i have been doing something to day that i have not done i a really long time . looking at pictures of post op vajay jays , surgical results specifically. a site i was on listed many surgons , Big namers as well as ones i have never heard of . in total prolly like 150 images sent to these surgons by thier patients , thats alot of vag to look at in a day " now i know what a gyno must feel like "

the one thing i find kinda startling , is just how bad most of them look. mind you most of the images seemed to have been taken less than a month post op , but even the further out ones ( 6 months post op was the longest i could find ) still looked rather narly. many looked like a cat that had been hit on the road and left in the sun for waaaay to long. ( side note many prolly should have trimmed up before thier post op photo shoot )

now onto my question , does any one have a link to srs results that do not look like they came out of a horror film ? more so ones that have had more than a few months of healing under their belt and even more so ones that do not look as though they are trying to obscure the results behind a small hedge ? ( un believable amounts of pubic hair )

I realize it is good to see the various stages of healing , but nearly all i have come across are in thier earliest stages . ( severly infected or swollen ) and the ones further along...... again the bush. seems more like they are trying to hide it. ( or the images are just really old 60s to 80s )

i am not detoured from my need for it, but i would like one that looks quasi normal and the end results i have seen thus far. just...... damn.

You sure about that request, Sakura? I've seen my share of road kill, and I'm not squeamish, but it seems like you're asking for more than the average share of "yukkie."

Oh, and no, I don't have a link to share with you, sorry. ;)

LOL that's happening to me too. . Lol I might have my surgery with Dr. Alter so I went on his website, and I'm horrified! I think maybe? Possibly? All vagina look. . . Odd?? I'm a bit scared now to get srs, because YES all the pictures look BLAHHHHHHHHH, that's were I go bulimic. Kidding, kidding, kidding ki. .nda. Anyway most of the pictures I saw, were of people much older, like MUCH, I'm only 17! So what I might look like down there will definitely be different. Also skin color! I'm worried because some had brown and uhhhhhhhh. . . Anyway I would like pictures that aren't horrifying

i spoke to my mother about these concerns lastnight and linked her to these sites you all supplied. while me and her both agree that there is no such thing as a pretty vagina , even she was quite startled by the look of most of them, they don't look quite right , as aly stated mostly the coloration with them. seems ... off ?

i am aware that surgical and healing results will vary. even with my breast augmentation it took almost a full year for them to start settling and looking right. also they were discolored a bit by the bruising for 2-3 months . but now 3 years later. my friends that know i have had it done , are blown away by how natural they look . the only thing that has ever been said is that they look a little perkeir than a rack of that size and my realitve age should look . b ut agree they wished theirs look as good .

and in the end the final result and how natural it looks is my only concern . form and aesthetic are as important to me as function. and while i and my mom admit that some of the results do look decent enough, her " wow that one looks better than mine " others , me and her again agree we would totally flip the freak out , if mine or hers looked as bad as some of them .

and as aly said, it has gotten me a tad bit concerned over the surgery, the better looking ones seem to not be atypical results . and i have to admit it has me nervous......... my main fear is , i don't want my husband to feel like he is sticking his penis into chewbaccas mouth ever time we have sex.

Sakura,

I moreorless have to agree with you. I'm looking at possible SRS surgeons right now myself, and the pics on all of the well-known doc's sites aren't that impressive. They look "off" as best I can put it. Maybe too flat and not enough definition or dimension to them? Both my mom and brother commented on the same thing. The other thing I find worriesome is that these pics posted on all the docs sites are obviously their best cosmetic results (at least that what be my guess)... And now I don't think I want to see the worst ones.

I still will be having SRS sometime early next year... But this does instill me with a bunch of confidence going in.

Keep in mind that all those photos need consent from the patient to display. How many people are comfortable having their privates photographed, knowing they'll be publicly displayed, even if it is anonymously? I know I certainly wouldn't be.

I personally don't have a problem with it... and actually I will be allowing my surgeon to use the pics of my completed bottom surgery on their website. I feel it's the least I can do to give prospective patients an idea of what lies ahead.

On the positive side, of the few MTF post-ops I've met in real-life... their results have been much better than the pics I've seen posted on any site. So there is some hope out there. :)

Yeah. uhhh, just, what. Some of these results.. IT'S... ALIIIIIIIIVE!

Doesn't deter me a single bit though. I mean, they may look like a roadkill cat, but a penis looks like a mutant alien chicken, so either way, it's ugly stuff.

