Trying to pick my transition birthday.

I am trying to pick my transition birthday but I am not sure what date to pick. The day I decided I was going to transition, my first appoinment with my gender therapist, the date my therapist said she would write my recommendation letter, my first doctor's appointment, or the day I started HRT.

There is another date option. On Thursday I had picked up my prescription from Wal-Mart, fully dressed for the first time. After I left, I was driving to a friends house and for some unknown reason I said out loud, "I am such a girl" and started laughing uncontrollably while driving 75mph.

I've been going with the day I started taking HRT. Mostly because that's really when everything started (wishes, losing weight, and HRT), everything until then was just talk/wishes.

Hi Crissy,

The milestones pile up and it's hard to decide which one is the important one. For me, it was five months between my first day of HRT and going full time. I think the biggest single event for me in that period was getting my name changed, and so that's my birthday now, August 22.

July 26th is my transgender birthday. It's the day that I came out as transgender.

Since my first ever time out in public was my 48th natal birthday. (The family party was two days later so I treated myself to my first make-over and outing on my actual BD) I sorta get to claim that one, but that was for my CDing. March 16 2009 was the date I came out to my recovery group as Trans, and July 6, 2009 was the beginning of Hormones. August 20 of last year began my full time RLT, Choices, Choices, what's a girl to do??
