It's not trans related but one that I can relate to is Edit Me by Twin Atlantic

"It's dynamite when you bridge just how you think to how you live

They say it comes with age, we can prove them wrong

Cos you know it's not right, you can feel it in the words they say

They think they're the right ones

You can't edit me"

It could practically have been written for me!

Just Close Your Eyes by Waterproof Blonde while it may not be intended to be trans-related if you read the lyrics it can definitley be interpreted as such. it's definitley worth a read of the lyrics or a listen.

While it may not have anything to do with trans-related, it does deal with unwanted time we used. I relate to it in many ways. Crosby, Stills, and Nash sang, "Wasted On The Way" which is I relate to the most right now. Here's some of the lyrics that make me cry but in a good way. lol

Look around me, I can see my life before me

Running rings around the way, it used to be
I am older now; I have more than what I wanted
But I wish that I had started, long before I did

So true, I wish I began my journey much sooner but I am older now and I can accept these beautiful changes with maturity.

Yes! I definitely questioned every answer and I envied the dancers when I had no nerve of my own. And yet, I must go for what I want now. The final line reminds me of all of you wonderful people on here who transitioned or are transitioning and how happy you are. Everyone deserves their own happiness and I am fortunate to have found a community who knows how to help me on my journey. I suggest to listen to "Wasted On The Way" by Crosby, Stills, and Nash. It's amazing.

I won't post any lyrics of it here or anything, but "Lost" by Within Temptation has been resonating a lot with me since I actually began paying attention to the lyrics. I'm quite positive it doesn't have anything to do with trans issues, but it resonates nonetheless.

Neko Case sings I'm a man she's a GG and the dichotomy of a female voice singin this song speaks volumes of gender dysphoria;

I'm a man
That's what you raised me to be
I'm not an identity crisis
This was planned

One more that strikes a chord in my heart, Ray Davies of the Knks wrote I'm not like everybody else, and it's like a rock anthem

I won't take all that they hand me down
And make out a smile, though I wear a frown
And I won't take it all lying down
'Cause once I get started I go to town

Neko Case a GG sings in her very recent song I'm a Man, the juxtaposition of a female singing this is very trans related to me;

I'm a man

That's what you raised me to be

I'm not an identity crisis

This was planned

One more just for fun! The kinks sing I'm not like everybody else, though I dug the Creep reference earlier!

And I don't want to ball about like everybody else

And I don't want to live my life like everybody else

And I won't say that I feel fine like everybody else

'Cause I'm not like everybody else

Crawling by Linkin Park is a song that may not have been intended as trans-related but it definitley resonates with me.

I saw this concert in which it is said that the famous phrase of Jon Landau "I saw the future of rock and roll and his name is Bruce Springsteen" comes from that night. By the way Bruce opened for Bonnie Raitt that night and she was the better performer . . . just sayin'.

Astronomy and astrophotography.  I have done a few public presentations on the subject and could most likely wing it for an hour without putting you to sleep.   On the other hand if you need a sleeping pill, I could also talk for an hour about flying and you'd be out cold.

Please consider joining us, even if it's just for a few minutes to see what the meetings are like. I've learned so much, had so much fun and gained confidence in myself just by being a part of this amazing group of people. It's a low key, no pressure, non-judgmental chance to just be among people who are supportive, understanding and affirming of each other.    I'm travelling out of state and still planning on dropping in for awhile.    Come see what it's like!!

Thank you, Susan!! It was such an amazing experience for me. I can't remember if I even talked about it on a Zoom meeting.   Here is the link to the post I made about it. And, again, thank you for helping to give me the courage to do it.

Good morning coffees   This probably doesn’t exactly apply to me because you wouldn’t have found a more shy and conservative person than me.  I was perhaps less shy before my sister started complaining about me doing things that were hers to do. And I would become embarrassed and that was the end of that.   upstairs unit got their typical weekend visitors in the middle of the night last night.  They woke me up.  They have little consideration for being in a condo community and the neighbors being in such close proximity.   @awkward-yet-sweet , how goes the job with your husband’s boss?  I don’t recall you saying much about it this week, but I could have missed a post along the way.  If I recall you were supposed to meet with him last Monday.   @KymmieL I hope you are feeling better.     Yes, I find it to be wrong that just because a car part says Ford or Chevrolet on the box that same part with Lincoln or Cadillac on the box cost a lot.more.  I know there are differences in the upscale brands such as the engine and drivetrain in the Caddy and of course the interior fit and finish.  But it’s the same body with things crammed in the same way under the hood.     well, time to finish my coffee, fix my hair and made my way across the street to work.    willow

I read about her this morning. What a shame! She was beautiful and it seems she had a strong support system in place and could have had a wonderful life all to have it end like this. Such a waste. I truly hope the monster that killed her gets everything he deserves.
