hey all,

This is about as far as I have come in my transition. I need to lose about 30 lbs of muscle in my upper body still and the HRT needs to do something more about my face and chest. I am wearing a bit of a fake chest in the photo and I believe my friends are correct in stating I need something more than a B. This is after 6 mo. HRT, about 4 mo. after my guy mode face shots.

What are your goals and accomplishments thus far? Please, post your photos and your experiences. Be as short or long as you want, just lets have a little get together where we celebrate how far we have come.

sml_gallery_9592_1079_7519.jpg - I think I may need to tone my upperbody to keep things presentable for the time being.

April:

Hey, girl, no worries!

HRT will definitely make you lose muscle mass. Of course, YMMV, as they say. As of about 2 days ago, I was at 1 year and 7 months on HRT, and I lost lots and lots of muscle mass. My belief is that a good fitness regimen (doing an activity you like to do) and a good diet regimen (healthy eating habits) will do more for the efficacy of your HRT than nearly anything else you can do.

Tobacco? Don't. Alcohol? Don't. Prescription or street drugs? Don't. That's just me. You do what you want to do.

You're at 6 months on HRT or thereabouts? You're gaining traction, girl. I'm guessing you're in your early-thrities? Heck, I'm probably wrong. Never could guess peoples' ages. My point is that effects of HRT really DO tend to take longer to manifest once we're beyond a certain age ... which varies person by person. Don't worry, April. Your HRT most assuredly IS work, I guarantee you.

Dee Jay looks awesome at that Greek festival! How great it would be to be there too. Three years on HRT now? Wow! You're doing GREAT with it!

Actually, I have no pics to post. Honestly. Like, who's gonna taken 'em anyway? Otherwise, I'd post a pic or two or three. Got a new wig, more good makeup and an affecting a more natural surfer-girl look which I much prefer anyway. It's working.

My renewed A.A.N.R. card came in the mail just today! Yeehi! So, this Monday, I see my M.D. (a transwoman herself) for my 6-month checkup and titration of my HRT. Then! Looks like I'm gonna boogie to Mountaindale Sun Resort. Alllrrriiiggghhhttt!

Like, so?

Lacey Girl's gonna sun and swim and generally freak 'em out. Why? Imagine a T-gal 1 year and 7 months into HRT wearing a sun hat, girl's sandals, sunscreen and ... that's it! No-op (so far anyway) and B-cups with a good (I'm blessed) figure. Nope. Not braggin'. Yep. Just sayin'. It oughta be a hoot!

Rock on, April! :lol:B) Lacey Lynne

Keep the faith, April. Remember, natal girls take 6-7 years in pubescence to blossom. Good things often take time. It'll so happen for you.

The 2 months mark today for me fer HRT.

I haven't really accomplished anything of note that I wanted to.

Right now my plans are just to be good within myself. Lose a little weight, but not much else.

Here's a picture of me as I am all natural, Haven't shaved or showered yet, and have bed hair

Photo1370.jpg

Hope that worked.

April: Can I be forward for a minute?

You're very good lookin'.

I couldn't tell you were wearing fakies, to be honest. And you have a very nice figure!

Outfit looks good on you also.

Donna Jean: Stunning as always. Don't think I can give you anymore sunshine without burning you.

Lacey: Giiiiiiiiiirl, you creycrey. I love it :P Just be safe, kay?

Love, Maria.

Dee Jay, you are adorable. I LOVE your hat and wish I could pull it off.

Lacey, Thank you SO much. You are always an awesome cheerleader. I really don't feel to shabby about where I am at. I actually never thought I would get to here, and I am only 6 mo. in. I am vain so I will be maintaining a bit more in the future, maybe doing something about my weight, but really am not to worried about it. Each time I go out I feel like I pass just a bit more. I do understand that your beauty tends to render most photographers stupified, but I hope to see some updates soon :P .

Maria, you can be as forward as the mods will let you :P . if you step over a line there will be no love lost sweetie. besides, I think you are looking good for 2mo. and you seem to have a really great canvas on which to paint the story of your femininity. Well I shall be forward and say you have really great eyes, kind and eager.

Okay, more ...

It would not let me upload anything larger but will see if I can post a larger version in the gallery. This is 8 months on T.

April, LOL, now you have seen this one. It is the only new one I have posted recently. Smartphones and technology take too much of this knight's time. And I am too stubborn to read directions or ask for help.

Here are a couple of my recent ones. The brown sweater pic is from my birthday dinner in February, and the other was from just a couple of weeks ago. I was showing off my new sweater set.

As far as progress, I've been on HRT about 18 months, have B cups that I'm quite satisfied with (especially with a padded bra :D), and am done for now with Laser Hair Removal. I need to lose about 10 pounds, but doesn't everyone (don't answer that, it was rhetorical).

Like, is my bro handsome as heck, or what?

Why do I have SUCH weakness for those swarthy dudes, anyway? I really do!

Dude!

April:

Girl, rock ON! When you're 2 years into HRT, you'll be in Babesville ... heck before then, actually! Seriously! Proud of ya, babes!

Dee Jay:

Dang, girl. Ya look like ya own the place! Heck, yeah!!!

