Christmas Gifts

Just wondering how everyone's Christmas was... Did you get some great new clothes and things? My wife is so amazing and I'm continuously thankful she is supportive. She bought me 4 outfits for Christmas! Two outfits with skirts and two with pants. She also bought me 2 sets of matching earrings and necklaces for 2 of the outfits. I am on Cloud 9! I was able to try them on briefly to make sure they fit, but am still longing for next week when I can wear one of them all day. Now here's the funny thing. Before she knew about Sienna I was so focused on dressing in more evening wear only. Even for a short period after she found out. However, since my wife has known over past 3 years she has influenced and guided me to dressing more like how women dress everyday. I have transitioned into building up more business and casual outfits. Up to this point these outfits had skirts paired with them or they were dresses. This Christmas I asked for something just a few years ago I would have never considered asking for, pants!!! Don't get me wrong I still love skirts and occasional dresses, but it is really crazy seeing myself evolving in this way. I don't think about the evening wear so much anymore. Has anyone else here found themselves changing their preferences in wardrobe items or expanding it to things that at one point in time you really never considered wearing?

This is a wonderful post, Sienna. I'm so happy that you're Christmas was so full of joy and happiness. You do have a fantastic and loving wife, and you're very lucky in that. Perhaps we can see some pics at some point?

Like you, I started my wardrobe with fairly feminine outfits; skirts, dresses,

frilly blouses. But I too have become more practical, and have since bought

many pairs of slacks and jeans and low heeled shoes. I no longer feel like the only way to pass in public is to wear hyper-feminine clothes.

This was one of my best Christmases too, Sienna. I spent the day at my sister's house en femme, and all the gifts I received were to Carolyn, and every one was gender appropriate and lovely. We went out to dinner (at a Jewish deli, of course :D ) and had a great time.

It's great to be a girl, isn't it? :D

So happy that you had a wonderful Christmas, Sienna. I've always been a casual

dresser favoring skirts, sweaters, blouses and camisoles. My wife bought a purple

pullover for me. I've taken more interest in having casual dresses in my wardrobe.

I need more shoes also.

I've seen changes in my life the past several months. This past Sunday some commented

to me that I look so happy. I really AM happy.

I am so happy for both of you Carolyn and Gennee! That is great!

I always need more shoes too! I think I have 15 pairs now, but am always looking! Having lots of shoes is great isn't it?

Sienna, Carolyn & Gennee - isn't it grand when we get to the point we can be and dress like every other woman in the world? No more 'costuming."

I no longer feel like the only way to pass in public is to wear hyper-feminine clothes. as Carolyn Marie says...

YEAAAA

Good Holidays Season! Makes me happy - so many here had less...

I broke down and added my first picture of me to my gallery. Not sure what others' impressions are of how I look... I don't think I could pass, but I feel great and love my new clothes!

Well let's just say for starters that you look fantastic! I was initially primarily a skirt wearer but I found myself gravatating towards more casual looks...jeans w/ form fitting t-shirts and sweaters. I've been trying to make my wardrobe more "real" so that what I have resembles what most women wear day to day. I started noticing women's fashion more and more as I was out and began by trying to piece together that look for me. What I've found is a much more natural look that compliments my figure more. I completely understand where you are coming from.

Thank you sooo much Melanie! You made my day! I was extremely nervous about uploading a picture and am overly critical on everything about myself. It is hard to look at myself and determine if I look okay or not. I too have really began to focus on women's fashion more closely and feel like I have made a lot of progress in that area with the help of my wife. I have so much to work on still... voice, convincing movement...

I read about her this morning. What a shame! She was beautiful and it seems she had a strong support system in place and could have had a wonderful life all to have it end like this. Such a waste. I truly hope the monster that killed her gets everything he deserves.

I am so glad you enjoy them as well. The help things “stay put” so well. It got me through some of my most dysphoric times.   Wow, I hadn’t heard this at last week’s Zoom meeting if you had mentioned it. That is a huge milestone April Marie.I have no doubt that this confidence will only grow in time. The freedom of being yourself, especially in public, is a wonderful feeling. I am truly happy for you.😘   *Big Congratulatory Hug* Susan R🌷

@Abigail Genevieve, that is not an appropriate question, IMO.  This isn't the Army/McCarthy hearings.   Carolyn Marie

Don't think Americans would go for the "compulsory" part. We kind of like not being told what to do ... Amazingly, there is great pushback on voter ID laws. The opponents say it discourages voting, especially among the poor and minorities. That is really a smokescreen IMO for those who want to harvest ballots from as many places as possible, including folks who don't exist or don't hold citizenship...

Pretty soon I think I might be ready to talk about gender-affirming care for kids, possibly w/r/t the Cass Review and its shortcomings.

She was a beautiful young woman ...   "What we do know is that the offender was a very violent individual and should not have been on our streets.”  Whether gender related or not, the mental health and incarceration issues in our country are incredibly bad and need to be addressed.

April,   I'm glad my entries are interesting to you.  TransCentralPA is a great organization with so many caring people.  I would strongly recommend you find a way to attend the Keystone Conference.  I guarantee you'll find it an amazing experience.     Hugs,   Sally

Dear @Sally Stone.  I think you should author a memoir based on these posts (maybe you're already working towards that?).  You could decide at a later time if/when you might want to publish.   I appreciate you sharing your deep connection with your friend Willa (and I am sorry for your loss) and the benefit of having a Trans friend and mentor in our Life and Journey.  I was fortunate to have found one also in our TGP friend @Kasumi63.   As you know we share many common Life themes in our stories.  Drop me a PM if you'd like to chat about it.  Looking forward to the next 'chapter'.

Voting is compulsory here, for better or worse. Would doing the same in the US snap people out of their apathy?

I am noting you use CRT terminology.  The comment is not out of the blue.  Some of your remarks on religion suggest atheism.  So it is believable that you are a Marxist, knowingly or not.  Are you?

Congrats to your family on the new addition!
