I Came Out To My Grandfather.

Hello everyone,

Yesterday, I came out to my grandfather and told him that I was male-to-female transsexual.

His reaction was calm. It was probably the best cast scenario.

We had a good conversation about it for about thirty minutes. What I was, and what my plans were.

He asked a few questions, which I answered. And he made a suggestions about those around me that did not know I was a transsexual.

It was a very uplifting event for me.

Usually there are two ways that can go with grandparents...

First...they may be so set in there ways as to be non bending as to new things (such as you coming out)

But!

Secondly: many that have lived that long and have seen how the world works just say..."Do what makes youy happy!"

Yea, I knew it was a coin toss going in. But, I talked to him in a mature adult manner. And I think that helped. Also, I have a good relationship with him.

He can get upset, but only when it is really important.

My next mission is to sort out my fiances this weekend and try to get on HRT in the next few months. My current medical situation is not good in some ways, but does open some other opportunities.

But, that is another matter to talk about later.
