I have had enough of this (censored word) sick of being fat , going to eat under 1000 calories a day ( i know that i should eat more than that but i don't care ) and try and exercise more

i find it really hard to exercise because of my back and hip pain ( i hurt my back and hip the same day that i met my husband sliding from the bath room to the phone i slipped and landed on my hip been having pain since and i have seen a dr about it ) i can only do steps and weights and swimming right now i don't have anything i can wear for swimming at the moment .

I don't care if it kills me am i going to get down to an acceptable weight am sick of not being able to fit into trousers and only wearing joggys

I have done nothing in the last week or so but eat (censored word) and i have put on weight

Am sick of being the fat one .

i would be able to get clothes that fit me if i was thin

Its --Censored Word-- about time that i need to work harder than i have before.

getting around the word filter by ***ing out some of the letters of a word is just as against the rules as using the word it's self

Alexx hey don't be so hard on yourself . I lost 70 kg and that was by eating the proper calories I was actually eating more . I exercised in the water and did weight and a bit of cardo as my fittest went up . It's best done the proper way or else ur body's metabolism don't work properly . It thinks ur starving it so it goes into sleep mood . Look at how many calories is right for u by ur weight and height and work on that . U will be surprised by the results

Mate I understand feeling desperate to loose weight by any means necessary, especially when a physical problem stops you from being able to exercise as much as you want, seriously cutting your calories is not the way to do it though. Did you know that eating under 1200 for a female body type and slightly more for a male body type (I'm sorry I don't know whether you are on T yet and I think that is part of what converts your body from needing a females calorie amount to a males amount...although I'm not 100% certain so maybe someone who does know can fill in those facts for sure for me) actually causes your body to go into starvation crisis mode and can cause it to retain fat and lose muscle mass instead (muscle mass is what boosts your fat burning ability) so you can actually end up putting ON weight instead of losing it?

I've fought that cycle for years and I actually found that when I started eating MORE calories (healthy ones in nutritious food up to 1200 a day and spread through 3-4 meals) was when I finally started losing weight! Unfortunately, I've struggled to maintain the weight loss because my ability to exercise is so limited so I do understand and feel for you 100%

My advice would be to try to get something to swim in and do as much of that as you can manage because it's a non-weight bearing form of exercise that is best for injuries like you have. I know that swimming as a transman can feel uncomfortable because of the what to wear issue and how exposed your body is in whatever you wear and the which changing room issue. It's something I struggle with too. I have found a small pool in a gym that is often empty and find that minimises the problems as much as possible.

As far as what to wear...I know there is a swim binder from underworks which I really want to get but I can't afford that right now so all I could come up with is men's swim shorts and on the top one of those female tankini things in a reasonably non girly colouring. It's not idea but for now it works well enough that I can overcome the dysphoria with the thought that I am working towards loosing the weight that accentuated the female curves and working to get my body as healthy as possible for the day I can finally get T and top surgery!

I have heard of other guys wearing rash guards or a normal binder with a t-shirt over it (although I'm not sure if they would let you in a lot of pools around here with a t-shirt or something that didn't look like swim wear).

If you can't manage swimming then try to stick to the weights you say you can do and maybe some hand cycling or something for cardio. I try to do that sometimes when my upper body is not too painful and unstable with my disability and I think it works out ok even though I don't lose weight as fast as my partner who is able to do a full body work out does.

Basically try to work with what you've got exercise wise but please don't damage your body with seriously restricting calories. It probably wont work anyway and even if it did it would gradually weaken your body and make it less able to work for you in your transition.

i feel like i need to purge after i eat but if my husband herd me he would stop me ....i know i should eat normally every time i do its ends in a binge and i cant seem to be able to just stick to under the daily amount with the 1000 calorie i feel like am in control of what goes into my body

The exercise are really slow at moving the weight and i end up giving up are a few weeks of doing it ...unsure what to do about that i just dont have the motivation after a while of doing it ...am not on T yet ...am also worried that it will make me gain even more weight so am not sure if am going to go on t or what ...

