I think that I am gay... It's odd because it's out of the blue... In the Beerless beer thread... Pictures of girls were posted... I admit I THOUGHT they were hot... Back then... But now... NOTHING... Guys... Something...

Anyone else go through anything like this...?

What I noticed in my years of pretending is that guys sometimes become disinterested in girls they see constantly - especially if it is just photos. It doesn't mean that they are no longer interested in girls, they just seem to get bored with the same variety...

Anyway, being gay could be fun, too - men are adorable...

At your age, I wouldn't worry about labels too much. Just go with what feels comfortable. If dating girls is not comfortable, don't do it. You'll just make yourself miserable trying to be something you aren't. Also, don't worry about pigeon holing yourself - you may change your mind multiple times over the years until you figure out what works for you - just make sure whatever you do, it is your decision...

I like a lot of girls. At times I can get turned off by entire "types". (typically because of something one of em has done but....)

I don't sit around though freaking out wondering if suddenly I don't like women.

I go on and at some point find some other woman who turns me on. Might be some other group. Might be some other style.

Might just be a different woman.

I vote for what chngewnd referred to: bored. Trust me dude I become "bored" too if the woman/women available become stale.

I technically identify as pansexual, but my preferences/tastes have fluctuated a lot over time. Even if you never settle down into one strictly-defined sexuality, don't let it bother you. =)

Take things one day at a time. With all the crap we deal with our thoughts are all over the board about this and other issues. Maybe the familiarity with the female body has something to do with it? You might need to just connect with someone on a deeper level.

I sometimes go off women completely. And just have no....desire what so ever. But it doesn't swap to men or anything. it's just that my....erm...desire has gone down a bit for whatever reason possibly hormonal. Sometimes It's because I feel generally p**** off at some things women do and say. (No I'm not saying women are annoying before anyone gets offended. I'm just saying as a guy sometimes I don't understand some things women say and do and I just start thinking "ARGH! I can't deal with them!" and my desire just goes for a few hours/days...

I have always identified as pansexual. But with recent events... Girls in general (unless they look very very very masculine) just turn me off... I have done some tests... So, this is what makes me think that I am gay

In the test that I did I looked at a whole variety of pictures and videos (PG-13 videos thank you) and nothing nothing nothing >.< It drives me nuts. I don't have a problem liking guys that's not it... I have a boyfriend. I just don't like the whole gender thing and liking only one gender so it's throwing me off >.<

The only person that seems to be putting any pressure on you about these issues is you.

Maybe the familiarity with the female body has something to do with it? You might need to just connect with someone on a deeper level.

I have never had an issue until recently. Not all the guys I like have a "male body" So I don't that's it... Yea I am putting pressure on it because I don't like this

If I ever figure out the convoluted maze of my sexual orientation in relation to my gender identity and biological gender I'll let you know but till then -all I can say is it's jsut too complex to figure out and wait to see where I end up. I think that's all we can do. Just be glad the boat floats as it were

Maybe trans is so confusing that we want to make sexual orientation simple? As if anything to do with that was ever truly simple-gay striaght bi or fluid. Well maybe for Ken and Barbie!

lol but seriously you can't let it bother you. Like Evan and others have said just cuz you aren't turned on at one point in time doesn't mean your orientation is actually "changing." Maybe right now you are just more into guys. That doesn't mean you're NOT into girls. And even if you're not into girls... since you are so focused on wanting to be pan and liking someone regardless of gender... even if you don't like girls, you are still pan even if you are only into butch girls, right? You're still kinda disregarding gender/gender identity in a sense.

As far as I know, queer is an 'umbrella' term for everybody who is questioning their orientation.

Another funny term is pomosexual, because it's used for people who don't want a 'label' for their sexuality. A label for people who don't want labels... Kinda awkward.

It's possible you wanted to like the women, so you let yourself think that you do. Essentially, "lieing to yourself" to fit in. Being FTM and gay can be hard but its not impossible to find a great mate. I'm going to be brutally honest here - find a bisexual guy or any other term there is for someone who is happy with multiple sex's. I'm not savvy with all the terms out there nor do I care to learn them all.

I'm weird with my own sexuality but I wont get into it here. lol
