Divinity 2: Dragon Knight Saga

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone here has bought, or intends to buy/get, Divinity 2? It was launched back in Febuary I believe, titled Ego Draconis. Apparently is was pretty buggy and so on. The developers though have gone back and remastered alot of the content and made a new expansion to the game, releasing them both as a combined package called the Dragon Knight Saga. I'm so eager to get it, have to wait for Christmas though, bleh!

So anyway, I'm just curious if anyone here has bought it and if so what you think about it? RPGs are my favorite genre but I feel as though there aren't that many good ones in recent memory, and those that could be really good are often riddled with so many bugs it makes any enthusiasm to buy it vanish (for me, at least). This though seems pretty nice from what I've read of it and watched on youtube, absolutely gorgeous music too! I highly recommend anyone who likes that medieval/fantasy music to at least listen to the title theme for it

.

its made by belgians..and since i'm belgian i should give it a try... but its yet again one of those so many hack and slash rpg's..i'm a bit tired of those..if i try one again it would be diablo 3.

Perhaps. That doesn't bother me all that much so long as the game is fun. Apparently there is alot of humour sprinkled throughout the game and the like. What I'm tired of is how RPGs seem to be getting simplier and smaller. Take the Mass Effect games as an example. Second one was so much more shallow and mindless than the original (imo, of course). Besides, you get to fly around as a Dragon in Divinity 2! Thats reason enough for me to get it, lol. ^_^

I doubt I'll ever get Diablo 3 though. I enjoyed the second one and played it online for quite some time but... at some point I realized how mind-numbingly simple and repetitive it was and called it quits. Number 3 will be just more of the same, which is awesome for those who want it of course, I'm done with the series though. Will probably just look up all the cutscenes on youtube to see how the story finishes. :)

Soo, just an update. Not that anyone seems interested in this game though. Got Div2:DKS for Christmas and I must say it is very, very fun! Most entertaining RPG I've played in a long time. Its less about character development (personality wise ala Bioware games) and more about just being really fun. Alot of great humour in the game too, surprisingly so to me as I generally dislike comedy stuff. Not to say its a comedy, just that the characters and dialogue options are quite varied and humourous. ^^;

Gameplay wise its not a hack and slash game, not really. Sure at the beginning all you can do is spam the attack button, as you level up though you can unlock a big variety of different skills, some active and some passive. By the end of the main game (haven't completed the expansion part yet, taking a break :)) I only had like three active skills maxed, and a few others with just one point in. Needless to say anyway you can play the game a great many different ways as far as combat goes. =)

Its also quite open ended in what quests you can pursue in whatever order you'd like. Also, you get to be a Dragon, which is -awesome-. The animations for it are a bit dissapointing though. Still, the next game will be a instant purchase for this gamer! ^^ I would say though it was quite hard to get. It came out in late November I believe and alot of shops here (I live in the capital city btw, not some small town which wouldn't have most games) hadn't even heard of it and those that did hadn't any. Eventually my Mum found it and, apparently, it was the only one the shop had left.

From viewing the official forums, it seems the game isn't released in the US yet due to publisher issues so, for those of you who are interested in it, not sure what you might do. Steam version I suppose? For the PC users anyway... enough rambling about this game though. ^^

      Good afternoon M.A.   Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums, I think you'll find that there are a lot of us who had their first therapist reconsidering our story and recommended us to gender or LGBTQIA specific therapist. I made my first therapist cry after asking me what was my worst experience or memory. She was not prepared for the can of worms I brought to the couch. My second therapist is a gem, she's my age and knows how to work with my thoughts.    My two kids were also involved in the arts programs in school one in theater, the other combined art and modern music.   Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

      Welcome.   This can be a good sounding board and a place to say things you otherwise could not. Be yourself. Find out what that is.   Abby

      I'm wearing a white t shirt and jeans.  The t-shirt is softer than a man's and slightly girly.  Feeling kinda pretty.

      That's very common in internet forums and it is hard not to take it personally sometimes.   You might post "bump" with a smiley face to bring it to the top of the stack, or you might use the @ feature if there are certain people you would really like to have comment on it, and say something like Dear Abby, I would really like your input on this.  Please take a minute and respond.  Thanks!!!

      The same for me... That's exactly were MmIndy came from. I started choosing female skins as soon as they became available in the few games I played.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

      Something else I noticed @Ladypcnj Since I use the Unread tab, I don't see threads I've read again until someone replies to it, or the author adds something.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

      Good morning @Ladypcnj   Some posts get lost in the busy times here. It also maters how people navigate the site. Some only look at their notifications, or tap the All Activity tab which shows them thread they've commented on. (how I see it)... I on the other hand use the Unread tag under Activity. I don't think people ignore post as much as they get caught up reading threads they've already been active in.   Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

      What to do if post is being ignored?

      LOL.  I have done this more than once.
