What Part Of Your Body Are You Most Dyshoric About?

Guest Carden

Hey guys (and possibly ladies ^.^)

I was curious. What part of your body makes you the most dysphoric at this time in your transition?

A lot of the guys I have spoken to have said it is their chest.

For me it is my hips. I absolutely cannot stand my hips. :/

How about you?

My wide hips and fat lower body. Some of the fat has moved, but there is still a lot hanging around. Even if I got down to like 8 to 10 percent body fat, the bones would still be wider than they should be. The best I've been able to do is build up my upper body to balance it out. :(

I'd be hard put to make a choice but I guess in the end I'd say chest. I have to look at it and do things about it so much more often. I've always wanted to go bare chested in the summer.

Definitely my chest. I'm broad-shouldered enough, and have a big enough belly that my hips are of little concern to me. I get dysphoric about my lower area sometimes, especially when I'm around a girl that I think is attractive. ><

I hate my chest of course. It might be small but it's still too big.

I'm lucky that I don't have hips-- my legs are too injured to have muscles and apparently fat as well...

I also really hate my gigantic baby fat cheeks. I'm not sure if that's gender dysphoria... but I hate that too.

There's a lot I hate and not all gender related. I really like the way I walk with a limp, though. That's cool.

Yeah, my bone structure is wide hips and the smaller shoulders than most girls. No bueno.

Still, I'm most dysphoric about my chest.

I hear a lot of guys focus so much on the chest that they aren't dysphoric about below until after chest surgery.

(Hey, anybody recognize me?) For me, it was my stomach at first, that female pouch. Even though I was really thin, it was always there. It's gone now, but now it's knowing I have a uterus. Sometimes, just thinking about it gives me stomach cramps.

Chest, without a doubt. I'm rather "blessed" in that area, so it makes it extremely difficult to conceal. I occasionally get hip/bottom dysphoria, but it's not too bad. Other than the chest, probably the next worst one is (This may not actually be a body part, but it's a physical characteristic, so yeah....) my voice, which has only started bothering me within the past two months, but it's getting steadily worse.

Yes! lol. Welcome back :)

I feel that way too sometimes, about the "pouch." I want all that gone...

but for me, it's a tie between chest and lack of male genitals.

My chest is (very large and) definitely at number one, but my hands are a very close number two. They're so small, with short fingers and barely visible hair. No matter how short I keep them, my nails are all thin and smooth too...and my wrists are so skinny/delicate! And my hands are too graceful. Just looking at them annoys me. At least my feet have hair on them...and people hardly ever see them, anyway. But no, my hands have to be constantly visible and so girly. :banghead:

Sorry if I'm not making too much sense, I'm really tired.

Before top surgery it was definitely my chest, I rarely if ever had bottom dysphoria.... After surgery (June 30th) it's been slowly creeping up on me. I think it's also been bugging me more cuz a good real life friend just had her SRS-bottom surgery and knowing how great it is for her to finally feel complete and whole, it just reminds me how crappy our side of the field's lower surgery is. I'm trying to fight the dysphoria and working my way through it.

*shrug* someday our surgery hasta improve, right? :banghead:

It will, Sweety! I know it will. I mean with all the focus there is on fixing erectile dysfuntion, there has to be some spinoff knowledge on how to make a realistic penis that works, right? Not to be blunt or anything.

Besides, look at the bright side. Look at the rate of passability amongst trans guys as opposed to us girls. There has to be a balance!

Love you much!!

Well, I guess NOW I'd have to say my high-peaked hairline. (Sorry sorry, I had too)

But really, I'd say the dysphoria is pretty much gone.

I am so glad you got to fix you major dysphoria area. For me, I will just have to continue to live through your updates and hope mine will come someday.

My chest!

Geeze, somedays I feel like it's this big sparkly, glowing, neon, "This is a girl!" sign. They're something like 42DD, and a pain to bind. I think in high school lots of the girls were jealous of them. If there was a way, I would gladly give them away! Sometimes even when I'm not binding, people have thought I was male. But then they see my chest and they're all falling all over themselves trying to apologize for their perceived offense. And me being the the closet, means I can't tell them how I really feel about it. -sigh-

And my uterus comes second only because it's internal so it tends to be less prominent, unless I'm dealing with that monthly curse thing. I'm sure if I got pregnant, that would change REALLY FAST. I have no greater fear than that. Can't wait to get rid of it.

Many "red" or "blue" states are not monolithic.  NC splits something like 49-51.  Actually, about 1/3 Rep, 1/3 Dem, and 1/3 nonaffiliated.     Since the legislature makes the districts, they favor the Rep to a 1 vote super majority.  Our Governor is Dem, and Dems can win statewide elections.   Of course you'd never know that with what is coming out of the statehouse lately. My point is that the "shifting" is not really shifting, it only reflects the actual population of the state.   When I was growing up I used to hear it said that "changing her mind was a woman's prerogative."  I embrace that.  I am fine with changing my mind when I want to.  Things change, sometimes we need to change as well.  I don't consider that as "unstable" - just not dead yet.

Good morning everyone,   I’ve been working on a few projects and my internet screen time has been very low. Today is Primary Election Day for Indian voters. I will be voting later, but the most important thing I’m looking forward to is the reduction of political advertising. Let’s get back to regular daytime advertising which reminds me of the need for hearing aids, Medicare choices, and comfortable catheters. Heaven forbid I would need an accident injury lawyer to get me the big check. Only daytime TV can take a 30 minute show from the 1980s and make it into an hour long series. I really don’t watch that much TV because I prefer to listen to music while I’m in the shop or doing yard work.    The coffee is good, the morning songbirds are loud as they forage for their hatches.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I pretty much started out what some would consider as the androgynous phase of childhood puberty. Being the youngest sibling in my family, I was mostly seen wearing boy clothes at the time. As I explained earlier about my parents not showing me my birth certificate until later on in life, in the meantime before that happened, my daddy always wanted a boy/son in the family. It's been a long time, when I first started menstruating, it was a turning point in my life, followed by a series of car ride returns to the emergency room, patient profiling, and misdiagnosis.      From that moment my parents had stopped saying I was going through a phase. One night at my parents' home during midnight hours, they thought I was asleep, but I saw their bedroom light was still turned on. Out of curiosity,  I tip toed to their bedroom's door as I listened in on their conversations, it was the first time I heard my parents questioned about the gender marker on my birth certificate wither a hidden variation involved in my development.

Good morning   weii I’ve read some good news here this morning    Yes the ancient Roman symbol was used on some coins. The Mercury dime come to mind. It was showing our fighting might.  Arrows and a fighting axe.  I realize few people recall the Mercury dime.  My 6th grade swore there was no such thing so I brought him one.  He had promised a dollar if I could prove it which I did. Then he tried to Welch on the bet. The entire class got on him and he had to give me the dollar.  Ah, the little things we still remember from over 60 years ago.  Like today as a i was cutting a banana for my cereal I recalled my grandfather doing the same for me about 70+ years ago.   well instead of a 9 hour day I have an 8 hour day scheduled then there is that stay a little longer to do X.
