My surgery

I went to Dr. Marcy bowers in trinidad, i was able to go on my birthday. I took with me to friends that are nurses and we traveled in a class A motorhome. What a fun trip the motor home had a wierd electical short, it liked to short a night so the head lights did not work. What fun the first night on the road driving in to new mexico with a flash light. After that we stopped driving at night.

I was told i was the first person to drive in a motorhome. it was also very nice to lay down all the way home instead of trying to sit in an airplaine seat. Question to those who flew home was sitting in that airplaine seat as uncomfortable as i thought it would be.

I remember feeling very normal when i woke up. I had been castrated for many years so i had very little pain but there was morphine. I had to have a skin graft from shrinkage, i choose to have the fake skin, i've had grafts taken for burns and learned they hurt for months and leave a big scare for long time.

About shrinkage by the time i got to surgery after 28 years on hormone and 10+ years castrated there was a lot of shrinkage and i only had enough skin to build the outside parts of my vagina i got to get fake skin inside. After six years i have had no trouble other than bladder infections that i probably gave my self. Did you know you can get a bladder infection from not drinking enough water Or when wind blows earth in it or from dusty toilet paper. I had to learn a lot we all do.

I have seen some of you talk about white spots and infections. I had lots of white spots this is skin that is not getting enough blood. this skin is dying i had some cut out by my OB GYN. no worries.

Healing was fun so was dilating with all that very painful dying skin that could not be taken. keep dilating and get the blood flowing and these white spots will go away. It just takes time grit your teeth and do it the pain goes away if you do it.

Another Question can we post pics of our surgery?

I had to take a lot of pics to send DR bowers to get info on what to do. i also took 1 pic of me before and all the shrinkage the only before pic of my thing.

Now i love playing with my many dildos and am very happy with my first stage results. i don't have the money for stage 2 .

Congratulations, Triwinggirl!

You may have been the first to arrive in a Class A, but you won't be the last! I will be taking one when I go in for MY surgery (no, no date yet, darnit). The advantages are clear, for those who have access to one! I wonder if I could rent mine to other girls as they head off on that leg of their journey? LOL At least they arrive and depart in STYLE!

Congrats again. And shrinkage is avoidable if you stretch the parts in question.

Love

Pam

Hi Twingirl,

While the pictures sound very interesting to someone like me, just on the doorstep to surgery, they aren't allowed here on the forum. Thanks for asking before posting them.

Hi Pammy,

That sounds like a truly gracious thing to do! That long plane ride home is one of those things I'm really dreading.

Love, Megan

Opps forgot to talk about shrinkage, I'm sorry to say after trauma to the area from rapes and time you can not avoid shrinkage. If you have also been castrated no hope it's gunna shrink, and yes i stretched it regularly.

Estrogen will do it's work things will change after time sorry girls. yu would not want me to lie would you.

Yes. Flying home wasn't what I would call a highlight. That being said, painkillers really helped matters greatly and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it might be. The worst part was TSA and having to unexpectedly change planes at Midway.

Rapes???

I hope, for your sake, you are using this metaphorically. Then again, rape is a pretty heavy topic to use in such a way, IMHO.

Desi, I suspect the automatic word filter did some creative substitution there and came up with "rape". At least it looks that way based on other crazy substitutions I've seen. :)

No i meant RAPED and beaten and left for dead and had to walk home and got no help. this is were i got some of my head injuries. It's vegas baby

Sorry i did not mean to imply this will happen to everyone it did happen to me, i,ve accepted that , make friends with yu problems and they ain't so bad anymore. i don't mean to say it's OK, it is very wrong I know from experience. I worked it out in my head for me, it was that or be CENSORED in the head. :friends:

Sorry :dunno:

Time and estrogen do there work. I had been castrated for 15+years before sugery so oh did they. Mine went inside real quick after awhile they hurt real bad so i had them removed. estrogen works way better when it's not fighting testosterone. SOOOO SHRINKAGE AHHHHH :hairpull: it ended up about as big as my thumb

When you have to fix some things on your own it's good to have a long background of therapy to help you get through it.

