Stepped into the MAC store at the mall

Today I need a few things from the MAC store. My wife joined me and I was in guy mode. So the sales lady who was wearing way too much makeup asked my wife if she could help her. So my wife told her we needed foundation match. So she asked her what she was using now. Then I said no not for her it's for me. With out skipping a beat she asked me what I was using now. LOL Then proceeded to take care of me as he would an other woman.

And the family declares bankruptcy tomorrow!! It is fun when your worries seem to go on vacation. The big name cosmetics stores in urban areas are very cool with us, and one of the sales force at the ULTA store near me is a trans man who makes no bones about it. Lots of fun and help.

The first time I went in Saphora, in guy mode, I was with a friend and she was asking the sales associate about some eyebrow pencils. After that I told her that I recently came out that I believe I'm a transwoman and wanted to inquire about getting help picking out makeup. Sometimes it's a small world! She proceeds to tell me that she has a transboyfriend and goes to the transgender support meetings I was planning on starting to attend in a couple of weeks. So after going back there a week later and getting a makeover, I saw her again at the meeting where she got to critique how well I did my makeup.

MAC is wonderful and very trans friendly. I have had many makeovers there and I have my own sales lady who helps my with colors and techniques. I really enjoy going there as they are very supportive. They will welcome you with open arms

MAC is my personal favorite. I have been to several - in the beginning , in male mode. They are very very transfriendly and their products are EXCELLANT!

A wonderful lady mentioned some cosmetics from MAC at Dillard's. About half my makeup is from Clinique at Macy's. The rest is from Target and Sally's. Undoubtedly the Target and Sally's portion will grow the more I know what I'm looking for. You have to know your makeup when shopping at Target. You rarely find someone to help you.

BTW I was told in a makeup session from the support group that Jack Black from Sephora's is very good shaving cream for your face.

Love,

Jenny
