Eyebrow Waxing: A Real Confidence Builder

Ladies: I went way too long between "treatments" but finally dragged my silly butt over to the nail salon yesterday. If you have never had your brows done, I am here to tell you it can make a dramatic difference in how you feel about your appearance, even so far as enhancing your self confidence and self esteem.

I don't have caterpillars growing above my eyes, nor do I look like Andy Rooney. My brows are light grey and somewhat sparse, but after several months, they still get unkempt and unattractive, and don't look good even with eyebrow pencil or gel.

After 10 minutes, a little hot wax and a little pain, the technician reapplied the brow pencil, and when I looked in the mirror, I broke into a grin that stayed there for 20 minutes. OMG, they were arched and tapered to a fine point, and looked oh-so feminine.

Ten bucks was never better spent. Get thee to thy salon, m'ladies. Thou shan't regret it.

I agree! Eyebrows can make a big impact on your appearance and fabulous brows can actually make other women jealous.

Now the real test is making sure you maintain those lovely arches between sessions. Remember, tweezing stops being painful eventually.

(and one little wording advice: remember ladies: You don't pluck your brows. You pluck a chicken, you tweeze your brows.)

I have to totally agree with you. Eyebrows can make a huge difference and impact, not only to the way you look but definitely the way you feel.

Since I'm still living male and having Electrolysis on my face (Just hit hour 34!) My eyebrows are awful. I can't wait to have my Electrolysist take care of them for me. I'd love to tweeze a bit to tidy them up but I'd rather have my electrolysist just kill the yucky old hairs and be done with them... forever!

I have mine done every two weeks by my electro girl. Two seconds, hot wax, rip, a few plucks and I'm golden. I love the smooth feel and the tight lines. It's worth every cent and the pain is minimal.

Hi Carolyn,

My electrologist is doing mine for good! My vision problems makes it impossible to see those little monsters, so I'm having them permanently shaped. She cleared almost all of it in a 45-minute session last time, and will only have to catch the regrowth as it happens. Yippee!

Any way it's done, it's a must! GG's do it too, but even more necessary for us male-bodied sort...
