills SUCK (you get it back looking as dingy as it went in) and who's cooking is only "marginal". I've watched em order their kids into the great outdoors on bicycles to get the hell rid of em (so much for keepin em entertained and out of trouble) while I -not her- am the one doing homework with them , makin up lesson plans to make sure they aren't missin what's goin on, being the soccer/softball/ballet parent and designated driver to whatever game or practice it is on Satuday morning. And while I'm-so-put-upon-I-could-just-parish might be good for a little food and water, RARELY does she wanna go out at 6am in the winter or after dark with the pet OR clean up throw-up if anyone else is home. So yeah, all that considered, and since the actual BILLS and her upkeep likely were more handled by whatever it is that came outta my pockets I might be inclined to expect a little ___ in the bedroom.

Hahaha a lot are like Evan.....SINGLE. Lol

Thats not "single" cutie, if you tell em to call mommy and tell her I'm puttin you out its called "escaped" rofl

And I gotta let you know -cuz I realize you preachin to a lot of young guys who may not have been through enough of you to know- that actually it stands to reason that so many guys "opt" for the bed-buddy/ I'm not committin to you roles; in those you actually get performance -and yeah, in all the rooms.

But I don't wanna discourage guys who might want to do the domestic thing. It's good...it can be good...when y'all act right...to have one on tap.

Hmmmm....referring to the ex wife? Not all of us are like her. I for one have been doing the work 30-40hrs a week at my job (that I have no plans of leaving once my man moves in) being a single parent (sperm donor is a deadbeat, no help, no child support, no nothing) to a toddler, clean up after dog and cat, yard work, house work, minor plumbing and repairs, put things together, cooking (which I am somewhat good at), laundry (stains are not acceptable), paying the bills and mortgage thing all on my own. And it is EXHAUSTING. Am I slightly bitter? Maybe. Do I need a grown child to look after in addition to all that I have going on? NO WAY! But if my guy comes over and helps with something or gets up with my kid in the morning and lets me sleep in, he will be rewarded greatly later! Cuz when doing EVERYTHING on your own is the norm and bit of help is greatly appriciated :)

That is a blanket statement that makes way too many assumptions. My dad? The breadwinner for his family (me, stepsons, wife that's only a nurse, her mother). My mom? Breadwinner for her family (me, her unemployed boyfriend).

Yeah, my mom's BF lived with her my whole senior year of high school. For free. And who still did everything around the house? My mom or I. Even though he was the one that used to be a cook and master of odd jobs, who said he could fix anything or do anything but barely ever did, and if he ever did then he'd think he was so PRIVILEGED and didn't have to do anything else. And my mom could never bring up that he was living there for free, because if she truly loved him, money wouldn't matter!

And then my stepbrothers are lazy bums that will stay at my dad's & stepmom's rent free and still not do anything. Oh, look, you mowed the lawn. Once. Wow. Very similar situation as above.

Women should be impressed. Many are going to college, getting high paying jobs. This isn't the middle ages. It shouldn't matter what gender you are, and different people have different skills, and I can only hope that couple try to be equal in their workload, instead of one being a lazy leach.

Just... :banghead: I have a leach of my own at the moment. Stupid roommate.

Hardly. She's in there (oh you bet) but certainly not alone. Thats a compilement of over 20 years being involved with different women. By and large, in the end, except those who were kept out of "permanent, domestic definitions" those things "cyclicly " happen.

That is a blanket statement that makes way too many assumptions.

Nothing blanket about it if you read that one critical line.

My preference, my feelings. And its gonna stay that way.

I don't think there are too many Donna Reeds still out there, sorry Evan

You'd be surprised. :o -if you know where to look .

Question is will you find a good fit "in all the other areas".

Until then, I'm perfectly happy to try one or two on tho ;)

(And honestly, if I found a "perfect" one , there's no guarantee I'd buy her at this point, I don't trust the "jekle/hyde" after purchase)

The in the same room /on the same furniture bit is overrated.

But if you are "single" (to usurp your word) in the same time period is your business.

This is true so long as non of the parties are have the expectation or reason to believe they are the only one. If one does then you run into trouble. You also run into trouble when adult activties are occurring with more than one during the same time period without disclousure of that fact. If said activites occur more than once with the same person from a female prespective we assume that we are the only on you are engaging in said activites with. Assuming does tend to lead to trouble, esp when we assume wrong (yes, I said it women can be wrong :P) but none the less that it how it works for us.

yes, I said it women can be wrong

ROFL (I'm just kidding you)

Actually , I agree. Typically, that conversation "has a way" of making sure it works itself into whatever new acquaintenceship is burgeoning. And if its "not like that" (ie she's not interested in dating not meaning "automatically committed" , cuz thats not dating, thats serial monogamy) then we pass and maybe are just casual friends or maybe just drift to whereever. If dating is "dating" then we talk about what that means for us and what our expectations are. I'm one who's a germ-a-phobe, so I definately have requirements and prerequisites about adult stuff but think there's a way to conduct whatever you're doing in such a way that all parties (including those not immediately present) can not feel in jeopardy; dying IS forever and yes I am one to make a trip to the health department a romantic date lol. If I'm that way, and you are that way, and who you play with too (not that all of us aren't still going to wrap up whatever needs to be) it should fly. Cuz honestly, me being monogamously dating you is no more "guarantee" that you aren't inheriting anything than if I did that; not a lot of virgins over 20 running around in the world. Me believing I'm somehow getting a girl who's somehow less likely just because she's only dating me is naive; there were likely plenty before me. Do I realize that there is a LESS risk though , having cleared that issue, in monogamy? Yes. And [you have to keep this part a secret though ;) ] I don't actually send pets hidin under bathtubs with "every" woman I know.
