I head up to Dr Sherman Leis' office tomorrow for my pre operation consultation and to check into my apartment that I'll be in up until September 11th recovering.I also might be hearing back from a potential employer if I get the job that I interviewed for on last Thursday. Hopefully I hear back from them and I get the job. It would make me feel a lot better going into the hospital on Tuesday knowing I don't have to worry about the future after coming out of the hospital.

Congrats again Natalie. This next week will be a major step for you. I hope yours is better than mine was at first with the pain. Some girls are lucky enough to not have much pain at all and some like me have a hard time at it.

Good Luck and see you on the other side.

I'm checked into my apartment in dr. leis' building and stocked up on food for when I get back. I'm going to cook my food tonight so when I get back from the hospital I or my family just have to warm up my good for me.the apartment has wireless internet so when I get back to my room I'll provide an update.

In just a few minutes I go in for my preoperative consultation.

I heard back from the company I was interviewing for last week and was offered a position for more then I was making before I got laid off from my last job.

I'm feeling on top of the world right now. :)

Wow that is wonderful news Natalie. That is a major plus going into surgery. Now all you have to do is take the IV and leave the rest up to your doctor.

Natalie, congrats on the job and wishing you the best for surgery., see you on the other side.

I'm getting ready to head out to the hospital. I won't be able to provide any more updates until I return from the hospital on Friday,

Sorry about the lack of updates until now. I have been in the hospital and the surgery has been done. I was recovering at the hospital after my surgery on Tuesday and left my phone and laptop back at the apartment I was renting from Dr. Leis. The first night I was so out of it I slept the day away on morphine. The second day the nurses took me off of the morphine and I started taking Percocet for the pain.

My appetite was back on Wednesday I ate all of my food but then I had as major issue with gas caused by the food. Although having dealt with gas issues before I knew how to induce a major belch to clear out gas causing bloating. Basically you suck air in and burp. You keep doing this until a really long burp erupts and all the gas is cleared from the stomach. That isn’t to say it was easy because it wasn’t. I was almost to tears from the gas related pain last night.

I’ve been on a catheter since the surgery and still have mine. With the packing I can’t sit in a modest position on my bed. There are also these other two things that are collecting draining from the surgical area. I don’t know when these items come out of me.

Walking is awkward with the packing still in. I found that if I waddle like a penguin I can get around easier and if I go up sideways stairs are not too much of an issue. Although I am thankful I am on the first floor and only have to go up one flight of stairs if I leave the apartment and come back.

I haven’t been able to get a good look at myself just yet but it is just so great that I am over this mile stone. Anyways that is the news for today. I going to head back to bed now and take a nap.

Thank you Natie for the update. I am still worrying daily, but now its that the pain won't be too debilitating. You always said you were a girl, and now it's going to be pretty evident.

I know all to well what you are going through right now. It takes everything you have to just get out of bed without it hurting too much. My muscles in my arms definitely got a work out trying to hold myself up all the time. The blood drain is what I think you are talking about. They took mine out after a few days so yours should be anytime now.

Whatever you do take it easy as much as possible. I found laying down was the easiest and less painfull for me. The donut really didn't help all that much at first. You find even though it still hurts to sit down on the donut it is better than without.

Congrats on your surgery and hope you start to feel better soon.

Welcome to the other side Natalie, i am glad you got the gas out, mine came out the other end and was enough to light up Philadelphia, my drains were removed 3 days after surgery, i guess they take them out when the bleeding is just about stopped.

When is the packing and catheter going to be removed.

HUGS!

I know it's all worth it Natalie. You are on the other side of the mountain (to see what you can see). It now only gets better and completing the legal name change paperwork is next. Then you can live you life as the woman you are with little hastle.

Natie

Checking on you here. Please know 'woman' does not necessarily mean "superwoman." Be cautious? Baby steps maybe? Give it all time to heal and get less painful.

Like you didn't know that - grin.

This is also a relatively small forum and it can take a long time, seemingly, for someone to get around to replying to a post.

I am also pretty sure that several of them are folks who are "trans curious".  Sometimes folks who are trying to find their own identity, are attracted to trans folks or who are simply interested in the trans community.   There may also be some who wish to do us harm which is why ......... I've just learned to smile figuring "i'm on candid camera".   I'm sure many of our younger members never experienced that show so my age is showing.   Hugs,   Charlize

Most of those "guests" are web bots from China, Indonesia, France etc. looking us over. They are mostly benign.  All they can see or gain access to are the general forums.  Members should be careful not to post anything that could readily identify themselves such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. They do not have access to our gallery, blogs or private messenger. They seem to haunt all forums. Not just us. I should add that they can make us known across the internet. That's how prospective members find us. Google would be a good example.

Heck I didn't even know they could go up that high! I just have a four burner and one to keep stuff warm. What kind of pies did you make?

That's all the matters.   Well me and the wife rode to Perkins for breakfast. As we were waiting for our food. Being it is Sunday There are a few gentleman in suits, my guess from church. I think to myself. I hope I never have to wear one of those monkey suits ever again. Now a nice dress maybe.   Hugs,   Kymmie

From time to time I've looked at 'Who Is Online" and I have consistently noticed that members are ALWAYS outnumbered by Guests by a wide margin, sometimes, like a minute ago, by more than a 10:1 margin.  I have never seen that before on an internet forum.  It can be explained partly by the nature of what this is, that it draws the curious and they are certainly welcome to read here, and to join, but it leaves me with a feeling of being in a fishbowl.  I wonder who ARE these people?  Donald Trump, is that you? Biden? Sinwar? Putin?  We can only guess.

So from time to time my brain gets a hold of information and puts it together with other information in weird way that get me thinking. I was reading about a nudes cruise that they are running out if Miami. It got me thinking that a transgendered person who is also a naturalist, has to be one of the most unlucky people alive. How does one manage that and does that ever come up? Not trying to make fun here, just genuinely curious. Things that make you go hmmmm....

No luck there, really. She's getting a signing bonus plus a little extra that I don't think would cover much in the way of the move, but it is something!   Oh my! I am glad to hear you're not passing anymore blood. I hope they figure it out soon! How distressing!   @April Marie @KymmieL @Mirrabooka @Willow @Justine76, thank you for the kind words and thoughts! We told our best friends last night. There were many tears. Now it's all about the work: selling the house (my wife's friend's son said he may want to buy it direct!), a job (a former employee of mine wants to bring me over to his company--and they're based outside of Tacoma!), and moving (just started going through what we don't want bring and donating things). So things have kicked off.   I'm not so sure of the job, it would be good to work with my former employee (he's great) but I fear the culture may not be super welcoming to someone like me--and the guy doesn't know I'm trans in any way. But I'll give it a shot as my authentic self and see what happens!

@LadypcnjI'm sorry. I know the feeling my mom thinks I'm going through a phase too although I didn't come out till April 17, 2023, so it was later in life. I was in denial majority of my life. I would love to hear more about this if you are comfortable sharing more of it.

I love fashion. I have over 100 dresses and 74 pairs of shoes. My walk-in closet is full of other clothes as well. I'm getting more shorts soon. SHEIN is awesome for quality and price. Just when you get a leather coat from them it's just the shell not the liner. Most of my shoes are from Torrid because I wear size 13 women's.

Unfortunately Oklahoma is about as bad as Texas but definitely not as bad as Florida. Especially as a minor!