I might write about that one day in detail or not? Lets say it is part of why at this time i'm afraid to break it in with a person. It's hard to be a 50+ year old virgin :hairpull:

Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't want to just take it casually in passing since it really is such a serious topic. And I hope you are doing as well as possible in moving on with your life after so much trauma. Best wishes for a much brighter future!

i am starting to believe that i am having trouble with my fake skin. I have been seeing the ads on tv about pelvic mesh and it's problems. so i called the numbers and got little info. I finally got someone to talk to me and they told me continuous infections are one of the problem. I don't seem to have the other problem yet, but now know what to ask about.

I have that i have been getting unexplain no fever general infections since surgery around every 2 months.

i have always had sinus issues so having trouble getting doctors to switch gears.

I am having trouble getting this confirmed because of this, but i am just now aware of what questions to ask. I will update.

it may be best to just leave it alone i hope.

https://www.hrw.org/news/2024/05/15/peru-chooses-bigotry-medical-services     The Health Ministry tried to put the best face on this unscientific gibberish of a decree, but it won't diminish the harm it will do to the Pervian trans community.  They undoubtedly already suffer from severe discrimination and bigotry in a very macho-opriented society.   Carolyn Marie

I'd never heard of it until reading this.  From the thread title I thought it had something to do with the state of Idaho.  But perhaps combined with something about Hobbits, which seemed odd.  My brain goes in weird directions.

I had my surgery 11 years ago, and yes, I too find it much more of an urgent thing than it ever was before.  One possible culprit is going to be T blockers if you are still on them, also the urethral sphincter which holds the pee back is closer to the urethral opening now and more subject to stimulation. When we gotta go we gotta goooooo!!

I notice that the Wikipedia article does not mention the U.S.A. which I can understand a bit.  The entire month of June here is Pride Month for all the organizations and is tied to the 1969 Stonewall Inn riots in New York and also our medical authorities are also not tied as thoroughly to the WHO as they are to the American Psychological and American Psychiatric Associations which write the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health which is generally in line with the WHO which does not play as big a part in our medical practices here.  The WHO does not impact us the way it does the other world countries which is why we are in the dark about the day.  Ironically though, one of the U.S. States is named Idaho which sadly is one of the most conservative and frustrating to the U.S. LGBTQ Community.   The day is international though in the sense of other European and Southern Hemisphere countries it seems.

Hmm. Must have been that pesky 'International' word which made me assume that it was well known! I only became aware of it myself last year.   Brief history: May 17th is the day IDAHOBIT is acknowledged as it is the anniversary of when in 1990 the World Health Organization declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder. It was conceived in 2004 and first celebrated in 2005. It has gone on to include trans folk in 2009 and bi folk in 2015.   International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia - Wikipedia

A year and a half post op. I've noticed that once the urge to pee hits, I can only hold it for about 15 minutes or so until it gets to the point where I feel like I'm going to piss myself. I used to be able to hold it a lot longer (as I  remember it).  I know my urethra is a bit shorter now, but I don't think it is enough to account for this. Am I imagining it?

What a great moment @Vidanjali! It's always so cool knowing people are reading you in a way you want to be seen.

It's also networking.  Sometimes jobs come along because someone knows someone else - these older people might know someone.  "Hey, Ashley," someone might say,"My nephew is looking for love. He likes tall women. Whatcha think? Can he call you?"   Don't discount their ability to match make.  It is about networking.

He is simply doing to get more votes. He held a Trump for trans during his first run and found out the majority of his voters were against us so he simply followed the crowd.

The sad part is I'm the third oldest member. One is in their 60's and the other is past 70's. I'm even older than the president lol. It's a younger crowd that's for sure. I like to come here to feel young again lol.

Ashley, I think searching for relationships are a lot like searching for jobs, they tend to come along when you aren't actually looking.  Perhaps you could step back from actively searching, at least for a little while, and instead, concentrate on just being out and about as yourself.  Like Mae and Abby have already mentioned, just keep up your volunteering, but don't focus on a need to find someone.  Maybe, just maybe, changing your tactics will result in someone finding you.    I do wish only the best for you, and I hope someone comes along who connects with you.