Maria (Our Young 'un in Austraila):

Natural brainy babes pretend that they don't have the hots. To me, they ARE the hots! When YOU reach 2 years on HRT, oh, lawdy, lawdy, momma!:lol::lol:

Carolyn Marie:

Peace OUT, Girl!!! Don't taze me, hon. I'm complimenting ya ... bigtime!!! Lookin' GOOOOOD! Learned long ago NEVER to mess with The Heat! That saying's outta date, ain't it? Okay, okay. Sixties FOREVER, Girl!

Freaky  Lacey

Carolyn,

I like both pics but the one by the staircase is just lovely. So is your date taking you out for French or Spanish food. Pouring you a nice Chardonnay while you ponder your response. The Pinot is for the next celebration.

Lacey, thanks sis. I think the tanned look works for me LOL

John, looking good.

Carolyn, you have such wonderful taste. I love it. oh, and completely tangential. I saw an ad to show women how to drop 180lbs fast. It was for self defence. I loved it.

Dee Jay, ?

Thanks Amy.

Well, this is one photo that most of my friends commented on and LOL what you all said was pretty much the same. I will eventually get someone else to take a photo because cell-phone pics only capture so much.

I'll trade you my "C"'s for your "B"'s. My body is so straight that I feel like I'm top-heavy wearing breast forms. I'm guessing that HRT will take me as far as A, and that's okay. I've gone out presenting female with no breast forms on at all (which means no appreciable breasts either), and it feels good to leave the artifice behind. I've a sad few pictures to show, though there are a few in my gallery.

Kat, I also have gone out on many occasions sans any forms (and in a sports bra none the less) while presenting female. It works somehow, but I wouldn't rely on my reasoning as to why. I do have a 'C' bra that I wear on occasion, but I feel it looks a bit fake. Actually, I mostly go out in a sport bra and only sporting mascara and tinted moisturiser on my face, hair in a pony tail.

Lacey, like Kat said, lets get you out of the audience and onto the runway.

Well, my friends are out publicly. Openly transgender, and on HRT.  I agree that the survival of all of us is at stake.  But I think there are threats greater and more dangerous than those faced exclusively by LGBTQ folks.   Rising prices. Unaffordable food.  EPA strangling transportation and energy.  Needless foreign wars that put us at risk of literal nuclear annihilation.  A government that wants to tax us, track us, and control every aspect of our lives...including using us as guinea pigs for their medical experiments.     Trump is no savior.  Neither is the Republican party.  But I believe that a vote for Democrats in the federal government is for sure a vote for globalism and what follows it.  War, famine, plague, slavery, and death don't care if we're trans or cis.

People who are out publicly, and openly transgender, maybe on HRT, having changed names and gender, have a lot to lose if anti-trans politicians take power.  They have openly called for our eradication, and promise to do everything they can to accomplish this.  (again, 2025) For someone in this position the election is about our survival.  It's foolish to delude ourselves into thinking "Oh, they don't really mean that.  It's all for show," or, "There's other more important things to concern ourselves with." Maybe for some people the other things take priority.  But if you have skin in the game, things look different.

If that happens, a lot of things I don't want to see might also be codified into law.  And some things that shouldn't be law might not get repealed.  To me, progress in one area isn't worth the price we'd have to pay in several other areas.     For me, voting on LGBTQ issues always ends up as an "out of the frying pan, but into the fire" sort of event.

Trying out a new wig. Got my reading glasses on. I've also got dark roots now - first time in years.

Thea, your post made me think of a comic named Chloe Petts whom I saw recently on Hannah Gadsby's Gender Agenda comedy special on Netflix. She is a cisgender masculine lesbian. She is brilliant and so funny. I was intrigued by her identification - specifically masculine, not butch. And it seems to me there is a difference.

Today I had a dr appt. When I checked in, I was asked my surname, which I gave. Apparently there were two patients with appointments at that time with that same surname. The receptionist asked, "Are you (my legal name which is feminine) or Paul?" I got such a kick out of it not being assumed I had the feminine name.
    • Vidanjali
That must have felt affirming, albeit perhaps weirdly so. However, I'd construe that more broadly (no pun intended) as sexism rather than misogyny where the latter would imply contempt. Also, incidentally, I've heard chivalry referred to as "benevolent sexism".

My boss is in a panic. His business is a couple straws away from breaking a camel in half. He's just handling the stress very poorly.   My dad, though. He's handling things pretty well, as long as I continue to don't get massively offended by being called: son, boy, etc. His eldest is leaving the State and looks so different than he's been used to over the years. I haven't told him I'm on HRT, but to be fair the changes haven't been massive. I've always had boobs, more so after COVID weight gain and made more obvious with its loss, but now I'm not hiding them--and obviously wearing a bra. The estrogen has done some work, but nothing major (sadly). I think the biggest HRT changes have been my skin and a mild amount of fat redistribution.   Today I'm wearing my cheater, I almost have cleavage! :D I need to get another t-shirt bra to keep a good rotation. I only have two, one push-up, and the rest are unlined (great for Summer, but not great for my Summer wardrobe ).

I eat a ketogenic diet and have had no problems. I don't know about your case but I suspect it is the estrogen. Research the types of ways to take estrogen. Pay close attention to the bloodwork results. If they are not satisfactory, bring it up with your doctor. I take injectables, which are fully covered by insurance. It may not be the route for you, but something to consider. I emphasize to do your research and good luck. You can solve this. Be persistent.    Jennifer

I'm in a magenta blouse under a baby blue buttoned cardigan - still a little cool here in the northeast today - with dark blue jeans. Oh, and my favorite flame colored copper feather earrings.
