I pity any next of kin that'll end up having to pay up on that debt. :P

I find untangling such knots immensely satisfying on an otherwise quiet day.

Quick releasing knots are more more speciality when it comes to tying them (for tying horses). Sorry!

My fishing knots only occur when the fish are biting and I have laid a pole down to unhook a fish or when I first get there and other people are pulling in whoppers while I struggle w/ line. Patience is not a virtue I was blessed with so I have to respol my line more frequently because my way of untangling knots involves scissors. I can save the knots and send then to you if you'd like-you'd have a lifetime supply!

I can do quick release knots for horses-and have had a couple learn how to pull the end and release themselves. I had a friend whose horse figured it out and released himself and half a dozen other horses tied to trailers w/ quick release knots. Just went from trailer to trailer pulling ropes. It was funny but she did not win any popularity contests that day!

 sorry about my typing last night. (Yes I have to apologise because I like to keep a certain image and reputation! ;) ) and I fear I ruined my reputation. Very bad night guys, very bad night. But I'm okay.

Have never tried fishing line, might be challenge... Post away! ;)

That must have been one seriously funny sight as the horse worked it's way along.  Those moments when you wish you could convert sight into video files!

I'm off to the shop... anyone need anything?

about to go study chemistry. Otherwise I'd join you on the whiskey thing. lol

It's been a long time since I did any of that. What topics are you studying?

Is work allowed here? :P

Walker's crisps-bacon and shrimp. I used to have them sent over before times got tough. and a box of Yorkshire tea would be a treat too:D

Damnit I nearly cried when the exchange rate from pounds to dollars went up! There went my overseas buying! Have to remember not to simply divide things by 2 anymore! It was so much easier. :(

You can probably do all your shopping from the UK and get it sent over cheaper than you can buy it there now. :P

gen chem II. It is really difficult. Maybe that's cuz it's summer semester. But we're studying stuff like kinetics, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, acids bases & buffers...

Ouch-You gave me a headache just thinking about it.

Maybe college wasn't as fun as I remember.

Then again maybe if it had been less fun I'd be endowing transitions instead of worrying about paying for one!

lol. yeah I don't particularly like chem. I like physics and I like calculus (I still need to take a year of physics, already took a year of Calculus, got A's and B's) and I like bio (that's my major, thus all the science requirements) but chem... no. lol. And I still need a year of organic. I hope that's at least slightly more interesting then gen chem.

Is gen chem inorganic chemistry? Ours used to be split organic/inorganic. Inorganic always made more sense to me. Not sure what level you're at, still haven't got a grip on the US school system! I took my chemistry to A Level and was sooo bored with it come the end of those two years. Bleh. Physics is my thing for sure. :D

yeah gen chem is basically inorganic.

Physics just clicks with me. Makes sense. Chem doesn't. dunno why really.

Been using the wok on the back deck a lot the last few months.  Just got another stock of udon noodles from Amazon and we are using those in the stir fry with onions, peppers and a spicy peanut sauce.  I did this often in the 90's too, but back then I was just using a standard Coleman camp stove instead of this high BTU wok burner.  I've had the burner for a couple years, but haven't been using it regularly until recently.

I’m a lefty. Learned to be a bit ambidextrous for certain tools that assume right handedness like scissors, but couldn’t write with my right hand to save my life.

Tangent, adjacent, opposite...  It's still rock n' roll to me.  I don't know about the "in god we trust" part of the money, but I like the lady with the scale.  And then I look left at the Indian statue on my mantel of Guanyin feeding a drop of liquid to the dragon at her feet.  In god we trust?  The lady with the scale?  Maybe this is too binary.  And then on the other side of Guanyin is that kind of pelican wood bird that sits two feet tall that I hauled back from South America through the Panama canal.  The beak broke in 1998 and I carefully saved the pieces (as I usually do) and attached them back about a decade ago.  I used a drill to make a small hole and then put a finish nail in there.  Then a hole on those two pieces that needed to be attached.  Upper and Lower beak.  There is still a seam showing.  I could cover that up, but the beak is a bright yellow and well, it's better with all the pieces in place and I don't mind seeing the crack.  I guess that is the tangent and the other two are the opposite and adjacent. -money  Why don't coders always code the "-" action in their search fields?  It's not that difficult!

@April Marie Yes, it's something to shop for at least for 6-8 weeks.

Definitely points to learn and keep in mind.  A bunch of stuff I had put in mental "cold storage" thawed out a bit there and ready again to run through my mill.  As said, a bit long and as usual from her a tad bit challenging.  Overall I see it and can use it as a working hypothesis.

Yeah.  I like Nebula, that was where I watched it.   I posted the YouTube cause I figured more people could see it.

We agree on most of this... and the church/state thing is kind of a tangent anyways. Oops. LOL   I think it has long been established that all different kinds of groups have access to public funds. In my opinion, either everybody has access or nobody does. I would prefer "nobody."   Relying on public funds gives the government the power to take it away, and puts that power in the hands of whatever group controls the government at the moment... the news article that is the topic of this thread shows a clear example of that happening.  Organizations trust government at their peril.

More info on Abigail Thorne here: https://go.nebula.tv/philosophytube and, Dracula's ex-girlfriend, on Philosophy tube.   "The reason why Nebula is so cheap for what it is, is because there's no upper hierarchical group looking yo skim off the top. Imagine how much cheaper EVERYTHING could be if it was like that for every other service or product; if the money went straight to workers, not up a chain of command until it reached someone who did exactly "jack" to produce what's being sold.
