Soooooooo this crazy CT weather has allowed me to work from home today! I could have gone in but I have a bunch of reports to write and that can be done, ANYWHERE! Plus roads coated in ice are not fun.

So I am working from home and in full girl-mode! Took me about an hour to get ready between dressing and putting on makeup. Makeup was about 30 minutes which isn't too bad. I have more photos up in the gallery. So far I spent my day working and listening to a bunch of Frank Zappa albums and being in girl-mode. Curious observation is that when alone and dressed I'm usually in high spirits, but when I change clothing to male ones and go out then stuff comes back, and when I'm alone and not dressed I am also prone to bad/annoying/crazy thoughts. I think the next experiment should be, going out while dressed but that will be a big step... don't think I have the guts yet.

Tomorrow evening I'm going to get to meet up with a GT. Unfortunately I'll probably be going straight from work, which means that I won't have the opportunity to be dressed or anything. But at this point I'm willing to take what I can get. I'm not too worried about it getting canceled again because the weather is supposed to be nice albeit cold tomorrow. I'm just hoping I don't freeze up when I get there, 'cause honestly where will I begin?

Now I must be diligent and get back to work,

<3

Thanks for the update, Orva. I'm glad you're safe and snug at home.

I think its natural to feel good when you can dress, and not so good when you can't. I've come to accept that I can't always be dressed, and while it's a bit depressing, I just look forward to when I go full time, and that keeps me going.

Good luck with the G.T., hon. Don't worry a bit about being in guy mode - they're used to that. How many new clients would they see who was already full time and could come from work dressed en femme? Not many, I would think.

I feel the same way. But at least for today you get to work from home in full girl mode. I am here in the office dress like a boy. :(

Enjoy the rest of your day!!

I am so happy for your good spirits! I love to dress up! I am quite the girly girl! A snow day, I bet this one will be long remembered! I am excited to hear your report from tomorrow! It will still be a few weeks before I can get to mine again and I miss her.

Orva,

I'm happy for you! I too am working from home in full woman-mode today. I try to do this 2 to 3 times a week when I can. I am loving it. It takes me about an hour to get ready too -- makeup/dressed. My wife works at home with me too most of these days and is ok with it. She helps style my hair (wig) which is awesome! Around 3:00 when I have to change back to male on these days I get really depressed about it and wish it didn't have to happen. My wife says I mope. I have 2 daughters... the little one has seen me and acts like nothing. My older one (still young too but in school) doesn't know. I haven't ventured out of my house yet either. I really want to but I don't have the courage. My voice isn't ready for one thing. Still working on the passable all-around (I just read the post about passing in the transsexual forum). It's important to me. I want to be without question identified as a woman. I find myself planning or thinking in advance what I'm going to wear the next time I get to dress. Sometimes it's really hard to decide. And sometimes I change clothes a few times during the day! So indecisive. lol!

Enjoy your day!!

I did enjoy yesterday quite a lot. To an extent I didn't want to take the cloths off so I didn't end up getting out to de-ice my car until nightfall. Now, THAT WAS FUN! I think fully dressing like this is a good thing for me, one I should do when I can. Unfortunately during the week it isn't practical because I don't have a whole lot of time between cooking diner and other various housework before I go to sleep. I might try to set aside one day of the weekend to do it though.

Doubly unfortunately therapy has been moved to Monday. <_< Although the weather wasn't bad today the GT's town did not do a swift job on snow removal and as a result there was no parking. Now I've reached the point where this is happening, I will park in someone's yard if I have to! Talking with her on the phone for a bit helped but driving didn't. Seemed more particularly bothered at the ridiculous actions some people call driving tonight. I didn't want to just go back to my place so I made the most excellent call of going food shopping and indulging in my want to by new foods. A few times in the store I became envious of others but for the most part I was too busy buying cool things:

I bought a whole duck because they're a bird full of dark meaty goodness! Going to try and make Thai duck noodle soup (or at least as close as I can without going to an Asian market for real ingredients). I also got me some ox-tails! Pretty pumped about that, Jamaican ox-tails are delicious, I even found a spice pack for it in the store. I also had the foresight to get plantains so I can fry them up! I also got a Jicama which I am enjoying right now with lime juice and red pepper. It is a pretty crazy fruit but will it be as crazy as the cactus pear I also got? Also my local grocery store stocks one of my favorite beers, Hoegaarden! Its a DELICIOUS Belgian white spiced wheat beer and I loooooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeee it!

I had an interesting thought when I was carrying this all in to my apartment and that was that I will probably miss the ability to carry so much stuff at once. I also had the thought that maybe I should hulk out and be a guy b/c I don't make a half bad fella, but I don't think I can do that... like I know that when I would be working out that I would be viewing it as more of a test of alleviation than an actual goal.

I'm going to be hanging out with friends on Saturday so I think I'll be able to stay cool until Monday.

There will be another update when I do finally get to see the GT!

I read about her this morning. What a shame! She was beautiful and it seems she had a strong support system in place and could have had a wonderful life all to have it end like this. Such a waste. I truly hope the monster that killed her gets everything he deserves.

I am so glad you enjoy them as well. The help things “stay put” so well. It got me through some of my most dysphoric times.   Wow, I hadn’t heard this at last week’s Zoom meeting if you had mentioned it. That is a huge milestone April Marie.I have no doubt that this confidence will only grow in time. The freedom of being yourself, especially in public, is a wonderful feeling. I am truly happy for you.😘   *Big Congratulatory Hug* Susan R🌷

@Abigail Genevieve, that is not an appropriate question, IMO.  This isn't the Army/McCarthy hearings.   Carolyn Marie

Don't think Americans would go for the "compulsory" part. We kind of like not being told what to do ... Amazingly, there is great pushback on voter ID laws. The opponents say it discourages voting, especially among the poor and minorities. That is really a smokescreen IMO for those who want to harvest ballots from as many places as possible, including folks who don't exist or don't hold citizenship...

Pretty soon I think I might be ready to talk about gender-affirming care for kids, possibly w/r/t the Cass Review and its shortcomings.

She was a beautiful young woman ...   "What we do know is that the offender was a very violent individual and should not have been on our streets.”  Whether gender related or not, the mental health and incarceration issues in our country are incredibly bad and need to be addressed.

April,   I'm glad my entries are interesting to you.  TransCentralPA is a great organization with so many caring people.  I would strongly recommend you find a way to attend the Keystone Conference.  I guarantee you'll find it an amazing experience.     Hugs,   Sally

Dear @Sally Stone.  I think you should author a memoir based on these posts (maybe you're already working towards that?).  You could decide at a later time if/when you might want to publish.   I appreciate you sharing your deep connection with your friend Willa (and I am sorry for your loss) and the benefit of having a Trans friend and mentor in our Life and Journey.  I was fortunate to have found one also in our TGP friend @Kasumi63.   As you know we share many common Life themes in our stories.  Drop me a PM if you'd like to chat about it.  Looking forward to the next 'chapter'.

Voting is compulsory here, for better or worse. Would doing the same in the US snap people out of their apathy?

I am noting you use CRT terminology.  The comment is not out of the blue.  Some of your remarks on religion suggest atheism.  So it is believable that you are a Marxist, knowingly or not.  Are you?
