I recently came out to my mom, and she is extremely supportive, yet she and I decided not to tell anyone in my family until necessary. Well, I left some information on my laptop which my brother happened to use. He then asked me about it, and I told him to talk to my mom about it, since I'm bad at talking basically. He only demanded one answer: Did I want a change? (by that he of course meant sex change, a term i don't particularly care for, but that's what he was asking). I told him yes, and he immediately went outside and just sat there and thought. He wasn't angry, but he's been treating me differently. We have been really close for the past few years and I think he feels like he's losing a brother, so he's kind of just...blahh. I guess he's trying to treat me like a girl, which is ultimately what I want, but I just didn't think it would happen so soon. He's adjusting I guess, it must be hard.

Does anyone want to share experiences with their siblings from when they came out?

Love,

Alyssa.

Wow, this must really be a heck of a time for you both. Just wanted to say it sounds like, although an emotional time, you both sound like you love one another tremendously. It'll work out it sounds like, you just need to keep goin easy on each other which you seem to be doing pretty good. Good luck to you both. Peace.

Hey!

I posted before about coming out to my eldest sister. You can read it here.

I will post about coming out to my other sister soon. Yeah.. i was the only boy.. and that got all screwed up..

You brother's response sounds pretty amazing. I think he'll be fine. Everyone has to process this stuff in their own way. Just try to be glad he's trying to treat you appropriately. :) My sister still treats me like her little sister...but i dont exactly know how our relationship would (should?) change... meh *shrug*

your brother's reaction sounds pretty good :) . i've got quite a few siblings so i got mixed responses. my oldest brother, who i'm closest to and is my only fully biological sibling, was surprisingly cool, he said he'd always known and he'd been treatong me like a guy for as long as i can remember (much to my mother's chagrin). the rest of my siblings reactions ranged from complete disgust (under my mother's influence i assume, as they're still fairly young ex. 4, 6 and 10) to partial acceptance, to complete cluelessness that anything had changed.

I spent this weekend with my sister. I am considering moving into the area she lives in and she has offered me a place to stay for a bit, so I went to fill out some job apps and just spend a couple of days with her. The last time we got to visit, we talked about the trans issue for the first time. She was absolutely supportive and understanding.

This weekend she told me that she thought it was wonderful that she had a "little sister."

Everyone has dealt with this pretty well, though so far all anyone has had to "deal" with was me telling them how I felt. I have generally had nothing but acceptance.

But hers is just above and beyond. I'll never forget what she said.

Good morning everyone,   It was our first night with our European Boxer and it went well. We got up at 05:30 let him out of the cage and went directly outside to give him a chance to go potty. It has been raining for two days and nights so the grass is soaked and nearly up to his belly. I don’t think he’s ever been outside while it’s raining or wet. I had my rain jacket on and a big brimmed hat as well as rain boots, he just stayed at my feet no matter where we went in the yard. I took him to the previous locations where out daughter’s dog had gone poo, but he just sat at my feet. Once inside and drying him off with a towel. He took a poo right there. So I gathered up his mess, and took him and his poo outside. So right now it’s dog one, trainer zero. Now that the coffee is brewed and I have a cup, he’s chewing on a toy.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Strange that I awoke from a dream dreaming about "being able to pee standing up!"   I know that sounds strange from someone AMAB, but intersex issues have always prevented that.    I wonder what made me dream like that? That was a first! 🤔

Morning y'all.    Nearly winter here, but it's a mild climate compared to what most of you experience. Even so, the best way to describe the mornings lately is...nipply! 😁

What I don’t like about the dealer working on my car, yes the put the paper mats on the floor, but why don’t they remove them when they bring my car to me?  And why do they always mess with my radio settings and my electronic dashboard settings?  I get them the way I want them and they seem to want them at factory default.  Leave things like you find them!  Why is that so difficult?  And don’t tell me it’s because the updated the computer! Every time!.  And no I haven’t figured out everything yet on the new car.  I can’t even get my key programmed to move my seat when I get in and out.  It’s supposed to move the seat, the mirrors, the steering wheel and several other things.  My old Eddie Bauer was easy to program but then it only programmed seat location and pedal location.   ok now that we’ve had our rousing knock on cars and dealer mechanics.  What else shall we talk about?  Bras?  Seems like an appropriate subject for most of us.  I have several different types. Two are famous store push-up padded to are more common everyday lightly padded ant one is a no padding no strap slip and the last one is a front close longline no padding.  Now that one supports the theory that I am now a B cup on my own. I’d prefer a C but then I’m not so sure my blouses would still fit without pulling.  Ah the problem we have as women.  And sizes are never ever the same.  Oh I’m a size ??  But men I need a large shirt and 36-30 pants and they always fit.   we can’t buy anything off the rack with confidence it will fit and I hate having to take it home to try one and return what doesn’t fit.   we’ll time to do my hair and leave.   love ya   Willow
