The Truth About Me Even If Its Ugliy

Hey everyone,

While I was on 2 south I managed to maintain my weight @ 141lbs. In the two weeks since I came to the Alcohol Drug Treatment program I have lost nearly 4lbs. Which is a significant amount when you are already thin and trending downward. In class today we have a wonderful instructor and I was able to be honest with her about something I am not proud to admit. It is a judgement that applies only to me. I don't want to be a fat woman. I want to be a beautiful as I cann be and I am not sure where that bar is. I also learned that one of the causes of anorexia is feelings surrounding control. I have no control over my life I am told when to wake up, eat, go to a meeting, even what homework I need to do and how well I do it. If the addiction therapist doesn't agree with my answer he rejects it out of hand and asks me to think more about it. I have been in this situation since August 10th and I am going to a more restrictive enviornment. The only control that I have is what I eat. I am tired of eating institution food. I am tired of being in an institution.

I don't know myself anymore and while it is an adventure discovering things about myself, I can't be sure of who I am! I don't want to be anorexic; just like I don't want to be a drug addict. I love myself and want to take care of the little girl inside, but I am missing something, and I don't know what that is. She has no language and can't communicate with me easily.

Huggs,

Emily

Kat,

I am 6' tall and wear a size 4 dress. I agree with you 100% I just don't know how to get there from here. I know that some of that guidance is coming from my gender therapist. I think these last two weeks are a symptom of a much bigger issue then she is prepared to deal with.

Huggs,

Emily

Emily I am glad you are working on that part of you. I am 5ft 11 in and 140 pounds also. I sometimes drop down to 135 but gain it back to 140. It really is a balancing act for me and probably you to maintain our weight. I have trouble sometimes thinking I feel fat when in reality I am not.

What someone like me and you need to do is find that happy weight and try to maintain that without looking to skinny. I think where I am at right now is just fine but nothing below that.

I can fit into a size 8 and that works for me. Just try to remind yourself some of the most beautiful women out there are not size 4. Look at Jennifer Anniston or Sandra Bullock. You are a beautiful girl too no matter what your size is.

You've never encountered the Oklahoma State Troopers, then.... it isn't far from reality.  I swear they've got half an army of cops just sitting around.  On I-40, they've got big concrete pads where they sit in the middle of the highway, sometimes a row of 8 cars in one spot.  I guess they've got money to burn....

I fenced my posting of the link.  Yep.

Good to hear about that case, but I believe Oklahoma is in the 11th Circuit COA region along with Texas which is going to find some way to nullify this decision as far as the Oklahoma law goes, just because - - - -

That's a Circuit (Circus) court ruling.  Which is essentially temporary.  Most everything right now is temporary, as the Supreme Court hasn't gotten around to dealing with all the various trans-related issues from the last few years.  I really, really wish they would just bite the bullet and do their thing.  It would save us from the constant tug-of-war. "The sky is falling!".... "No it isn't.".... "But there's crap coming down."....."It landed east of here"  Whether it ends up being good or bad, I wish they'd just lance the boil and let us either have a tyranny we can fight against or a republic we don't mind living in.  Mediocrity is irritating.

I'm sure there are some...there's just about every kind of person imaginable in our society.  And I suspect that a number of actual GOP politicians aren't really haters...it just happens to be convenient to go along.  Like most Germans in the early 20th century weren't actually anti-Semitic.  It was just that it didn't matter to them.    While I'm not friends with any politicians (well, other than local ones), the majority of folks around me aren't anti-trans.  And one of my two trans friends is a Trump supporter, with hat and all.  My other friend is a Democrat, and the three of us actually get along even when we talk politics.  Life is interesting.

This suggests some of the problematic policies would be unenforceable if implementation were attempted.    https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/4th-circuit-gender-identity-is-a?publication_id=994764&post_id=144139815&isFreemail=true&r=rebf4&triedRedirect=true

You can believe what you want.  But there are such.  That should not scare you.  I wonder why it does.

I don't believe it. I've never heard of such a thing. That would scare me.

Yay for this . . . it overrides state laws. 4th Circuit Court says: Gender Identity Is A Protected Characteristic, Blocks State Coverage Bans. In a landmark ruling, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that gender identity is a protected characteristic, and that Medicaid bans on treatments for gender dysphoria are unconstitutional. https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/4th-circuit-gender-identity-is-a?publication_id=994764&post_id=144139815&isFreemail=true&r=rebf4&triedRedirect=true

I would challenge him next time about where is being transgender a fatal sin. The only thing he has about giving into fleshy desires. Another thing you can hit at does the Bible cover intersex people? Bible to me stands for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. You could also challenge him as to how many times has the Bible been edited.  You could challenge him on what music, movies, podcasts and tv shows and how they give glory to God. I challenged my mom, and she had nothing to say other than I know I'm right being defensive.

God is not the author of evil.  The world is fallen - one of the few things everyone agrees on is that not everything is right with this world.  There is agency that can act contrary to His will.  And there is the promise that He will work all things for good for those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.  Rom 8:28.    Beyond that, I don't know.  Sometimes I say He made me transgender and sometimes I say it is the result of the fall. In either case the truth is governed by my previous paragraph.

That is what I am hoping!

Its only temporary...just til I get the current project done.  Actually, even back when I was working, I always worked from home.  Usually curled up in a corner with my headphones on.  In those days, it was just me and my GF and my sister.  I'd wake up when GF went to work, and my sister didn't have a job so we just stayed home.  She was still trying to be a writer.  But now it seems like everybody is up early, either for work or with all the kids.  Not much chance to stay in my nest through the morning now.     Congrats on your anniversary, BTW.   The Acadia might be decent for you.  I actually saw one of those after an accident.  Totally smashed, but the people inside hardly had a scratch.  I guess they're pretty safe.  IDK about a 4 cylinder engine for an SUV, though.  Around here, even that 4.0 6-cylinder would be considered "small."  I have the only 4 and 6 cylinder passenger cars in my family, actually.  My ancient Chevy Lumina has a 6 cylinder, and my Mazda Miata has a 4 cylinder.  They are appropriately "fox-sized."  All the rest are some flavor of V8, either the Ford modular engine or some variation of Hemi.      Would getting a new ID change how the day center handles you?  I would think it would be tough for them to justify treating you different from what your ID says...