As for swimming i cant afford a trans mans swimming binder right now .. i need to see what i can do about as for the changing rooms i get change in the disabled toilet shower room/ changing room ...i have yet i even go in the mens toilet when am out and about

am not in guy mode full time yet unsure when i will be i have yet to come out to the rest of my family

ill try and eat more normally

Alexx the reason you are hungry is that the vast majority of people need a minimum of 1200 calories a day to keep their body functioning. When you get less than that on a consistent basis then your body chemistry changes and your body holds on to every molecule of fat it can. You get food cravings and lose energy.

In order to avoid that while I was losing the 200 lbs I lost I took one day a week and ate whatever I wanted without feeling guilty about it. Worked like a charm for me. Also gave me the energy to exercise because I didn't go into starvation mode and I never binged because I was not being told to do so by a body that thought it was starving and had to cram any food it found. Primitive responses from our evolution as hunter/gatherers and almost impossible to circumvent for long. That is why the studies have proven that the fattest people are those who diet most and restrict calories the most.

You have enough to deal with and fight without fighting your own body in a battle that physiology has determined you will ultimately lose, Yes you can lose weight restricting calories below 1200 and suffering but eventually it will not only come back but you will gain more AND you will not be able to eat as much as before without gaining weight because you have changed your metabolism. That is hard scientific fact. The good news is that you can reset your metabolism with 15 min a day of cardio exercise-walking fast or whatever exercise you enjoy -and healthy eating. You'll feel better mentally and emotionally too because the exercise relaxes muscles and releases endorphins while being really in control of eating feels great. Powerful.

It helps to track everything you eat every day except your eating day as well as your exercise. I use livestrong.com's Myplate feature which is free, And though I am no longer wanting to lose I still do it because of the sense of control over my body and eating it gives me.

By the way I lost almost all that weight while on T. Yes it made me a bit more hungry but also upped my stamina for exercise and made me enjoy exercising far more than I ever had. I hate formal exercising so I hike every day-I hike 3 hours but that was because my age made it much harder to lose weight -for most people it isn't necessary. What is necessary is to find an exercise you like. I used to set my exercise bike up in front of the TV and only let myself game when I rode but found I prefer hiking and it worked better for me

Good luck with the weight loss. Be healthy and be safe with it and it feels great

when am eating normally i eat things like chips( french fries ) ,veggie burgers ( there 90 calories ) veggie 1/4 pounders ( there 250 calories ) and other veggie soup , v bean and veggie sausages , macaroni ...once a week take away witch is 1/2 pizza and chips or a veggie burger with chips , chocolate and crisps ( 75 calories for the crisps) yogurt and cereal

when am not eating right i have veggie burgers , half the amount of chips or have veggies , rice cakes ( 30 calories etc ) slim a soup ( 75 calories ) and salad , yogurt

So i need to eat more of the not eating right stuff to my normal stuff ... and not eat chocolate or crisps ( chips )

apart from once a week when i get my take out i can get a baked potato instead of chips and pizza or chips and veggie burger have cereal and yogurt ( i don't like milk )

I will track everything that i eat and exercise that i do ...and hopefully i can lose some weight

Had a customer bring in her Subie for struts. I ordered fronts. later yesterday, the boss called me into the shop. the proceeds to say I ordered the wrong ones, the fronts instead of rears. Then today I got looking I did order the right ones the first time. All the paper work that I have says front even the last work order said fronts. I told the other boss. So, Have I gotten a sorry from the boss. Ha, ha, not yet. I am doubting I will ever get one.   Oh, well. life goes on.   Kymmie

While I agree with a lot of the campaign personally, I don't think a government-mandated reduction in childbirth is really necessary. As a young person, I hardly know anyone who wants to be a parent in the future. I think a lot of people will either be waiting a while or not having kids at all, meaning that the number of kids being born will probably decrease. Overcrowding's also mostly an urban issue -- plenty of places in rural America have plenty of space for both people and growing food.    Of course, everyone sees things differently, so I won't necessarily say you're wrong. I just think my generation is a lot less inclined to the family mindset than some that came before us.

