I've still got some fruit cake left from Christmas...don't drop it on your feet. And I'm bringing out my Jim Nabors CDs and a six pack of Yoohoo. Lets get this party started again or this thing really will die.

Ok Kim I woud love to join your little party and try to put some life back into this thread.

Anyone here remember Mitch Miller? Well let's all gather together around this 52" flat screen TV while I play thes old recordings of "Sing Along with Mitch" and we can all sing along.

Okay I was going to drop in for while but I'll wait till Mitch is done. Love ya Janice but old Mitch always could drive me right out of a room. Or a house. At least it wasn't Lawrence Welk

Ooh! We could have a poetry slam!

One of us could recite some arrhythmic, impenetrably vague verses while each half of the room alternates between grooving to it and looking grumpy! Then I can have too many caipirhinas and start ad-libing off William Topaz McGonagall lines while half the room jeers and the other half laughs!

Let's make some repressed memories!

He was on TV? I had to google him. I'd be waiting for him to pull rabbits and things from his beard if I were watching him and wouldn't pay attention to the music.

OK, some arrhythmic, impenetrably vague verses by Sally Michelle Jackson.

The Moon rises in the West tonight

Four winds not enough

Tides run counter to the shore

Dogs and cats exchange dirty looks

Lions and lambs share a flock

Breathing is but a quite snore

Shimmering gold is in the air

As the Sun burns brightly giving no light

The goldfish vacates his bowl

And now as Midnight has slipped softly by

The Moon blood red is growing dim

And now I end this mournful dirge

For it is but the ramblings of tired mind

There - that ought to kill it!

Love ya,

Sally

So it comes to this:

Twas brillig, and the slithy toves

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;

All mimsy were the borogoves,

And the mome raths outgrabe.

Nobody tried the fruitcake??? Its homemade not store bought. My aunt is a chain smoker so the ashes give it a nice mesquite flavor. And there are plenty of red squishy bits and green squishy bits in it.

The Sneeze

I sneezed a sneeze into the air

It fell to the earth I know not where

But hard and froze were the looks of those

In whose vicinity I snoze.

If you took the w in answer, the h in ghost, the extra a in aardvark, and the t in listen you could say what but no one would be able to hear you because the whole word would be silent!

Sorry Kim I only eat white fruitcake soaked in rum. But thanks for the offer

Janice-here is a complete set of The Smothers Brothers and in the interest of recapturing my lost youth I also brought along Sonny & Cher and Laugh In. Was I ever really that young?

OK, I'll agree with most of this. But that second a in aardvark is not 'extra'. The aardvark suffers from esteem issues and it was thought that they'd be crushed to be listed behind the ant in the dictionary.

Oh! That's my aunt then. She's caucasion, and usually pretty pickled around the holidays. And she says she puts a little of herself into everything she bakes, but we tell

her to use a hairnet. So it's almost like each piece is a little scavenger hunt too.

She usually sleeps upside down in a tree or a belfry, but that's not important right now.

Lizzy

Lizzy, she usually sleeps upside down in a tree - she has bats in her belfry and therefore can no longer sleep there.

Love ya,

Sally

I used to get ma'am'ed during my 45 years of boy-mode and it drove me nuts.    Now that I have accepted girl-mode I find it quite pleasant.    Either way, being miss gendered is quite disturbing. I upon a rare occasion might get sir'ed by strangers and it's quite annoying.

Good morning Ash,    Welcome to TransPulseForums, I have a young neighbor who plays several brass instruments who lives behind my house. He is always practicing and I could listen to them for hours, well I guess I have listened to them for hours, and my favorite is when they play the low tones on the French Horn.    Best wishes,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Good morning everyone,    I had my first cup of coffee this morning with my wife, my second was a 20oz travel mug on the way to the airport. Once clearing TSA, I bought another 20oz to pass the time at the boarding gate. I’m flying Indy to Baltimore, then driving to Wilmington, DE for my last teaching engagement at the DE State Fire School.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

In my opinion, the gender neutral version of sir or ma'am is the omission of such honorifics.   "Excuse me, sir" becomes simply, "Excuse me", or better yet, "Excuse me, please."   "Yes, ma'am" becomes "Yes", or depending on the context, "Yes, it would be my pleasure" or "Yes, that is correct."   Else, to replace it with a commonly known neutral term such as friend, or credentialed or action-role-oriented term depending on the situation such as teacher, doctor, driver, or server.   And learn names when you can. It's a little known fact that MOST people are bad with names. So if you've ever told someone, "I'm bad with names", you're simply affirming you're typical in that way. A name, just like any other factoid, requires effort to commit to memory. And there are strategies which help.

@KymmieL it’s as if our spouses are two sides of the same coin. We never know which side will land up. Loving or Disliking.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

almost 45 min later. Still in self pity mode. I cannot figure out my wife. I shared a loving post on Facebook to my wife. Today she posts, you are my prayer. Yet, last week she puts up a post diragitory towards trans people. Does she not relate to me being trans?   ???

Hi Vivelacors!!  Like everyone else said, it is never too late to be you. It does feel too late at times but we can still enjoy our femininity every day, moment by moment!!                                                  💗 Cynthia

Well we have the white rain, about 2 inches. Work is still terrible, with me making stupid little mistakes. Yet, to the boss it is the end of the world. Still on the hunt for another.   life just still sucks for me. I just wish I could be happy for a day. I'd even settle for a couple hours.   Kymmie