Please do not take this as being critical, I'm trying to be constructive.

1. Pictures won't be as good as actually seeing results first hand.

2. Woman come in all sizes, shapes and colors down there. And by and large men just don't care. The only thing they care about is whether they can get into it.

3. Related to #2: Realistic expectations. I swear a lot of transsexual women seem to have it stuck in their mind that there is only one way that a vulva should look like. Poppycock! Diversity rules.

This is what all my cis-gender female friends and relatives have told me. A friend of mine, who is female, when discussing this topic with her, said "I honestly don't remember the last time I looked at mine... and men don't care at all. Really.". So.... hopefully I'll have the same experience.

LOL, I don't really care what men might think of it, I want it for me.

I've seen very attractive work, and I've seen some that aren't so attractive. If memory serves, Dr. Suporn has photos on one of his sites, and the results are very stunning in many cases. I've seen others as well. I want to say one of them was Dr. Brassard, but I can't say for sure because his website got an overhaul a few years back and there don't seem to be any now.

I don't really have a huge world view to compare and contrast because I haven't spend a whole lot of time staring at vaginas. Off of surgical/medical sites there is a feeling of exploitation to me. And on the site someone had to give their permission for the pic so they're prob happy with it and it ended their pain. So I guess it's like with people's babies. Yes there are some that might stop a clock, but I'm not gonna tell anyone that. I keep that to myself. I have looked but its more like staring at the sun where I'll stay around the edges.

Another case were I must be the outlier because obviously I don't want antenna growing down there or anything like that. Just something in the ballpark.

And I agree with the comments above. In my 40 plus years hanging out in guyville, I can not one time remember a guy talking about how odd a girl's vagina looked that they were dating.

I agree strongly with points 2 and 3. While point 1 has some merit, the surgeons do have opportunity to choose which pictures they choose to put on their web site. Thus the pics being shown couldl very well represent the better looking pics they had to choose from.

while i will agree that men don't typically care where they stick it, dose not mean they do not have an opinion about the quality of it once they have stuck it in there. " Man i banged the crap outta that chick, but she had some meat curtains , it was like two piece of balonga " or " yeah she was pretty but that thing was so loose it was like throwing a base ball bat down a hall way" or " i was gonna go down on her but when i got there, it looked like it had been 12 rounds with mohamed ali " things i have heard my male friends say about women they have slept with. ....... i could go on. but i won't.

and again i agree that there is no cookie cutter mold to make them either. but i do not believe it to be an unrealistic expectation , to be concerned about the quality and apperance of a cosmetic surgery , that is going to likely cost several thousand dollars to obtain

and more so it does not challenge my resolve to get it. i wouldn't by a car on word of mouth alone , with out seeing it , nor will i spend 15 20 to nearly 30 thousand dallors on something that i am going to be stuck with for life . with out checking out all the dealers the various models and out comes first.

Sakura, I think your original post here may be one of the most amazing I have ever read anywhere...

It works on so many levels... imagery, metaphor, conveying legitimate concern, and...candor. Most impressive. I'm glad I stopped by to read this thread. Even the title caught my attention. Well done!

Btw, I hope your concerns are addressed to your satisfaction.

Also, when I find myself admiring the human form, both female and , increasingly, male.... The genitalia are rarely erotic in and of themselves. Lets face it, many works of art are nothing without being well mounted, er, framed ;)

Meat curtains... yep heard that one before. I prefer roadkill soft taco... but I digress... ^_^

I've been going through the same experience over the last several months showing pretty much all of my close friends and relatives (and just about anyone who won't get too freaked-out or grossed out) pics of vaginoplasty results on all the major SRS surgeons websites to gauge their input. None of the pics that I've seen look ideal or perfect IMHO. Most are far from it. But then again, so do most of the genitals of most genetic females (that aren't airbrushed or photoshopped). There is a wide variation out there. Taste the rainbow so to speak ;).

Also you have to remember that no matter how great some pics may look on a surgeon's site... there is no guarantee that your individual results will be similar. They could be better, worse, or the same. There are way too many variables to guarantee something like this. Yes, by looking at pics you can weed out some docs (which I have done myself), but other than that it really is a crap shoot.