To me, it sounds like a solution searching for a problem.  I believe in the Russian perspective, that oil is abiotic and likely under every part of the Earth's surface.  There's plenty.  "Peak oil" and "climate" are excuses for government control.   As for roads, we use asphalt because tar and bitumen are a byproduct of fuel production, not the other way around.  Asphalt is not a great material, really.  It can also be recycled somewhat and used again.  Notice how road crews grind down existing asphalt into powder? Concrete is a better material for roads.  But in areas like where I live, very little of our roads are paved.  Gravel is a luxury, and a lot of roads are mud.  Same in many "developing" nations.  Pavement is better for transport, but its not like we would die without it.  Lack of pavement might actually be a good thing, as people might stay home more and food might be grown locally instead of relying on transportation.  It would stop this wacky idea of growing everything in California.     I believe the big crisis we face is globalism and government control.  Proposing some scheme to control our families? That's just more of the same.  Even if folks managed to get enough votes (or rig enough elections) to get the power to do that, it won't be as VP or president of the USA in its current 50-state form.

Very cool. I've been clumsily navigating the world of makeup so this may help. Some of the tutorials on YouTube are so advanced, they may as well be speaking Klingon :P

I've realized that our laptops are using much less plastic than they used to.  They are smaller devices that use less raw materials and are easier to ship and hold up better in shipping than bigger computers with removable parts.  They seem to have gotten rid of the overheating/fan problem for the most part, but there is a performance hit for that.  I use a 10yo desktop computer with a moderate level gaming video card to run 3 monitors.  I'm a producer though and most consumers have no need for that.   I really haven't watched TV since the 80's.  I spend some time researching on the internet and then I spend a lot of time meditating on the objects in my environment and on the streets.  From living on the streets for a year, I've learned that people can say anything and can control you, but the laws of physics and mathematics are outside of that and really even transcend time itself.  After people would not support my music, I built my life as a software engineer based on mathematics and engineering.  I've had a moderately successful career with that and have written code for many different industries.   The problem with stopping oil usage is that if we still need the bitumen to pave our roads and shingle our houses, then what do we do with the gas when we refine it?  There are natural deposits of bitumen, but you know, with so many people out there, demand is huge and we are using this stuff up.  If you grow corn for corn syrup, then what do you do with the cobs?  We've shipped coffee and bananas all over the world.  We took material from those environments.  What do we do now?  How long can it last?

I think that threats that can be proven should be incarcerated for half the sentence of the one they would commit if carried out.  Lies unfortunately are just words unless as you stated if not under oath.
    • Ivy
I think it depends on where and how it's happening. We also need safe places where, the perhaps more easily intimidated, can feel free to express themselves.     And what about threats of violence?  Can this lead to a place where only the violent can have this freedom?  Is it "free speech" to threaten and intimidate opposing views into silence?  I mean maybe, if I can say anything - "if you don't shut up I'll kill you."   Or spreading lies?  (perhaps about an election). Lying is okay, unless you're under oath - for what that's worth.   Censoring books in schools?  That was fine until the bible was included.  (there is some nasty stuff in there) Then, there's what used to be that free speech birdie place.  You can denigrate queer people all you want, but "cis" is a slur, and prohibited?  Free speech as long as I like it? And let's not go into court cases and gag orders. Porn?

I have noticed when anyone speaks against their though process they don't like it no matter what sided. Republicans are quick to defend Trump when he's not professional and treats his employees like crap. One employee didn't get paid at all and then he had the nerve to say that he would sue the worker. He already has a model as his wife and still goes after other women. Biden gets lost quicker than a 2nd Lieutenant gets lost at land navigation. Not to mention his open border policy which is flooding the country and can't even take care of the American citizens that we have now. I could go on about both sides. I personally don't get mad at anything someone says to me. I know it's not true so I'm over it before it even starts. You have to have thick skin.