The last and final option to consider is what many call "labiaplasty" or revision surgery. Meaning that if you really are NOT pleased with the final outcome of the original procedure, more work may be needed. I've found this is mostly done to fix, correct, or change the appearance of the labia (majora) as that's the big part of the enchilada... cosmetically speaking.

I wish there was an easier way to make this sort of decision... but there isn't.

I wonder if this is regional or other factors. I've worked construction for over two decades. These guys can't go to a McDonalds without sexualizing the women working the register. I've never heard talk like that. And I've heard plenty that made me slip quietly out of the room.

Well I guess at the end of the day they're all saying pretty much the same things anyway. Just depends on how or where they were raised.

I have personally seen McGinn, Meltzer and Bower's results. Bowers did mine and I could not be happier; looks great and functions perfectly. While some may not be pleasing, those I have seen are with the exception of an early Biber result. I have not seen any results from the Asian Drs.

I'm also a Bowers alum. Yes the first few months it looked a little gnarly, but by the time of my first anniversary, it looked perfect. When my GG gf and I stand naext to each other in the bathroom mirror naked, you can't tell us apart. Looks and feels totally natural.

I read the postulation as: “what if <insert social media company> was charged by government agencies or congress to create algorithms to identify, collect information on, and for reporting on LGBTQ+ people? So as to target them for “reasons”.”   This would be infringement of a few protections in the Constitution & Bill of Rights, but given government’s history with shady surveillance practices we wouldn’t know anything about it until it was likely in use. Probably in the realm of a suspense novel, but we know algorithms used for suggesting content already can identify people’s proclivities—even when they don’t have a clue themselves. So the tech is there, it’s just the dark room conspiracy that would be missing.

How insidious would it be for them to take it easy on the LGB as a strategy to try to create a fracture between the TQ+? There’s enough of the “drop the T” nonsense out there that they could leverage.   I’m happy the FLA folx are getting some reprieve though!

I note that most of the "backing off" touted in the article concerns Gay and Lesbian rights.  Nothing so far about the anti-trans laws and regulations that DeSantis and his ilk have gotten approved.  The only saving graces for our community in Florida have been in the courts.  So, as the saying goes, I'll believe it when I see it.   Carolyn Marie

It's kind of like the very slow recovery after a devastating hurricane (which mercifully I've not lived through). Rainbows do tend to appear post-storm.    About the Don't Say Gay settlement. Teachers are now allowed to talk about LGBTQIA+ stuff & to be LGBTQIA+, as long as it's not part of the curriculum. So still no formalized education allowed.    The overall impression on the culture of Florida and its influence on US and world culture has had its effect. I do consider myself an optimist and a realist, and do not mean to seem pessimistic. It is good that DeSantis has cooled his jets to whatever extent he has. But the collateral damage here (and by extension elsewhere) is palpable. Yes, people rejoice - we can gather once more and celebrate pride. But it seems to require more guts than just a few years ago bc so many h8ers have been enabled and empowered by policies and demonizing rhetoric over the last few years.    The wonderful thing about hurricane recovery, returning to that comparison, is that it often brings out the very best virtues in people such as compassion, kindness, generosity, and a deeper sense of fellowship and goodwill.

I am not completely sure what you mean here.  To be "held responsible" means that they have been investigated and brought to justice by any number of legal and financial means.  That would be a good thing, and has been done recently in a case for slander and libel where the organization agreed to pay its victims many millions of dollars.  In that case the victims were NOT Trans, but the platform was "held responsible". If you mean simply "found to be responsible" by evidence obtained from various credible sources, then of course there are options for the victims to pursue to "hold them responsible" in monetary or terms of personal freedom of the officers.  There are many such organizations that do foster hatred of our community and we have taken different forms of action which includes exposing their hatred and intentions to other public media.  It is not a "what if" the groups do this, it is done regularly.  As long as they are deemed to be private and not government supported, the best we can do is avoid such places.  If the site is Government Supported, then there is a chain of legal events that one or many legal organizations that support the Trans Community can bring actions to have corrected via the Courts or other agencies as dictated by law.

Happy Memorial day. As a veteran of the armed forces. I know the sacrifice that has been given by others like me. Each and every service member signs the check up to and including my life, payable to the Untied States of America. Some have had this check cashed, either in battle or because of it. Today we honor those men and woman.   It is sad that some people just think it is a extra day off to raise hell and get drunk.   Today I honor my father and brother in law, two uncles, and all of those I have met while in uniform, who have passed.     Hugs to all.   Kymmie
